Riveti might get involved. Boy do we love war
The Northern Cresent and Arcticone
That, comrade, is the magic of International Relations!
I promise that our nation's troops will be grumpy through most of the fight should it come to that.
Speaking of which...
In response to recent calls for peace between the Coalition, Usniya, and the Imperium, Prime Administrator Kastlotskv has called together a Party Commission to draft a potential set of terms for the normalization of relations with the Imperium.
Crystal House, Nebula City
*An important discussion is taking place*
"If they won't listen to words, then they'll listen to their own aggression!" said the Defense Minister."We've tried, twice, and do they listen? No."
"For once I agree." replied Leppa, leader of the Northern Cresent. "I mean, we dont have the best jets for nothing."
"But how shall we do this all? It'll take ages to collect and mobilise our full power!" said another.
"Which one: be defenceless against a powerful natio, or getting ready to battle?"
And so it was agreed.
The headlines across the Federal Republic screamed at the outbreak of hostilities between The Blue Kingdom of the Northern Cresent and The Republic Of ArcticOne. "Fighting Breaks Out" and "Aggression and Assassination-The Fire of War." "Bloodshed in the Sky-War On the Horizon"
Chancellor Haliwell addressed the reporters in the Northern Conference Room of the Republic House. "While it is unfortunate peaceful overtures and conferences have failed to bring the two sides together, our government will not be drawn into this "politics by another means" and shall remain neutral. Nevertheless, I will work with the members of the Bundestag to beef up our refugee program and our police budget to accept refugees from these nations and provide food, shelter, and security during their stay here. We encourage representatives of both the Blue Kingdom and the ArcticOne to refrain from targeting civilian housing and civilian services, to refrain from indiscriminate destruction, and to ensure that noncombatants are cared for and not impacted by the war, as much as is practical."
On the street, you could hear Dalcians grumbling at the turn of events, with the general consensus that war is a failure of democratic institutions. They then went back to work in the trades and in the offices, and a lone policeman on the block guided traffic, like nothing had changed.
Hello. Its TP. Ive been putting off writing this for a few days because I know that it'd be difficult to put into words. First off, lets address the elephant in the room. Im not nor will I most likely ever come back to NS, as least as an active player. I've been gone long enough to not recognize most of the people on this RMB page, so I guess that says enough. But when I first came to NS, I was a very different person. Even though its in the digital world, this game has helped shape my views and my identity as a person. I live a boring, regular, suburban life. But on NS I could talk about politics with other people who cared about politics, I could RP as the leader of an entire country that reflected my interests and beliefs. And the people are what it made it really worth coming back to. When I first joined NS, I had just moved schools under unpleasant circumstances, I really didnt have many friends IRL. But in NS I could find people who became close friends to me, and that I enjoyed spending time with much more than IRL. I looked forward to getting home, finishing homework, and then logging on NS to talk to people or RP or even participate in the RIASF. Yall were like family. However, all good things come to an end. As I became closer to the people in my life in the realm world, I became more distant from the people in NS. I was active for, what was it? Around two years? There were small interludes of inactivity, but never long periods of time. But then I went silent. I felt like I needed to quit cold turkey, and when I think about it, I wasnt wrong. I spent hours upon hours on here, procrastinated on assignments, etc. Some people on here have definitely had an influence on who I am and have given me some great memories. In particular, Kz, Jute, Pen Island, Georgiaa, SU, Tari (Ya lib), Shizzle, Maia, LMI, Larthy (Even ol larthy), and many others. TG me for contact info if you want to keep in touch.
TL:DR- Thanks to everyone for the memories.
Ill check back in periodically for the next few days, but the Im out. At least for now.
Very sorry for missing your wedding Kz, even worse to not tell you beforehand. But I decided to quit cold turkey and I pushed it out of my mind.
And the Imperium is considering backing the solo nations in the event coalition gangs up on them.
Wish you would stick around, but I'll definitely need that contact info.
It's always great to hear people leaving NS for all the right reasons.
Glad things are going well for you. Maybe before you go you can convince the roleplayers how awesome it is to kick raider butt with the RIASF. They don't listen to me or Red ;)
But really, glad to hear things are going well. NS isn't the kind of place you wind down on, quitting cold turkey is probably the only way to really do it. Good luck out there and thanks for the update. :D
Aww, goodbye TP.
The land of madness and insanity and The Northern Cresent
War's bad for business
Attacking monarchies is bad for politics
The land of madness and insanity and The Northern Cresent
I hope everything goes good for you.
And just remember your password.
Also, we have TWO proposals up for vote at the Citizens' Congress!
Amendment to the Citizens' Congress Procedure
Assembly of Renegade Creation Act (The RP Council)
It doesn't quite go that far, we're simply defining the line at which we would find it acceptable.
I don't want such a thing to happen either, which is why I am working to see if ArcticOne and TNC can reach a peaceful settlement.
Uh... one of my lines is that only I get lines, so...
