Two requests for upcoming roleplays:

Does anyone have a suitably prestigious university, from which a prominent Azurean professor could be said to have graduated?

Does anyone have an egotistical, quasi-Machiavellian quote from one of their leaders I could use as a scene-setter? The more despotic the leader and the more heavy-handed the quote, the better.

Thanks in advance.

Can take your pick from Trojstva College, Kavka University or if medical related Dorotea Fazlic for the first request. Happy to provide more information as needed. The second part sounds like something a Sargossan or Astograthian leader might do, so they could be helpful in that. I could come up with something from Natella Kalinina but she's rotting in a Euran jail for being a genocidal maniac so I'm not sure she'd be coming out with too many soundbites (unless something from when she was running Mytanija is what you want...).

Mytanija wrote:unless something from when she was running Mytanija is what you want.

That actually sounds perfect; a grandiose quote from a dethroned leader. Lots of potential for dramatic irony. If you've got anything.

Porphyrogene University is the best academic school in Oberour Ar Moro, Cyrenense University is the oldest school that's developed many of the country's business and religious leaders. There are other schools with particular expertise as well, like how Bécherel University is known for its work in physics, and Saint Isidore University focuses on the liberal arts.

Despotic and heavy-handed could describe any number of Oberour leaders. But do you have a specific topic in mind about the quote?

The University of Torreón is the most prestigious university in Sargossa. It’s also the oldest, which probably makes it one of the oldest in all of Rushmore.

The quote on my nation page is attributed to my current president and has been shamefully stolen from one supposedly uttered by nutty Roman Emperor Caligula. That being said, knowing both the character of Kalinina and Myt’s ability as a wordsmith I would suggest that you already have an excellent option in regards to your second request.

So just wanted to ask to as to when we plan to have the host bid deadline for the CR?

Ladies and gentlemen, voting for the hosts of the next CR is now open: viewtopic.php?p=38777466#p38777466

CRJ thread is up and I am receiving signups/hosts via TG or Discord DM: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=506888

Hello friends,

The Copa Rushmori 38 everything thread is up and running (viewtopic.php?f=7&t=507071), so feel free to start posting rosters and opening RPs. I have set a provisional start date of the 10th July, this will be confirmed in the next couple of days but is unlikely to move. The group draw will happen on the 7th. I'm hoping that the few days between the 5th (IFCF submission deadline) and the 10th should give people plenty of time to turn their attentions to our wee regional pot. IC information will be in the couple of posts following the OP in the coming days.

I'll try and send some TGs around to anyone who hasn't posted a roster nearer to the start of the tournament, but for now happy posting!

Sargossa, Valladares, Eura, Qusmo, and 2 othersAstidt, and San ortelio

Hello to all of you, fellow nations.

I just wanted to introduce my little nation of Maramaa, newly arrived to the community. The soonest I can I will be posting about the domestic sport competitions and trying to participate in the great international tournaments 8))

Cheers!

Thank you

A reminder that my TGs/DMs are open for receiving signups and interested hosts regarding the CRJ Sub-20 and Sub-17, probably until this weekend: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=506888

Up to 17 signups and 1 potential host. You are also allowed to submit one (1) puppet.

The group draw has been completed and is now in the OP of the everything thread (viewtopic.php?p=38789997#p38789997), I will be adding stadiums along with the fixtures tomorrow. The opening matchday is a little under three days from now on the 10th July with cut-off coming between 21:00-22:00 BST. I will send reminder TGs around to those who haven't posted a roster 24 hours before the first scorination, do try to get a roster posted as it is beneficial for opponents when it comes to their own role-plays.

Many thanks!

Hi. I want to introduce my nation to you guys.

I have some experience in NationStates and NS Sports, however, my former nation is lost in time. I mostly did stuff casually and didn't put much thought on making a complete sports RP. But, after months of thinking about it, I think it's the best way I can maintain this nation active and actually roleplay with other nations.

So, yeah, I'll start working on my small domestic league as soon as I get my National Team sorted out. It seems like I missed the Copa Rushmori, so that gives me time to put thought into my NT. Thanks!

Welcome to, uh, well, us!

So I am currently generating some additional clubs to set up a regionalized (as in broken down to provincial level within Tikariot, maybe two provinces together, resulting in very little travel) sixth tier to my football pyramid and wanted to invite people to submit some diaspora clubs, if you'd be interested. Just let me know a possible name that would be consistent with what your particular nation would work with and also if you have any particular cities or kinds of city in mind. Thanks! :)

So far I have:
Fort Viljan Southern Wolves FC (Graintfjall) (5th tier, they've been around for a while)

upcoming sixth tier:
Port Rhovanyon: Port Rhovanyon Tricolour (Quebec)
Alcassar:
> Mytanska Alcassar (Mytanija)
> C'hoari-Bouloù Club (Oberour Ar Moro)
Port Tacassam: Pomorac Port Tacassam (Mytanija)
Carathyr:
> Cazadores Carathyr (Audioslavia)
> Avanti Carathyr (San Ortelio)
> Carathyr Calcio (San Ortelio)
> Emerald Coast Greens (Darmen)
> Villa Carathyr (Cabo Azure)
Pharaeo: KFT Krasjadem (Qusmo)
Tovaca: Sportivo Tovaca (Sargossa)
Bul Khungur: FC Schrozen (Bollonich)
Doganval: AC Narciso (Bollonich)
Tikariot City:
> Consacres (Oberour Ar Moro)
> Kozh Gward Tikariot City (Gouvanarch)

The benefit of being a USMNT fan is I've lived through every permutation of the U17 wunderkind storyline. Whether my U17s grow up to be Christian Pulisic or Freddy Adu is up to Margaret.

Oberour Ar Moro are honored to have had the opportunity to host the return of the Campeonato Rushmori Juvenil Sub-20.

Results for the tournament can be found here: viewtopic.php?p=38828734#p38828734

I wish to deeply apologize. I made some errors in the scorination for CRJ sub-20, and had to make some substantial changes. viewtopic.php?p=38828734#p38828734

I think it's important for a nation to establish some kind of footballing DNA. That's why we instill an inability to beat Nephara at a young age.

Astograth, Eastfield Lodge, Oberour Ar Moro, Nethertopia, and 8 othersNephara, Yue Zhou, Qusmo, Mytanija, Falkyr, Graintfjall, South jeolerina, and Bollonich

Or, you know, you can give up, not enter for about a real life decade and sometimes turn up to grumble about the good ol' early 50's WC cycles.

Ancharmunn, Sargossa, Delawaria, Qusmo, and 1 otherFalkyr

Come back, so you can grumble about the horrible early 90's cycles on top of it!

For those participating in both the CRJ and the DBC, where do you place them relative to each other in the calendar?
