Today we gather to celebrate our glorious region of Pax Britannia. Here is today’s schedule:
11:00 (EST) - We will play an online games of Cards Against Humanity, hosted by 
Commonwealth States of Britania, who will instruct you all on how to join.
11:30 (EST) - We will all join a video streaming room where we can all sit back and watch YouTube videos in sync and together!
In between 12:30 and 1:00 (EST) - I encourage you all to write, in detail, about your experiences here in Pax. Tell us your story and how you’ve made a home for yourself here!
Tomorrow’s schedule will be much more loose. Nonetheless I am extremely excited, even though I may not be as present today as I had hoped originally. Again, I hope you all have the best of times.

Information has come about the perpetrator of these attacks, revealing who hired the mercenaries. The nation of Qing has hired these mercenaries. And now, I must say, as a great empire, we, the Imperial Monarchy of Corsicinot, as well as the State of Piedmont firmly condem the nation of Qing. Piedmont will have regular patrols by the Geheimpolizei, and may it be known that Piedmont, being as close as she is to Corsicinot, if attacked will be considered an attack on the Imperial Monarchy, and all that entails. We will not stand for this extreme show of unnecessary force upon the great people of Piedmont. Thank you, that is all."

Saturday’s Last Event
After the great success of our first activities, I would like to announce today’s final event in which we all will participate. I would like to request of you all something simple: Tell us your story!
Here, on the RMB, share with us all about your fondest experiences here in Pax. Tell us about how you found Pax, how the region has impacted your NS Experience, and how you’ve enjoyed your time spent here!
After this, I will conclude our first (of two) days of festivities with a special ceremony of recognition for those who have propelled our community the farthest!

Well, I guess it makes the most sense for me to go first, or close to first
I came to the predecessor region, BI, as a war refugee. My region was in constant war with our rivals, from large scale raids, black ops, spy craft, you name it and we were engaged in it. The ordeal was taxing to say the least, since i was the spymaster for my region. Eventually the endless cycle of banjections, raids, and reprisals wore on me and I started looking for an out. That out came when I got a random telegram from Madam Essein asking me to try the BI, that it was a vibrant region full of like minded people and Id make a great addition. Needless to say I took her up on this offer, and joined up when the region was about 200 nations strong. I got to watch it grow to five hundred, I helped orginize our first RP in building a death star, our first war, and even our first Z day.
Unfortunately, the ruling class of that region didnt see it the same way we, the users of said region, did and several disagreements lead to base and I organizing the revolution. Then we came here and started anew! Going strong on our timeline reset, and still kicking. We've lost many people on our trip to where we are now, Trin, Belle, B&B, Desre, and Danz to name a few. But we've also gained so many new and talented people, each of whom bring their own energy and enthusiasm to our region. People like Corsicinot, Malthe, and Breen. I know Im not exactly the easiest to get along with, nor am I very able in many regards, but I can say with all the honesty and truth in my heart that I wouldnt give the last seven years with all of you for anything. Even when yall nearly made me rip my own hair out, I can proudly say, Im glad we all came together.
I dont know what the future holds for us all, but there are surely great things to come, its only 1930 after all! Happy Britannia day everyone!

Before Pax Britannia, I was in several regions as several nations, but none felt right. They all said they were rp based, but in reality we’re just election simulations. I got bored fast, and the other people weren’t as into it or nearly as close as PB. I left after my political party had internal turmoil, and I simply looked for a historical region. I looked and looked until I found one with a kick ass flag, and that was Pax Britannia. I knew it was a region right for me, as I got right in, knew what was going on, and was instantly accepted. Also, it was during the Great War, my area of expertise, so I knew I’d live this region, and I have. I love PB so much and am so happy I found it. Thank you all for a wonderful time.
I suppose I should go next. My story isn’t as extravagant as some others but hey a sub par story is better than none at all.
About three and a half years ago, I founded Arrstotzka. The name itself, as many catch onto, is a reference to the beeil dictatorship from the game Papers Please. And that’s exactly what I tried to emulate. I wished that no matter where I went, I could play the role of an evil rogue nation always stirring up a mess in the world of international politics.
After skipping around various regions and failing to find any suitable ones that provided good RP, I was about ready to give up on Nationstates entirely...
That is, until I found Pax Britannia after showering through multiple embassy pages. I didn’t think much of it, but eventually I cAme to realize that I had found a region that provided a vibrant and active Roleplay. Making my home here, one of my first memories is that of the brutal Requiem War in which the Imperium was toppled, with me being its last surviving member.
About a year later I ended up taking a sort of hibernation. When I returned I was surprised to see how y’all had reset the RP timeline, and once again, I at first didn’t think much of it. “I’m not here to join the RP,” I recall saying upon my return. But lo and behold, look where I am now! I’m having the best RP experience here that I ever have in my time on NS!
Words truly cannot express how much you all have impacted my NS Experience. I wouldn’t give up this region for all the gold in the world, cause Pax Britannia is the best damn region out there.

