**** New WA Resolution Notification *****

There is currently a new General Assembly Resolution at vote. When expressing your opinion, please note which Resolution it is for. And remember Texans, your individual vote does count!

The new Resolution is called:
"Protection Of Biomedical Research
A resolution to modify universal standards of healthcare.

Category: Health Area of Effect: Research Proposed by: Tinfect Diplomatic Enclave

Recognizing the vast potential of biomedical research to improve and save the lives of"...

<see the General Assembly for full text and to vote>

Synopsis: The General Assembly wants to expand the reach of the Biomedical Innovation Organization of the World Health Authority to include biomedical research and to ensure that it is done safely and humanely and that you are in compliance with their guidelines. Sigh, nice, we guess. Three Stars. NewTexas will go on record as FOR on this Resolution. This is only the opinion of NewTexas. We look forward to other Texans' opinions and comments on this Resolution. If good arguments to the contrary are made, we will reconsider our position.

The Texas response was flat on the last GA vote -- Voting Equality For Freed Inmates -- which was passed after gaining 82.1% of the vote. As a reminder, all we are looking for is a simple 10% of Texans to say one way or another. We are a force for change in the WA. Every vote counts! There were 5 publicly-expressed opinions on the last Resolution with the final Texas tally running 0 FOR and 5 AGAINST and 0 ABSTAIN and 0 UNDECIDED. Texans were unanimous! Yay!

If you would like to take part in shaping the world you live in, please vote. Voting is a right and a privilege, please consider using it. And, if you are not a member of the World Assembly, we strongly encourage you to join.

All Texas WA Member nations please vote. Please make your Texan opinions known in Texas by 11:00 PM Wednesday and in the World Assembly voting booth by 11:00 AM Texas Time on Thursday the 11th. Current voting in The World is running - Votes FOR: 6022 Votes AGAINST: 2571

PS: Remember, be sure to vote at the World Assembly too!

For the yarns contest, I'm thinking of explaining the legend behind why the people of Trecdom hold a celebration on the Winter Solstice.

F799ís WA affiliate is firmly AGAINST the WA resolution. Who are they to tell me that I cannot restrict biomedical research beyond that which is ethical. Maybe glowing green algae is ethical; but we still donít want it!

I already submitted my yarn. the one I wanted to submit was a section from my national history I am writing but I didn't copy and paste it properly into word so I came up with a sequel to Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom that follows a World War Z/Resident Evil like story.

Letís go Georgia!!

To an Auburn fan like myself, this game is just two evils. But if I must pick one, Georgia.

You chose unwisely.

That was quite the game if I do say so myself. Who would've thought that a freshman qb would give the Tide the spark they needed.

Issues Test Bed wrote:You chose unwisely.

I thought Georgia had that game won...

Indian Empire wrote:I thought Georgia had that game won...

me too but, I will really only care about the game if A&M gets into the National Championship

Pointe Rose wrote:That was quite the game if I do say so myself. Who would've thought that a freshman qb would give the Tide the spark they needed.

If Georgia had come out in the second half and played like they did in the first Georgia wins. They went too conservative too early and when they finally figured it out it was too late and the momentum had shifted.

The QB change definitely helped their offense but UG left their defense on the field way too long in the second half which showed as they went to OT. Georgiaís offense cost them that game

Why am I doing so well in Healthcare? And not just here either, my two nations in XKI are in the top ten, one at number 1.

I asked for some clarification regarding the Yarn Contest and am passing it on.

While the story doesn't have to be About winter, Winter must be a major part of the plot.

I think Sat night and on Sunday I need to keep the computer off. Instead I should sit down with my i-Pod and a notebook. Will likely be the only way I get the story finished in time.

I hope you have fun writing it, Trec.

***** Texas Saturday Breakfast *****

Oh Boy, it is Saturday Breakfast time again! Man, it is cold in Texas, so, let's make today Steak & Egg Saturday! There is no better way to start your day than with a big, beefy, super-juicy, genuine Texas-born, raised and BBQ'd 14-ounce Black Angus filet grilled to order over your choice of mesquite or hickory. This is the freshest, most tender, Texas beef you will ever taste. The ranch where they are raised is, ironically enough, just down Ranch Road 2018. Pick your own steak and watch as it is expertly grilled before your eyes as delicious farm-fresh, organic eggs are cooked to order as well. We will even give you a choice between scrambled (our personal favorite), fried, over easy, sunny-side up, poached, boiled or some even prefer raw. However you choose, it will be prepared to perfection. Sides will include yummy home fries or creamy cheese grits and your choice of toast. No Juice Bar today. Start your day off the right way, munch out and go back to sleep. Of course, The Never Ending Urn of Coffee is full and ready to help you wash it all down. Come on down and start your day right Texas. You know you want to!ģ
