Emmett hasn't been posting on this forum because Emmett is depressed. My girlfriend who has been my girlfriend for 2 years left me for my best friend about two weeks ago. :(
Emmett is happy Verner isn't in hospital anymore and is well enough to go home. Emmett wishes Verner and Leia and their 3 sons to be well and happy and have good times for the rest of this year.
Happy birthday to the Internet and to Trecdom too!
Did Space Invaders and Tetris existed back then?
New flag? Edge Calibur needs a new flag too and Emmett has created a new flag. It's inspired by someone else's flag XD
Emmett will light prayer candles and pray for the good health, well being and happiness of everyone in Texas in church every Sunday starting from this Sunday.
Gotta find my flag image file... :/
**** New WA Resolution Notification *****
There is currently a new General Assembly Resolution at vote. When expressing your opinion, please note which Resolution it is for. And remember Texans, your individual vote does count!
The new Resolution is called:
"The Cloning Conventions
A resolution to modify universal standards of healthcare.
Category: Health Area of Effect: Bioethics Proposed by: Caspian Settlement
Disturbed by the lack of legislation concerning biological clones"...
<see the General Assembly for full text and to vote>
Commentary: The General Assembly wants to tell you how to perform cloning in your nation should you so decide. Is it really the WA's business if you want to clone a previous leader or whomever for that matter? We do not think so. Your nation, your freedom to dangle. No Stars. NewTexas will go on record as AGAINST on this Resolution. This is only the opinion of NewTexas. We look forward to other Texans' opinions and comments on this Resolution. If good arguments to the contrary are made, we will reconsider our position.
The Texas response was down on the last GA vote -- Repeal: "On Tobacco And Electronic Cigarettes" -- which was defeated after gaining only 20.3% of the vote. As a reminder, all we are looking for is a simple 10% of Texans to say one way or another. We are a force for change in the WA. Every vote counts! There were 3 publicly-expressed opinions on the last Resolution with the final Texas tally running 3 FOR and 0 AGAINST and 0 ABSTAIN and 0 UNDECIDED. Texans were unanimous! Yay!
If you would like to take part in shaping the world you live in, please vote. Voting is a right and a privilege, please consider using it. And, if you are not a member of the World Assembly, we strongly encourage you to join.
All Texas WA Member nations please vote. Please make your Texan opinions known in Texas by 11:00 PM Friday and in the World Assembly voting booth by 11:00 PM Texas Time on Saturday the 16th. Current voting in The World is running - Votes FOR: 4171 Votes AGAINST: 7077
PS: Remember, be sure to vote at the World Assembly too!
Texas Graveyard CryoChambers®? I've never seen it Big Tex. It's located in a bunker somewhere here?
Friendly Fire! Friendly Fire! :p
Hi Sir! *Rolls out the Red Carpet as a token of welcome.*
"Thank goodness you've returned! Much has changed since you lived here..."
(I totally borrowed that line from Ogden in Diablo but it works in this case ;) )
Welcome back to Texas and NationStates. :)
I hope you find a better girlfriend soon, your new flag is cool and thanks in advance for your prayers Emmett. :)
John-117 is Cortana's Spartan. So who's your Spartan, Kyletana?
You're welcome Leia. I'm happy to hear this good news about Verner and hope he doesn't wind up in hospital again for a long time. :)
Good show Falcona! I'd like to request a Cajun Winterfell Texas Culinary Channel version of a MRE (Meal, Ready-To-Eat) complete with a Soldier Fuel Bar, formerly known as a Hooah! Bar. This isn't a joke request ;)
Here's some info to help you comply with my request and good luck should you decide accept my challenge:
Colonel Talitha Macer
I have no Spartan Talitha. I'm a ship A.I. of the UNSC Sabre of Dawn, a Sol-class Command Carrier not to be confused with the UNSC Hammer of Dawn, a Marathon-Class Heavy Cruiser. :)
Thumbs up on this request. I'd like to see a Cajun Winterfell Texas Culinary Channel version of a MRE too!
What? Fiefdoms? I'd like to think we're bigger than that! :p

