Has anyone been doing something special for Father’s Day? I’m heading out in a kayaking trip for a few hours this afternoon.

I went sailing with my dad, that was fun.

Just a nice barbecue, and walked to the shipyard to see a beautiful schooner being repaired there.

Citizens of Ravana

Ravana has been a buzz lately, and I can't blame anyone if they're having trouble keeping up with the whirl of events and progress occurring in our region. Over the course of this month our population has exploded from just under 40 members to over 120. This skyrocketing population has enabled us to establish a new regional role play set in the medieval times. If you are interested in participating, simply introduce your nation on the RMB and provide any dispatches that give us further insight into your nations background. Yaqobia and Glacio revera are working hard to set up parameters for the roleplay.

As our population has grown, so have our network of alliances. Prime Minister [nation]
Victoria Pond[/nation] and our Minister of Foreign Affairs Marevis have helped forge fresh alliances with foreign powers. As Ravana grows into it's role as a geopolitical super power we have run into foes who would oppose our assent as well. We continue to be at war with the nation of Lasagna, and I am proud to report our unchallenged military dominance. The Royal Forces of Ravana have ejected over 40 nations attempting to attack our new proxy region Lasagna Part Two and even our homeland Ravana. Our armed forces has successfully secured and occupied Lasagna part two since the onset of the war by defeating two separate invasion attempts by Lasagna and their allies. Lasagna Part Two now has more WA nations than Lasagna itself, a major feat. Throughout the war, Ravana has kept its boarders open and has welcomed new nations while Lasagna put up walls and has slowly lost men from attrition.

As our Military occupies foreign lands and our roleplay build up national culture, our government will begin to take on a new role as well. I ask all citizens, what do you want your government to look like? If you are interested in serving on a committee to develop reforms, shoot me a telegram or announce so here on the RMB. The government of Ravana is meant to be dynamic and meritocratic for all citizens of Ravana. As our population grows, so too does our capacity to make our government ever more dynamic. If you have been waiting for your time to enter politics, or are new and wish to get involved, there has never been a better time! Take our oath of citizenship, join the discord, and begin your adventure in Ravana

I would love to help serve on a committee to develop further dynamics in our constitution to accommodate our rising population! It's good to see Ravana developing in several directions, I believe this diversification will allow everyone to find their niche while still being a part of our larger community.

Special thank you to our brave armed forces still occupying Lasagna Part Two, your sacrifices secure our freedoms!

The last lasagnan agent has been removed from Lasagna Part Two! Permanent and Definitive victory is imminent. Hail Ravana.

A lot of things.

Also Hello Farlandiay

Hey Rundown, how have things been going for you?

Rundown wrote:What the Frick happened? I left for one month and everything imploded!

Sometimes months go by where nothing happens, and other-times a months worth of change happens in a single day.

Things are good, surviving each day with the Rona

ATTENTION LOYAL RAVANIANS

The RMBG has seen massive successes in the last few weeks. Our numbers are swelling and our victories bring much tribute to holy Ravana.

I have taken this time to reinvigorate the RMBG with all new ranks and policies built from our experience gained during the Lasagna War.

Marvel at our glory! Aspire to join our ranks!

The Crossed Lion – Battle Flag of the RMBG

LOAYLTY * SOLIDARITY * SAVAGERY

Mission Statement: To martial our tongues and the tools of war to defend our sacred region. To battle her enemies mercilessly on any field in any region. To protect her from domestic dissent and enemy agents in familiar forms. To motivate the citizenry and inspire them to action. To act while lesser people dither.

Total War requires total commitment. The RMBG is the only fighting force that cultivates a whole-warrior ethos that activates the soul both in uniform and out of it. Guardsmen (or women or just “Guards”) embody every letter of the words “Paramilitary police force.” They stand watch on the wall and in the back of the brain. They make no compromise and tolerate no disloyalty.

Code of Culture And Conduct:

Uniform Policy:
1. Puppet Nations Must Conform to Uniform regulations unless otherwise ordered for operational security.
2. Puppet flags must be set to the Crossed Lion
3. Puppet motto field must contain rank and name the RMBG (ex: “Guardsman First Class – RMBG”
Or “GFC – RMBG”)
4. Main nations off-duty may display either Flag or Motto field. At least one should follow Puppet Uniform Regulations at all times. Customized flags that feature The Crossed Lion with personalized features may be acceptable off-duty attire but only when approved by an officer of RMO rank or higher and are never acceptable on-duty.
5. Guards are required to honor rank and rank insignia when naming a fellow Guard. Patriotic and policing posts must include a signature that contains proper rank insignia.

