Andusre didn't claim it was "illegal", but rather that there is a conflict of interest in granting the Order of Thaecia to an individual who is still the Electoral Commissioner. I don't particularly think this will happen because I fully trust our incumbent Electoral Commissioner, but it's still not a god precedent to set, as the President could grant an order of Thaecia to an incumebent EC to please him and so background corruption could happen to our electoral process.

This was not done by request. This was by me who chose this as a way to celebrate him for his hard work. If you disagree with such, I don't know where you have been. As I have stated.. there is no law written to divert this award to him. He is a hard-working Commissioner as you seen for months.. Trying to divert this award to a person where it is most deserved than I'm speechless. I will not reserve this, PresidentTitanne will decide the fate. Regardless of their role in government, they have the legal right to be nominated. And I find it also very disgusting that you believe corruption will happen if the nomination passes, I find it to be an insult to our amazing EC.

Again, you need to read what I say mate, I just stated I fully trust our incumbent commissioner, don't try to pretend like I am the bad dude trying to sabotage the Commissioner, I stand to gain nothing from arguing against this, I am not involved in government nor do I hold any personal grudge against the Commissioner, much rather the opposite, I would support his nomination after his term ended to set good precedent:
It's easy to understand, the idea of politcians granting awards to the incumbent manager of all elections is frankly absurd and a dumb idea which can lead to abuse.

Aww, thank you guys so much! You are all so sweet. I never asked for the Order of Thaecia, and since my time working for our beloved Thaecia is far from over, I think with Cerd and Andy's valid reasons considered, the Order of Thaecia can easily wait (although I am so honored albeit shocked to have even been nominated).

That being said, I have an announcement to make...
Dearest Thaecians-
I have been so honored to serve this region as EC over the past couple of months. When I took office there were more vacancies in our government than people, our collective morale was in shambles, and our democracy was being questioned. I had seen friends leave the region and questioning whether Thaecia would ever be the same. I knew then that it was no time for more partisan politics or rash decisions. So, I tried to do my part in the team effort to reverse the downward turn. I became an independent, entered the EC, and was determined to help with this revival of our region and complete a tip-top agenda for the EC.
While I have been EC, our government vacancies have been filled one by one, old friends have come back, and new faces have gotten involved. I think our collective morale has been raised, it is clear our democracy is strong. With fantastic debates and world-class election results, our electoral process is better than ever. My time as EC has been amazing, and we have accomplished more than I ever thought and more as a region during this short time. With these goals having been checked off my list, I think it is time for me to move along and serve the region in another capacity (more on that in a bit!!). I will officially resign in a few days after the inaugurations and Speaker/Chair elections are complete.
This is not to say that what I have done with the commission will be lost. I am looking forward to working with President Titanne to find a terrific next Commissioner and to give our next EC the tools to continue our unparalleled electoral excellence. (In fact, maybe our next EC will be even better!)
So thank you for giving me the honor to serve as EC, Thaecia! I would be more than willing to do it again in the future if we are ever in dire need again. But right now I think our region needs something else from me, which is why I will be starting work on two new big projects which will be announced tomorrow. Woo hoo!

😁 Ooh, the details!! I'll just put it this way: I came to the EC with a plan, I got it done, and now it is time to move to another type of work with another set of plans and goals. I was never planning for it to be a long term thing, just as long as I was truly needed.
I guess I am like Mary Poppins, I came to the EC when I was most needed and now the wind has changed and it is time to start another part of my work for Thaecia.