Emissary Update for February!
Good morning Texans!
Today is Friday the 15th of March, 2019, also known as the Ides of March. On this day in 44 BC, the Ides of March became notorious as the date of the assassination of Julius Caesar which made the Ides of March a turning point in Roman history.
Special Quote of the Day: Et tu, Brute?
Et tu, Brute? (pronounced [ɛt ˈtuː ˈbruːtɛ]) is a Latin phrase literally meaning "and you, Brutus?" or "also you, Brutus?", often translated as "You as well, Brutus?" or "Even you, Brutus?".
This phrase is used in Act-III, Scene-I, lines 75-78 of Shakespeare’s play, Julius Caesar. These are spoken as the dying words of Caesar; however, they are not historically proven. Shakespeare has a reputation for manipulating historical facts for dramatic effect. On March 15 (the Ides of March), 44 BCE, the historic Julius Caesar was attacked by a group of senators, including Brutus, who was Caesar's friend and protégé. They rushed to stab him and he, after seeing Brutus among them, responded with "Et tu, Brute?" as he succumbed to his fate.
Regular Quote of the Day: No one is so brave that he is not disturbed by something unexpected. - Julius Caesar
The Cloning Conventions:
I have several issues with this Resolution. First and foremost are the clauses;
"Seeking to prevent potential detriment and harm to future clones so that they are not mistreated nor misused, and in the case of sapient clones, ensure they have the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."
"Grants all clones the same rights as their originator’s species, regardless of any disabilities resulting from a failed cloning;"
I support not mistreating or misusing clones. However, if by ensuring they have the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness and granting them the same rights as their originator's species means the clones will be treated as regular citizens and given all the rights of citizenship then I am against this. Citizens have voting rights and I am sure you can see how and where this can be badly misused.
Secondly, the clause:
"Bans the intentional cloning of conscious, feeling organisms from sapient originators for biomedical experimentation and use..."
I find this clause disagreeable. I would prefer to test an artificial mechanical heart on a clone rather than a heart patient who is waiting for a heart transplant. In addition, in any nations which posessed cloning technology, medications for serious diseases like heart disease and cancer would have been better off being tested on clones as well since some of the new medications might have unforeseen and potentally lethal side effects.
For example, On Monday the 13th March, 2006, eight healthy young men took part in a clinical trial of an experimental drug known as TGN1412. The drug was intended to treat leukaemia and had already been successfully tested on monkeys but never on humans. It should have been a routine clinical trial but it became catastrophic as TGN1412 caused multiple organ failure in the six men who were injected with it at Northwick Park Hospital, London, UK. This clinical trial of an experimental drug spiraled into one of the most infamous medical emergencies in recent British history. I am sure it is obvious now as to why it would be much more preferable to test such experimental drugs on clones.
Lastly, this clause:
"Assigns the World Assembly Scientific Programme the duties of overlooking cloning for biomedical research and use to ensure their accordance with this resolution and the promotion of the sharing of cloning technology."
This is a waste of the WA's time and resources and it is neither the duty nor the right of the WA to do this. Additionally, I do not believe the WA has the right to police or regulate every member nation and ensure their compliance with this Regulation.
Furthermore I do not believe the WA has the right to legislate what we can or cannot do with our clones. For example, if I wish to use my clones as body doubles, I should be allowed to do so. Nyah ha ha ha :) Unfortunately if they have the same rights as the originator (me), then my clones will possess the right to protest against being used as my body double.
In addition, not all member nations in the WA are technologically advanced enough to be involved in cloning. Therefore, I believe it is the perogative of each member nation to legislate this issue themselves.
Therefore, I will go on record as being AGAINST this Resolution:
<<Fort Verden's vote against "The Cloning Conventions" has been noted.>>
I will miss being called buddy and given back rubs by the members of my ECMO support team whenever I requested it while I was in the ICU.
My love, I have learnt my lesson and will never argue with you again for the rest of my life. Arguing with you and winning the argument that I did not need an angiogram nearly ended my life. Additionally, I did not protest because the extra days of sick leave gave me time to overcome and get over my negative emotions which I did not have the energy to suppress and purge and bad memories which overwhelmed me after I was discharged from hospital and we returned home. It allowed me to grieve and mourn the loss of my old athletic and hyperactive lifestyle, for being only 39 years old and already suffered a massive heart attack and have a bypassed artery in my heart, and for ambitions which I will never achieve now, such as becoming an actual pilot.
Forgive me Leia my love. Asking to be taken off life support so I can die in peace was the greatest mistake I have ever made in this lifetime. When I regained consciousness from being comatose and discovered I have turned into a bedridden invalid who needed full cardiopulmonary life support and continuous medical care, I wanted to give up and die. I loved you too much to want to be a burden to you. That was why I asked to be allowed to die. I do not wish to hurt you and therefore will never ask to be allowed to die again. As for serenading you with love songs in the ICU, I have serenaded you with love songs daily since our wedding day. I did not want to stop serenading you with love songs when I was dying. I am extremely sorry for hurting you and I have regained my internal will to live - I will stay alive for you and our sons. :)
Leia my love, I no longer feel that I deserve this title but will do my utmost best to live up to it from now on. :)
Unfortunately I am too young to be a Sensible Grandparent or I would do this. Nyah ha ha ha! :)
<<The Eternal Emperor, Verner Von Richthofen affixes his seal of approval on Queen Falcona Stark’s Texas Culinary Channel. >>
Buddy, any girl who has been your girlfriend for two years but left you for your best friend does not deserve your attention, love and time. You will find a new girlfriend who deserves to be with you. Negative emotions will become all consuming and destructive from within if you allow it to be. Do not give in to your depression. Overcome and get over it instead and let go of that ex-girlfriend so you can move on with your life.
Thank you buddy!
Thank you again buddy!
Welcome back to Texas!:

Have a nice day everyone and thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your prayers for my health.

anyone following the news about New Zealand?
also when will the ncaabk brackets go up?
Oh cool! Sounds like fun!
Sir, I believe you're wise enough to be our "Sensible Grandparent" here in Texas despite being young. However, I wouldn't want my "Sensible Grandparent" to go "Nyah ha ha ha!". That said, if you're going to be our "Sensible Grandparent" you need to stop laughing like a maniac or a villain. Seriously, it would be too freaky to have a "Sensible grandparent" who laughs like that. Btw, do you really laugh like that in real life or do you only go "Nyah ha ha ha!" on this RMB?
I really hate terrorists. They're the scum of the Earth.
What's the ncaabk brackets?
