If he calls that old then I'm around maybe Bronze Age old at 16-17 billion people

The World Average is 2.96 Billion, but the Texas average is at about 11 Billion. So I'm actually decently young compared to Texan Nations as a whole, but I sit substantially over the NS Average.

The whole Nation of Eitna is absolutely shocked due to the newest WA Legislation "Repeal Restrictions On Hydraulic Fracturing".
Eitnabain are known to take environmental topics quite serious. Thus in this case many religious organisations have announced either the end of the world or its total destruction.

The national traffic coordination authority, bureau for foreign relation kindly asks to vote against the legislation (to keep the previous one) to prevent a nationwide mass hysteria.

**** New WA Resolution Notification *****

There is currently a new General Assembly Resolution at vote. When expressing your opinion, please note which Resolution it is for. And remember Texans, your individual vote does count!

The new Resolution is called:
"Repeal: "Restrictions On Hydraulic Fracturing"
A resolution to repeal previously passed legislation.

Category: Repeal Resolution: GA#417 Proposed by: Imperium Anglorum

General Assembly Resolution #417 "Restrictions on Hydraulic Fracturing" (Category: Environmental; Industry Affected: All Businesses) shall be struck out"...

<see the General Assembly for full text and to vote>

Synopsis: The General Assembly is attempting the rare Insta-Repeal™ of the controversial fracking Resolution. Most Texans wanted to save the planet last time, so we are going to respect their wishes. Two Stars. As a reminder, the issue here is the REPEAL of the existing law. A vote AGAINST this Resolution means you are in favor of the existing law and do not want it repealed. A vote FOR this Resolution means you want the law off the books. NewTexas will go on record as AGAINST on this Resolution. This is only the opinion of NewTexas. We look forward to other Texans' opinions and comments on this Resolution. If good arguments to the contrary are made, we will reconsider our position.

The Texas response was way up on the last GA vote -- Restrictions On Hydraulic Fracturing -- which was passed after gaining 69.4% of the vote. As a reminder, all we are looking for is a simple 10% of Texans to say one way or another. We are a force for change in the WA. Every vote counts! There were 6 publicly-expressed opinions on the last Resolution with the final Texas tally running 5 FOR and 1 AGAINST and 0 ABSTAIN and 0 UNDECIDED. Texans were almost unanimous on that one.

If you would like to take part in shaping the world you live in, please vote. Voting is a right and a privilege, please consider using it. And, if you are not a member of the World Assembly, we strongly encourage you to join.

All Texas WA Member nations please vote. Please make your Texan opinions known in Texas by 11:00 PM Monday and in the World Assembly voting booth by 11:00 PM Texas Time on Tuesday the 5th. Current voting in The World is running - Votes FOR: 3530 Votes AGAINST: 3595

***** Texas Saturday Breakfast *****

Wooo! It is Saturday breakfast time again! And it is one of our all-time favorites - ToastFest! For your fine dining pleasure, today will be toast, toast, toast and more toast! Oh Yeah! For the ultimate toast experience, we will start right off with traditional white bread, soft and spongy right out of the plastic bag! This is the stuff toast dreams are made of. These pillows of bready goodness are toasted until golden brown on one side, slathered in farm-fresh, Genuine Texas Angus butter, churned freshly daily, and then lightly toasted on the other side just until the butter bubbles and browns giving it a nutty deliciosity that is unmatched in any other breakfast treat. For the health conscious, we have brown whole wheat bread. For the gonzo health nuts, we have Seventeen Grain Nut Loaf with all kinds of healthy grassy things ground up made into a bread of sorts that can be toasted. Of course, there will be thick slab Texas Toast either toasted in the oven or grilled on the flat top. We also have super-yummy cinnamon toast and cinnamon-raisin bread toast. For the funky-inclined, we have rye bread toast, pumpernickel toast, rosemary bread toast, Challah bread toast and English Toasting Bread toast. That English Toasting Bread is really good stuff and comes highly-recommended for the true toast connoisseur. The chefs just keep popping out so many types of bread, if you don't see something you like, just ask. Onto the toast toppings! Woo, we are swooning now. If you thought that was a lot of toast, there are almost more toppings for toast, glorious toast. Nature's Finest Food! We will just start listing them - plain ol' Buttered Toast (salted or no), Flavored Butter Toast, Peanut Butter Toast, Peanut Butter and Jelly Toast, Nutella Toast, Honey Toast, Cheese Toast, Applesauce on Toast, Peanut Butter and Banana Toast and Peanut Butter and Apple Toast. Jellies and other condiments include the ubiquitous electric-purple grape, strawberry preserves, banana compote, orange marmalade, blueberry preserves, blackberry jam, guava, persimmon and pomegranate preserves. Not into sweet toppings for your toast? We have cream gravy, with or without the chipped beef. Our friends in Wales even sent us some rarebits for Toastfest. Las Abuelitas seized on that idea and are furiously whipping up pan tostada con queso! Not to be left out, our friends in Scotland sent over a very small batch of haggis that we will slice and fry up to put on some soda bread toast for an, um, real treat. The offerings are mind-boggling for this wonderful breakfast food that is awesome any time of the day! The Juice Bar today features a new one - The Green Goblin - Liquified (mostly) Spinach, Kale, Parsley, Cucumber, And Celery. Mmm! Start your day off the right way; munch out and go back to sleep. Of course, The Never Ending Urn of Coffee is full and ready to help you wash it all down. Texas coffee doesn't get much better. Enjoy Texas! You know you want to!®

