Greetings all,
After more than a year of consideration, I have reached the conclusion that it would be a notable benefit in regional continuity, as well as my general health, for me to step down as Arch-Administrator of Refugia. I am pleased with the work that I have been able to accomplish over the last five and a half years, and the sites and services I was able to create. I am delighted to see Refugia grow from a twinkle in my eye to a full and independent region with its own unique culture and motivations. In this bright new era, I will continue to assist when I can on NationStates in my capacity as site staff.
I appoint the new Arch-Admin to be 
A Million Dreams (also known as Aav), respected two-year Moderator of Calamity Refuge -- honourable, all-around capable human being, and good friend. She has my every confidence and will have my every support in what she requires as a part of this transition and I would, therefore, like her to have your confidence and support as well.

Good morning Refugia,
I’m grateful to Luca for the kind words on my succession as Arch-Administrator of Refugia. I’ve always looked up to their work here, and am excited and honored to be able to continue to carry it on. I will openly state that there will be changes in how things are run, as we are different people, but that generally you can expect Refugia to continue to be an island in the eye of the storm.
I look forward to elections for the regional council, as the candidacy declaration period begins today. Interested candidates have until 19 May to declare their candidacy by mentioning me on the regional message board in their declaration.
