I'm also in the UK haha. The only "memes" I've ever seen about fearing Birmingham have been racist though which is why I'm confused.

Why don't you like the author?

Things I know about Birmingham:

  • People who live there are called "Brummies" for some reason. Presumably to do with the accent.

  • "Peaky Blinders" was set there. Therefore, I assume Brummies all look like Cillian Murphy wearing a newsboy cap.

  • Tolkien grew up in and around the city. Therefore, I assume the city is full of magic.

that ought to be correct

It’s associated with the accent and how Birmingham can’t decide whether they’re northern or southern lol.

Regardless, most casual jokes about Brummies, just like any other locality like Scousers, Smoggies, geordies etc, are done out of jest for county allegiances.

Although, the origins of regional nicknames came from defining a culture or trade associated with the people living there such as Mackems which means ‘make-em’ from the proud shipbuilding heritage of the River Wear.

I have sadly never been to the UK, but I really want to go one day.

Guys I changed my flag. I like this one much better

I would follow you on this but I need out of England asap so I can finally endorse you!

I wonder if I should get a flipgrid account

Hey maybe the guy in the massive pickup truck trying to cut you off shouldn't win the poll.

Please reconsider whether you want your life to be dictated by the chaos of randomness and patterns or by the strength of your own convictions. Choose the right, choose the good, choose the activity that millions of people around the world enjoy doing on their free times every single second of every minute of every day - writing fanfiction.

Our lives are already dictated by chaotic randomness and patterns. Also, I think chaotic randomness is (sometimes) a perfect way to describe me.

When God asks to see the best of our creations, will we show Him the Ford F-250? One of the primary vehicles responsible for furthering the world's path to destruction? Or will we offer Him a 77,708-word-Zutara fanfic written over the course of a year on AO3?

Good news! Ford® has a new Ford® F-150® Lightning® Truck available now! So now even the most aggressive of drivers can run you off the road knowing they're being eco friendly! And if you're driving any old gas car, that's a net positive!

AO3 is one of, if not the biggest completely free, completely ad-free websites. It is a website of the people, for the people, arguing for the freedom of speech and the freedom to be able to make those two characters that were definitely more than friends the whole way through the show and you know it finally kiss. They go up against big organisations and governments to say "people have rights, even if they want to write objectively incorrect Iron Man x Captain America fics".

The Ford F-250 represents everything wrong with the world. Pollution, which is now legally a cause of death in the UK, car-centric design leading to the decline of community, whatever it is that makes people put the size of their truck ahead of the safety of the people around them, since bigger cars are deadlier even at lower speeds.

Vote for freedom, community, and the gays: vote fanfiction.
