Must have been a malfunction in the cryochambers. We'll contact Starfleet Medical to dispose of the remains, or maybe just a transporter tech.

You were ranked in the Top 1% of the world for Most Armed.

Hooray! I never expected that to happen. :)

***** Texas Saturday Breakfast *****

YipYipYippee! Are you ready for some Saturday Breakfast, still All-Fresh? Bring out the Drones! The NewTexas Happy Taco Stands, in conjunction with the NewTexas Incendiary Corporation, has approximately 1 trillion of the fastest, lightest drones you have ever seen. This fleet is specially designed to deliver tacos to every man, woman, child, whatever, in Texas, all 2,475,416,000,000 of you.

Today's special breakfast will be Saturday Potato & Egg Breakfast Tacos [COVID-19 CXLIX Edition]! Even though this pleasantly mild taco is made with only two ingredients, it is delightfully decadent when everything is fresh. Simply put, NewTexas-grown Yukon Gold potatoes are cubed and lightly browned in farm-fresh Texas creamery butter with just a hint of onion and hearty, rich, yellow, pillow-ey, Grade-A scrambled eggs! A giant scoop is gently ladled into homemade flour tortillas and wrapped up tight just for you, Texas! Remember, A whole egg in every taco!®

Today's Special Salsa is a Texas tradition - Chile Quemado - our fiery roasted salsa made from tomatoes, onions, garlic, and jalapeños roasted fresh on the grill. The tacos are hermetically sealed in a Stay-Warm® pouch that is wrapped in the same ol' aluminum foil we are all so familiar with for our breakfast taco. The Juice Bar will not be possible this week. But, for your beverage needs, a packet of Sanka, Tang and a Lipton Tea bag will be included with every delivery as well as salt and pepper and a napkin. Yes, it is different, but it works and you do not even have to leave your residence. Woo! And, watch out for the drones! Start your day off the right way; munch out and go back to sleep. You know you want to!®

Stay Safe Texas. Stay Well. Hang in there!

***** Texas Shout Outs *****

@ Fort verden - R.I.P to The Von Richthofen Family of Nations©! BooHoo!
@ Yip Man - Way to go to Emperor Yip Kai Man on building an army more armed than 99% of the rest of the world. Each soldier must be armed with dozens of shurikens and several sets of nunchaku over and above the standard Uzis and Phasers! Way to go, Max!
@ Talitha Macer - Nice thought-provoking Poll, Colonel! 40 years ago, we would have said Love. 20 years ago we would have said Wealth. These days, we will just settle on some good ol' Health. Interesting how priorities change as you age.

***** Texas Chat Reminder *****

The Texas Weekly Chat Session will be Saturday (TODAY) at High Noon Texas Time (CDT) ***Saturday***. And, if you can't be there right at Noon, that is Ok, Texas Chat usually runs 3, 4, or 5 hours with some Chats running as high as 7 or 8 hours.

The Texas Chat Site is here: http://texasregion.net/blab70/login.php

Please register with your nation name. This is an excellent opportunity for nations old and new to Texas to find out what is going on! We chat, debate, and talk about the weather, stuff we like, stuff we hate, random stuff, and more. But, it is never stuffy. Usually, it is about meeting your fellow Texans and discussing the latest and most interesting stuff in NationStates. But then again, sometimes NationStates does not even come up. It is wide-open chatting with peeps from around The World both IRL and NS. It is Texans, EuroTexans, WannabeTexans, ex-Texans, VirtualTexans, and plenty of Friends of Texans. We have it all and all are welcome.

We have added a new feature to Texas Chat, Texas Movie Chat! Chat with Texans while watching a movie. Fun stuff! So far we have watched Halloween, Shootout at the OK Corral, Red, and recently a few new Star Trek series episodes. Want to watch something together?

Texas Chat, 930 weeks and running! For the math-challenged, that is over 18½ years! Check it out! Good stuff!

Tex and I were talking about that during the chat. It's Verden and their clan, but no one really knows why they all went into stasis. Hopefully the reactivation subroutines work

If anyone is interested, I'll probably be showing the 90's Night of the Living Dead tomorrow around 3 pm Eastern

Gotta drive. :( But that would have been fun.

Apparently, you can just refuse to work with a pharmacist you don't like. At least that's the rumor about what happened at another store.

Forest news

It is my great pleasure and privilege to announce the conclusion of the March 2023 Forest Keeper Election!

