It was my first time going there. Tons of fun. Also planning on going to the NY Renaissance Faire when it opens late this summer.

Renfaire is loads of fun! :D And lots of delicious food... just, be prepared, because it can readily hurt your wallet!

And if your not careful, it will also ruin your diet, your liver and your teeth (don't eat and drink too much mate).

Wellllll, one day of splurging isn't gonna completely wreck yer diet.... Mmm, mead. =9

I drink so much already that a day of drinking there won't make a difference..

Oh man, while I was on my road trip last week, we stopped at a local little "support the bees!" type dealie. There was a local brewery that specializes in mead there, and let's just say the pours on their $5 tasting flight were rather generous. 4 samples on an empty stomach (hadn't had lunch yet) had me pretty pleasantly buzzed. And it was sooooo goooood. Ended up taking a bottle of the spiced clover one home with me. =9

EEP! was there bees there to?

I usually pick the deal to try 3 different meads/wines and drink like 6 beers while I'm there..

Well, with all the flowers around, I'm sure there were some bees, but mostly it was all flowers and honey (and fermented honey =9) type stuff.

I need to get me some more of this! https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/c/c9/Barenjager_sRGB_1.jpg

Hard to find in the Summer though..

Oooooo!

That stuff is delicious. mixing some of that and a little lemon juice in beer is good.

I've been wanting to make mead for a few years now but haven't gotten to it. Saw a recipe for Joe's Ancient Orange Mead which is supposedly good for beginners. Sounds delicious too :9

Oh that reminds me.. I know someone in Yggdrasil that was making wine.. need to ask how that went..

Egad! An embassy request that followed the instructions! Poll will be up shortly!

Am I sposto vote on these?

That's generally why I post a poll to the region when we get one, yes :P

oh the WFB thingy there is colorful!

Hey, maybe you can answer this one, Vandoosa- Is there like a subset of the R/D crowd that specifically watches for regions with founders likely to get nuked for rulebreaking? Because I saw a dude get puppetswept this afternoon, leaving his region without a founder (and no ROs to even try to hold the border), and I saw the place got raided tonight. Is that, like, a thing?

It has become one yes! Mostly because defenders won't stop us.. so easy targets.. I know the one you are talking about too.. was not just us after it but The Red Fleet as well.

Huh. Well, makes sense I suppose. Hard to drum up the enthusiasm to defend rulebreakers in comparison to innocent users. Granted, innocent, rule-abiding players also get screwed when their founder is a dick and gets nuked, but really, that's on the founder's head for screwing up enough to earn a DEAT in the first place.

Raiders are also more on the lawful evil side since we all got slapped silly last year.. Also most of the rule breaking regions we've been attacking happen to be memers and Trump supporters that like to be racist and harass others.

You mod folks should like.. ban everyone under the age of 21.. that would reduce the stupidity level nicely!

Sadly, some of our most obnoxious rulebreakers over NS history are all over 21 :P There's at least one that last I heard was like, in his 80s, and plenty of others in the 30-40 range. A more effective deterrent would be requiring users pay to create a nation, because then 1) trolls can get their jollies plenty of other places without spending a dime and would look elsewhere, and 2) payment = credit cards = ohai identifying information = way, way easier for online antics to bite them on the ass IRL.

But of course, there is no way in hell we'll ever make the site required pay-to-play, so .... :P

..I have like 246 nations.. that would be a lot of money..

An 80 year old on NS? whoa.. I thought I was old (32) but I've bet a few in their 50's here.

*sobs* Vandy shoved me into the sun, but I made it back, just now tanned obsidian.

I knew a player that was in his mid 70s, he's probably near 80 now.
