A Declaration of Independence by the Third Valcourian Republic

We, the people of Valcouria, in our just and righteous goal to establish freedom, justice, and liberty for all, hereby declare our intentions to form a new republic from the ashes of the previous regimes that have so heinously divided our great country. The Valcourian people will no longer tolerate the unwanted foreign influences that have so painfully damaged and divided them, and will, by force of arms if necessary, go on to construct a new nation conceived in liberty and democracy. This new republic will, by the intervention of the Almighty, strive to achieve a stable, united, and prosperous new era for Valcouria and its people for all time.

The Valcourian people hereby categorically reject the illegal regime forced upon it by the changelings, and by the wicked seductress and leader of the Chadicians, a most heinous enemy of Valcourians and all things decent. Valcouria will and must strike out its own path, one free of these interferences, if its very existence is to survive. The Third Republic shall also recognize the existence of the long-defunct Empire, but shall maintain the belief of all true republicans that it was in fact an illegal regime established by a tyrannical autocrat; as such, any laws passed during its existence, as well as any governmental functions, features, and creations, are hereby declared defunct.

The Republic shall strive to create a democratic and social society, one that thrives not on fear and terror but instead on peace, justice, and liberty. All peoples shall exercise suffrage, and shall be entitled to a basic minimum wage, and additionally be entitled to health care, basic facilities, and nourishment for survival. The Republic will work to protect its people from the hardships brought upon it and suffered by the triple occupation the nation has so begrudgingly endured.

We the people of Valcouria recognize, in this current socio-political setting, that our rights and freedoms will become threatened by our bold declaration of independence, and that our oppressors will work to enslave us further to their whims and desires. It is time that Valcouria stand and fight again as a nation, as a people, and as a society. We call upon all Valcourians, of all faiths and beliefs, of all classes and orientations, of all militarily disposed or otherwise, to fight back against this categorical oppression by any means necessary. The tree of liberty must, on occasion, be watered by the blood of tyrants and their supporters, when necessary. And now the blood of the oppressors will be shed to ensure a true Valcourian nation will thrive once again!

Chadicia wrote:"Hm, and why's that?" Rosaline asked a star they sat down around a simple table.

"Enviromental concerns. What if it breaks or rebels and saboteurs attack it? Will Chadicia assist in the clean up?" Victoria rings a bell, drawing in a maid. "You called, Your Highness?"
"Yes, please bring a tea pot and some cups."

OOC: You can't declare independence when you're already independent. Least, I find that redundant, but you do you.

"Maintenance and clean ups can be handled by company workers," Rosaline said. "Security too, thick one could even persuade them to hire locally and bring jobs to the areas near the pipe."

"From our estimates, around 590,000 barrels per day," Rosaline explained.
