Greetings,
For starters I hope that everyone had a Texcellent holiday with family, friends, and loved ones. As you all may know by now Texas was tag raided a few days ago. In recent years we have been a target due to NewTexas' consecutive run as Delegate of Texas. Tag raids aside he is actually the longest consecutively serving Delegate in NationStates. We as a government would love to be able to prevent these tag raids once and for all.
The easiest and most simple way of doing this is endorsing our delegate NewTexas. Out of the 44 nations in Texas that currently belong to the WA only 27 of us are endorsing the Delegate. This is unacceptable. Please check and if you haven't done so please do ASAP. The security and future of our region truly does depend on it. If you haven't joined the WA yet please do so. Even if it's just to endorse NewTexas. The more endorsements he has equals better security for us all. There are currently 175 nations here and our WA participation can and should be better.
The next route is one that we don't want to use. It's the powers vested to the Governor by the Texas Constitution. I have attached the pertinent articles as a reminder:
Article XIV: Regional Security
In the interest of regional security, no nation may engage in the practice of verbal or written endorsement swapping. This means that no nation shall be allowed to telegram or post messages promising to swap endorsements. No other restrictions shall be placed on endorsements and nations are free to endorse whoever they please, including endorsing a nation because that nation endorsed them, so long as it is done out of free will and not mutual written or verbal agreement.
Article XXIII: Texas Endorsement Rules
No Texas nation may have more than 66% of the number of nations endorsing it as the WA Delegate has endorsements. On the first offense, a nation that exceeds that number will be given 24 hours to correct it. Failing that, they will be asked to leave Texas for 24 hours to clear out their endorsements. Upon the completion of that time, they may return. If the nation refuses, they will be ejected. On the second offense, the nation will be ejected and banned from Texas.
If we all pitch in it won't come to this. See something suspicious say something please. Do your part to keep Texas free and secure and endorse your Delegate

Analysis: The Security Council feels the need to remove the Commendation from a former leader of a Feeder/Sinker region. It seems that they have let their people down by "the exploitation of at-risk nations". We do not really know how or what that is, but it seems to be the crux of the problem and sounds bad. We really do not know what is going on here or if it is all politics, but we will trust the author. Two Stars. NewTexas will go on record as FOR on this Resolution. This is only the opinion of NewTexas. We look forward to other Texans' opinions and comments on this Resolution. If good arguments to the contrary are made, we will reconsider our position.
