As a Gen Z, I can agree with that.
By anyone who can point out "China bad" carries no substance/content. It's a bs statement with no thought behind it. The "per capita" point on the other hand does carry substance. It puts forward an actual argument. All it takes is a little sense, not walls of text, to put forward something of substance.
Text walls aren’t low effort. Especially for people like yours truly who have meat hammers for hands that we’re supposed to use on tiny ass smart phones. People with emotional commitment on either side wouldn’t be capable of making the call of what is low effort or high effort arguments.
“China bad cuz anti-sino imperialism” and “China good cuz they claim to be socialist” are both inadequate.
Which is why I think we will continue in this purgatory for all eternity because neither side is gonna move, agree on an objective definition of what is appropriate evidence, or realize that absolutism is inherently flawed.