No kidding? There's a few people around here I don't like. I wonder if I can pull that one off as well.

Which is better russia or votskov

I would argue Texas is a Golden Retriever; Golden and iconic, a classic symbol of Americana

Also some news, I applied to and was accepted to two universities in Texas, namely Baylor and Texas A&M. Comments, questions, but most importantly, advice? Recommendations?

well you'll be a traitor if you don't pick A&M. JK either one is fine but A&M it's the one school I wanted to get into but couldn't. there is one thing you might consider. take all your core classes like math, science, english, history, etc. at Blinn College's Bryan Campus it's cheaper lots of A&M students do this. Oh if you have never been here for a football, basketball, baseball game please go to A&M Fish Camp they will tell you the ins and outs of Texas A&M and student life. One thing I can tell you is that if you decide to come to A&M please don't walk on the grass at the MSC, do not be loud, and do not wear hats indoors at the MSC which stands for Memorial Student Center. The grass is living memorial so dont walk on it. Plus the Bonfire Memorial near the Polo fields where 12 students died in the 1999 collapse just be respectful.

4 epsiodes left and Picard S3 continues to deliver. It could very well replace Strange New Worlds S1 as the best live action season of the relaunch.

Other (Please post on the RMB):

Decide on a Major (or Double Majors) and choose the best University for your Major (Or Majors).

Thank you for the advice! I did not know about the Blinn College loophole, so that's great to know. I have actually been to Texas A&M, last month(my first time going to Texas, I'm a Californian) for what they call "Aggieland Saturday," an event where I got to learn the ins and outs of the University. Most importantly, I got to experience the social atmosphere, or "vibe," of Texas A&M, and let me tell you, Texas A&M passed the vibe check. Thank you for your information about the MSC. I don't want to be a know-it-all, but I did research the University beforehand so I was well aware of the important traditions at Texas A&M and promptly removed my hat before entering each time, which impressed my tour guide. I love a University that honors its traditions. Baylor I have not had the opportunity to visit and experience the vibe, so right now, Texas A&M is the favorite.

Thank you for the advice! I am considering double-majoring in political science and economics. What I want to be is a doctor. Most people laugh when I tell them I want to be a doctor with those degrees, but my sister(who is a doctor) said it's a good idea because everyone comes at the medical school with a science degree like biology or chemistry. Knowing that I want to major in PS/Economics and want to be a doctor, which University is preferable?

¡Old School Taco Time! Are you ready for some Saturday Breakfast, still All-Fresh? Saturday Breakfast In Place time! Bring out the Drones! The NewTexas Happy Taco Stands, in conjunction with the NewTexas Incendiary Corporation, has approximately 1 trillion of the fastest, lightest drones you have ever seen. For your dining pleasure, today's special breakfast will Saturday Weenie con Huevo y Queso Tacos [COVID-19 Week CL Edition]! This is a tradicional Mexican morning staple that can be served any time of day! The Head Smoker of Taco Town is getting a rest as the Big Tex Abuelas and Abuelitas break out the ginormous black cast-iron skillets. Yes, hungry Texans, it is precisely what it sounds like. Weenies, aka hot dogs, are cubed-up and expertly, lightly browned in the skillet with diced onions and diced tomatoes. Just that easy. Once everything has some color on it, egg after egg, after egg, is cracked right into the mix and less-than-gently scrambled in. This all happens very fast and at the end, handfuls of coarsely-shredded genuine Longhorn Cheddar cheese are stirred in and a heaping spoonful is slapped into a hot, fresh flour tortilla, also made by our very own Abuelas on the premises multiple times daily. It is just that simple and delicious. Remember, a whole egg in every taco!®

Today's Special Salsa is once again, not salsa at all but is - Ketchup - yep, the standard good ol' red stuff. For taco purists, a cup of Pico de Gallo is also included. The tacos are hermetically sealed in a Stay-Warm® pouch that is wrapped in the same ol' aluminum foil we are all so familiar with for our breakfast taco. The Juice Bar will not be possible this week. A question for the region so I can decide whether or not to beat an employee.

Let us say you need to three 1/4-20 x 3/4" bolts. Do you:
—Go to the hardware store and buy three?
—Go to the hardware store and buy five because you are sure to drop one or two of them?
—Go to the hardware store and buy a box of them?

Does your answer change if this is a fairly common bolt on the equipment you use?

**ITB wanders off muttering something about buying them books, sending them to school, showing them the films.... **