Maplestan was founded on the 20th December 2012. It was the first day of my Christmas holiday, and I suddenly found myself with a computer and plenty of spare time. At that time, my main hobby (except for reading sci-fi books) was drawing maps of imaginary lands, and I thought: maybe online I might find a better way to create my dream country. I googled “country simulator” and found NationStates. Then, I found home.
I received a telegram from a certain HMS Recruitment. What’s this then? A region called British Isles? Sounds cool, I visited Britain in the summer with my aunt’s family and liked the place a lot. I found myself enjoying British Isles in NationStates as well, and became interested in RP:ing, ending up doing it in three other regions at the same time. During that time, I was also the cartographer for British Isles, which was the only official position I've ever held in NS, and I was really proud of it. However, as some of you may recall, British Isles was a region heavily divided between the RMB community and the Forum community. I tried to juggle between the two, but around me, the tensions kept growing. When the RMB community left and founded their own region, I had no choice but to follow. With a heavy heart, I moved to Pax Britannia. And here I have been for four years now.
It has been wonderful to see how the region has developed over the years. People come and go, but the adventure goes on and the core principles remain: being respectful and helpful to other members of the community and being consistent in writing. They have made me stay a part of this community for almost seven years now. Over the years, I became less active, but I still enjoy RP:ing and NS in general and it’s going to be a while before I stop completely. Although I sometimes still miss British Isles, which is now dead, Pax Britannia has become my home in NationStates, and I’m quite happy about it. I thank everyone who has contributed to this wonderful experience, here’s to the next four years! Cheers!

Malta. It's claimed, but by a nation thats ceased to exist so i'm not sure about the rules around things like this.
Oh god, 4 ish years since I been on Nationstates, since 2015. I floated around regions sure but been mostly quiet and it wasn't until the British Isles I felt at home I still remember the joy of being put on the first-ever map which was just the British Isles. my first Roleplay experience too, I learnt so much since then. met some good people too had a blast, I joined during like the Summer and then two months later joined Pax after it's a revolution. since then I RPed on Neptune, RPed as apart of the largest and powerful faction of the old RP and saw it's reform (as much to the dismay of Fan) I RPed a deep lore during the reset, I was the regent of this fine region once, may not have been the best though. Also this region and the amazing people in it got me hooked on Discord as I was one of the first people to use it, before it died for awhile and now I am in a tone of servers and met more amazing people that way so thank y'all for that!!!!!!!!!! Well, we have a rule to where if a nation CTEs but have an explanation and plan to eventually return, then we keep their map spot reserved, which is the case. However, what you could do, is roleplay a breakaway from another country. For example, you could declare independence from italy as Sicily and/or Sardinia, or you could break away from Germany in Venezia. If you want, I could also message Malta and ask him if you could have independence in a certain region too.

Well, whilst my story isn’t as long as some of the ancient ones of this region, it really does feel like a lifetime ago that I first popped up on the British Isles RMB five ish years ago. Back then I still hadn’t quite grasped the concept that the RP didn’t relate to issues, and remember a fair few silly times where I thought I had stuff simply because the issue said so (there’s this relic by Danz about me claiming a super weapon the moon:

Thankfully I arrived at the same time as BR and Belle (RIP) and remember how quickly we formed our little trio in those early days, eventually leading to the glorious UDF in the RP (screw you angiris and Fan for screwing us over so royally). Although the quality of my posts then truly was utterly terrible, it felt great to join such a welcoming community of people.
Like most of the mid-aged nations here, I abandoned the British Isles for Pax Britannia after all the disputes with the offsite forums. I had the privilege of serving as home sec for the first few months of this region, and am still mightily pleased that no ones tampered with the original WFE template I made. Otherwise I’ve popped in and out of the RP a fair few times, but have always felt the motivation to come back after any period of inactivity.
It’s been incredible to see us build up such an incredible story and world, and I look forward to the many years ahead with all of you chaps and whatever else we might do.
