Nothing like IT problems throwing a wrench in everything. Thank god all of my work stuff got done that needed the internet before everything died….

We had to escalate our problem. We should not have had to tell them to look bigger, it was not just our website. Then they got the O-face and worked all night on it and we are back in business.

They never did say what it was though.

There was a time that Coke Zero had the Orange Vanilla in cans at the local H-E-Bs. That combined with the Big Swig Prickly Pear water was all we needed and then they took them from us

The storm shifted further south than first expected, they're now saying up to 6 inches tomorrow. Therefore we have an official snow day tomorrow, I'll try to sleep in but will probably still be up fairly early. I'm guessing the Brass learned their lesson from the last storm in which half the staff stayed home and they ended up closing at 1pm anyway.

Almost everything is back up for us. The subscription based software all woke up happy this morning.

There is one system that is stubbornly refusing to to come back. The vendor is trying to figure out what's up with that.

However, this event, whatever it was, has started the powers that be discussing net down situations. That and some stunning license fee increases over already checkbook busting rates from Avid and Adobe might lead to some heavy duty changes before the year is out.

We got a good 7 inches of snow this morning.

I saw that. That is an amazing story. Especially that part about his employers repeatedly trying to shut him down.

Just realized I'm #17 on our best nations leaderboard, somehow. Pretty proud of that!

***** Texas Saturday Breakfast *****

Yahootie! Yummy Taco Time Texas! Are you ready for some Saturday Breakfast, still All-Fresh? Bring out the Drones! The NewTexas Happy Taco Stands, in conjunction with the NewTexas Incendiary Corporation, has approximately 1 trillion of the fastest, lightest drones you have ever seen. This fleet is specially designed to deliver tacos to every man, woman, child, whatever, in Texas, all 2,292,770,000,000 of you.

For your dining pleasure, today's special breakfast will Saturday Ham & Egg & Cheese Tacos [COVID-19 Week CXCVI Edition]! This is your delicious morning wake-up call Texas! We have been up all night baking hams just so we can dice them up for this delectable ham and egg taco! 100% Texas-born and bred piggies plus Grade AA jumbo, free-range, farm-fresh, brown eggs, scrambled to perfection, equals breakfast taco heaven. The super-juicy ham is flash-fried to give it just a hint of browning on the flat top right before they are gently scrambled into the fluffy eggs. These two simple, expertly prepared ingredients are hand-rolled in a hot, fresh flour tortilla made on the premises multiple times daily. That is all you need right there, but we are going to spice it up to include the Make It Holler kit, which is a cup of freshly roasted green chilis you can add to your taco. And, ham just screams for cheese as do eggs, so we are including a cup of Texas' own Longhorn Jack cheese to boot. For a little fun, there is a special red cup of Habanero Jack if you really want to holler.

Today's Special Salsa is a Texas Two-Fer - Chile Quemado - our fiery roasted salsa made from tomatoes, onions, garlic, and jalapeños roasted fresh on the grill. Additionally, we will include another red cup of - Sweet Mango Habanero Salsa - roasted tomatoes, bell peppers, habanero peppers, jalapeño peppers, mango, and a touch of cilantro and lime juice, only to be tried by the exceptionally brave. The tacos are hermetically sealed in a Stay-Warm® pouch that is wrapped in the same ol' aluminum foil we are all so familiar with for our breakfast taco. The Juice Bar will not be possible this week. But, for your beverage needs, a packet of Sanka, Tang and a Lipton Tea bag will be included with every delivery as well as salt and pepper and a napkin. Yes, it is different, but it works and you do not even have to leave your residence. Woo! And, watch out for the drones! Start your day off the right way; munch out and go back to sleep. You know you want to!®

Stay Safe Texas. Stay Well. Hang in there!

***** Texas Chat Reminder *****

The Texas Weekly Chat Session will be Saturday (TODAY) at High Noon Texas Time (CDT) ***Saturday***. And, if you can't be there right at Noon, that is Ok, Texas Chat usually runs 3, 4, or 5 hours with some Chats running as high as 7 or 8 hours.

The Texas Chat Site is here: http://texasregion.net/blab70/login.php

Please register with your nation name. This is an excellent opportunity for nations old and new to Texas to find out what is going on! We chat, debate, and talk about the weather, stuff we like, stuff we hate, random stuff, and more. But, it is never stuffy. Usually, it is about meeting your fellow Texans and discussing the latest and most interesting stuff in NationStates. But then again, sometimes NationStates does not even come up. It is wide-open chatting with peeps from around The World both IRL and NS. It is Texans, EuroTexans, WannabeTexans, ex-Texans, VirtualTexans, and plenty of Friends of Texans. We have it all and all are welcome.

We have added a new feature to Texas Chat, Texas Movie Chat! Chat with Texans while watching a movie. Fun stuff! So far we have watched Halloween, Shootout at the OK Corral, Red, and recently a few new Star Trek series episodes. Want to watch something together?

Texas Chat, 976 weeks and running! For the math-challenged, that is over 19¼ years! Check it out! Good stuff!