Can we at the World Assembly please stop trying to repeal every resolution it passes? There should be a standard by which resolutions should be in force for at least a year before a repeal can be attempted.

No, there should be a standard by which only decently-written proposals get voted in at all. Our players seem to vote for any piece of crap, no matter how ignorantly phrased they may be. I'm entirely in favor of repealing those as quickly as possible.

Begins to stir the peasantry into the beginning phases of revolution; quietly dispensing torches, pitchforks, and wanted posters of his competition to the riled up citizens of Texas.
"F799 for SecDef" came the chants as they grew louder and louder with the ever growing mob of angry dissidents marching down the streets setting fire to any wayward hay bales that got in their way

***** State of The Region Address *****

December 3, 2017

Greetings Citizens of Texas!

It is our great pleasure to announce that the nomination process is over for the Third Trimester 2017 Texas Elections. The following is the slate for the new Government of Texas. This week will be a time for candidates to campaign, debate and make speeches on the offsite forum. Next Sunday we will begin the elections. Join all the fun on the offsite forum at:

http://z1.invisionfree.com/Texas/index.php?showforum=271

Election Notes are in that forum as well.

We have yet another Election this go-around with some high-power Cabinet races going on in the Department of Defense and World Assembly Affairs. Both races have multiple candidates and in each, there are newcomers going against oldtimers. These should really be some good races! This Trimester, after marking the departure of Pharaoh Richard from the Texas Secretary of State position last Trimester, sees his replacement, Trecdom2 running unopposed. We chalk that up to his excellent transition. The Texas Ambassador Corps peeps are all over the board too being nominated for both Cabinet as well as TRC positions. These peeps have the get-up and go and we are quite proud of them. Yet again, the general populace shows it confidence, so far anyway, in the incumbent Lieutenant Governor. He is doing his job well and we have no problem with his running unopposed. As usual, all races will have the ever-pesky and dreaded No Confidence to run against. These are tough jobs; they are not for everyone and definitely require some actual work; just ask any of them.

The Texas Representative Council Election is an incumbent-heavy race again this time. It is interesting to note that the two new vocal Texan newcomers last race - Issues Test Bed and Shemiki - both won their races. Now, can they hold their positions against the latest vocal newcomers? It has also been proposed to bring back Empress Palpatine after some time off for a couple fo Trimesters. You know what all that means? Yes, there will be a couple of losers since there are 9 nations going for 5 positions. But, no one is ever a loser who has taken part in Texas Government and the election process. We like to think that all the incumbents are a tribute to the job that they are doing and have done in the past representing The Great Region of Texas! Kudos nominees! In these 53rd Texas Elections, as in every election, a well-made speech or no-speech may decide the final 5. That is a serious tip for would-be TRC members. * wink * Texas, please join us in saluting all our nominees for Texas Government!
