World Factbook Entry

Save Our Planet is intended to promote discussion concerning problems and solutions that affect our Earth. The Regional Message Board will be open to all residents of embassy regions. All Embassy Invitations will be accepted, but to ensue that the embassy region truly desires to discuss environmental issues, or the future of our planet, this region will not actively solicit embassies by sending out embassy requests, except for the regions that are obviously ecologically friendly. Neither will this region actively recruit, since it is expected that the truly serious individuals will find their way here.

Join our region if you love the Earth, and want to Save Our Planet!

Mangroves
Despite their key role providing coastal protection, supporting local livelihoods and storing huge amounts of carbon, mangroves are disappearing, destroyed for coastal development. Globally, the area of mangroves decreased by over a million hectares (3,860 sq miles) between 1990 and 2020 Ė an area larger than the island of Puerto Rico. The economic fallout, including the loss of fisheries, has been calculated as greater than $40bn (£30bn) a year.

These forests of the sea are among the world's most at-risk ecological systems and are being razed four times faster than terrestrial forests.

Happy Easter to all of Godís creatures.

The only true way to save Earth is to destroy Capitalism in its entirety.

Even under Socialism or Communism the human population will continue to grow. The human race is too large. Nature may offer some relief via natural disasters, or pandemics, but excluding nuclear wars, mandatory birth control will eventually be required regardless of the economic system.

Pure neo-malthusianist trash. The human population will eventually stagnate and stop increasing dramatically, and if things are planned correctly Earth can actually sustain a population of 10-11 billion humans. It's just that capitalism so inefficentialy manages resources that things have gone the way they did.

I recommend reading Murray Bookchin.

So your saying that innocent people's lives have to die in order to relief the planet? Do you know how much people have to die because of that?

Everyone eventually dies. All I am saying is too many people spoil the environment before they die. Letís try to keep that number down, okay?

Dude. This notion will be killing innocent people, who barely do anything to the enviroment, have to die early, just so the enviroment can be secured? Surely we can do better than that.

Question: Do you want to die?

Oilanzandia wrote:Question: Do you want to die?

I still have work to do to try and save Earthís flora and fauna, but when I die I hope it is in a spot where my decaying body nourishes the living things in our environment.