Cultural Standards:
1. Good Soldiers Follow Orders (GSFO)
2. Obey the Mods, the NS Code of Conduct and all site rules (OMODS)
3. Be Guided by the Spirit of Regional Law (GSRL)
4. Your First Duty is to the Guards (FDG)
5. Your First Loyalty is to Ravana (FLR)
6. Inspire! Empower! Deliver! (IED)

Combat Duties:
1. Guards are expected to participate in operations within their capacity including invasions, defenses and liberations as ordered by the Royal Sovereign and the RMBG High Command.
2. Guards are expected – at the bare minimum – to be able to operate within a six-hour notice.
3. Officers are expected to operate within an hour barring extenuating circumstances.
4. Guards are required to be able to operate at least one puppet account within the WA.
5. Guards will be asked to move and endorse their fellow Guards during operations and must study the rules of war to operate efficiently and honorably.
Guides to NS Military Gameplay:
page=dispatch/id=754143
page=dispatch/id=1126780

Policing Duties:
1. Follow the NS code of conduct at all times.
viewtopic.php?p=16394966
2. Guards are expected to patrol regional infrastructure for seditious speech while both in uniform and out.
3. Guards are expected to respond to seditious speech with patriotic speech that follows #1.
4. Guards are encouraged to make notes and maintain lists of dissidents and malcontents.
5. Guards are required to report incidents of treasonous or rebellious speech – especially among their fellow Guards – to an officer of RMO rank or higher.
6. Guards are permitted to form private accounts to hunt down and infiltrate dissident or rebel cells within Ravanian infrastructure provided that they maintain a studious record of their activities and report this record to their commanding officers. Undercover Guards are still expected to answer to all their normal combat duties while undercover.
7. Guards may be ordered to participate in morale-boosting operations which could include Patriotism Blasting, public-works projects or community events when High Command deems them necessary.

Guidelines for Speech:
1. Seditious Speech may include but is not limited to: constant criticism of Ravana and her institutions. Attempts to foment opposition parties against loyal Ravanian government officials. Calls for negotiating with the enemy. Disrespectful speech aimed at Ravanian government officials or patriotic citizens. Cynical or depressing speech designed to sap the morale of loyal Ravanians especially during times of war or regional crisis. Manipulative arguments or emotional appeals designed to turn Ravanians against their own institutions.
2. Patriotic Speech may include but is not limited to: Poetry written to praise Ravana and her institutions. Speeches made to praise Ravana or her citizens. Good arguments in favor of Ravana and against criticisms of her. Declarations of loyalty to Ravana above all else.
3. Patriotic Speech IS NOT base or vile insults. Quippy jokes. Denunciations of foreign institutions or individuals (unless being used as a direct contrast to the glory of Ravanian institutions/individuals). Spam.
4. Guards are expected to respond to any posts which directly target their fellow guards so as to form a posting-shield wall around their fellows.
5. Guards are prohibited from spam-posting including lodging two successive posts.
6. Guards are prohibited from posting skimpy or brief posts. Patriotic Posts must contain at least one full paragraph (five sentences) or thirty-three words that have been artfully composed.

Becoming a member of the RMBG is simple but rising through the ranks is not. Anyone can don the uniform and begin policing their region or piling during our public operations. Publicly declaring oneself to be a member of the Guard grants one the rank of "Subject" and entitles them to all the rights and responsibilities that come with being a member. Poor performance while in uniform may qualify one for demotion or excommunication from the Guard.

Subjects who prove their worth may be promoted by anyone of NCO rank or higher. In order to rise above the Enlisted ranks a prospective Guard must distinguish themselves through meritorious conduct which earns them a mention in an After-Action Report and may be promoted by anyone of the Officer Corps rank or higher.

Entry to the Officer Corps requires passing the Victory Point Entrance-Exam and receiving the approval of anyone of the Luftenant rank or higher. Officers must also have served in the RMBG in good standing for no less than two months and have been cited for meritorious conduct in three After-Action Reports.

Ascendance to the High Command is reserved for those who demonstrate extreme ability and dedication to the region and the RMBG. Admittance is by invitation only and requires passing two tests. First a prospective candidate must demonstrate their ability by earning either five citations for meritorious conduct OR plan, lead and execute an operation of significant importance (To be determined by High Command). Prospective candidates must also participate in the Midnight Communion.
