They're getting rather bold.

*rings the border control bell*

I say we open the door to all nations from Lily. Those poor souls must be struggling. They might just be passing by, or need a place to rest after all their hard work.

Welcome to beautiful South Pacific, Augusta renata! Here's your complimentary lifejacket for when everything inevitably goes overboard!

I should also warn you to please not wander off of the marked trails, there is a very high population of marsupials hiding in the brush of the region, and if we lose another person because they "didn't know that some marsupials are carnivorous, ohCh, OH PLEASE, IT BIT ME, O LORD, AHH, THERE'S ANOTHER, TUMS, HELP ME, ahhh *sound of blood gurgling from up the throat*" then I will not be happy. Panther put me in charge of filling out the incident forms and it is a lot of paperwork to fill out.

South Pacific is not responsible for any deaths caused by marsupials, and by continuing past this point you take all responsibility for yourself.

Welcome to South Pacific Augusta renata I look forward to your time here. Also Augusta renata please pick a marsupial *rolls barrel of marsupials and prying it open with a crowbar showing a bunch of marsupials* so pick your marsupial.

Wait The unified missourtama states there are man eating marsupials here * shakes in fear and then hears “ohCh, OH PLEASE, IT BIT ME, O LORD, AHH, THERE'S ANOTHER, TUMS, HELP ME, ahhh *sound of blood gurgling from up the throat*” * runs away in fear then hears rustling in the bushes and then feels a bite then two then four then sees man eating marsupials coming out of the bushes and trees *

I agree with Norg. I think we should welcome them with open arms, and become a sanctuary region for raiders everywhere. This is the way.

It is true. It has been almost a year since my incompetence as a delegate resulted in a massive raid on the region.

The unified missourtama states wrote:
The natives were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of raiders from Lily danced in their heads,
And Panther in 'kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled down for a long comfy nap,
When out on the beach there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the sand below
Gave the look of mid-day to the objects aglow,
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But an obvious coup, led by an opposition cavalier.

A mighty fine lyric. I will make a note to display it again once the appropriate non-denominational winter holiday rolls around, again.

Wow, I didn't know there was a movie made with such immediacy to the actual event. That's crazy, going to have to track this one down. This quote from a critic on the the wikipedia page is a remarkable one:

"a kind of cinematic Guernica"

Powerful language.

This is why the region so needs the services of your Ministry of Natural Resources. To organize teams of Southern Rangers to fan out through the bush and mark and maintain the network of protected trails, as well as monitor the great marsupial herds for signs of deviant behavior.

Which reminds me, I began work on a contribution to your department last month, but forgot to continue work on it:

Original company emblem

The South Pacific Company of Phosphorous Merchants is a joint stock company, granted a charter by the regional government, under the purview of the Ministry of Natural Resources, and in conjunction with the Department for International Trade and Commerce.

Begun for the purpose of supporting South Pacific agriculture through the production of fertilizer made from guano, the harvesting of phosphorous and nitrogen from which would replenish nutrients in depleted soil.

Seabird guano, especially that produced by cormorants, boobies, pelicans, and penguins throughout the islands of the Pacific, have a remarkably high nitrogen content that promotes plant growth. Beginning in the early 19th century, it was commercially mined, transported, and sold abroad.

The burned house horizon is an area of Europe where, from 7000 BCE to 2000 BCE, people often deliberately burned their own houses, without any discernible reason.

I love historical mysteries like this. And this area, the northern Black Sea region, is quite an understudied place, even in far-more recent ages.

I think the obvious answer to this mystery is dragons. A plague of dragon migration that swept across southeastern Europe every 75 years, burning everything in its wake.

Methinks that was before Rodan migrated to the far east.

Crazy stuff. The 'works of the old men' is interesting stuff so are the Nazca lines. I also like modern mysteries like Hinterkaifeck, Somerton Man and the untimely deaths of Blair Adams and Jonathan Luna, lots of creepy stuff in both ancient and modern times.

So where is Jimmy Hoffa's body buried? What is the meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything?

Do we have any moderators in this region? Or any snowflakes who may melt if I post one of my more, shall we say, sophisticated literary gems?

Not since the short, but glorious, reign of regional moderators.
