Tırık?

My 83 y/o grandma calls Trump «Tırık». It's so amusing.

Comrades!
For this important day, I have prepared a translation of a commemorative piece, which can be viewed in its original language at this link:

Revolution. The revolution is here! Not the quiet, not the peaceful one that we live in, whose dull continuity is only occasionally interrupted by a flash of red blood or a judge's verdict. No, the revolution of fire, bullets, and dynamite is raging above! Blood, blood, and blood everywhere! The blood of thousands, of innocent children and self-sacrificing men!
Proletarians... you who suffer, you who are oppressed! Have hope... Have hope...

We quote Ady Endre :

"Great Russia is terribly shaken. The world watches Moscow with chattering teeth. This is a sky-breaking, earth-shaking event. This revolution is the convulsions of hell. It is shocking, despairingly dark, and terrifying. This revolution is made by the people. Isn't it clear that the people are no joke? Isn't it clear that the people know something that cannot be learned? This monstrous upheaval will be a pride of history. Its pride, its lesson, and its justification. Should we compare ourselves to Russia? A tasteless and unfair task. But we can still learn from the Russian example. Only the people can save a rotten, powerless society. The terrible, the invincible, the unstoppable people..."

Halloween in Finland is very marginal as far as holidays are concerned. I suppose we Finns are too serious-minded to dedicate a specific time of the year for gloom and doom. Where I come from it's melancholy all year round :P

Then why finland is the happiest country in the world?

In Hungary, we don’t celebrate Halloween. Personally, I find it frivolous, and I feel it doesn’t fit with either Christian or traditional Hungarian pagan beliefs. Instead, on november 2nd, we "celebrate" the Day of the Dead, when we remember our deceased relatives and heroes — sometimes simply by lighting a candle at home, but more often by visiting their cemetery.

True, we also have a dress-up celebration during the season of Farsang (Carnival), which marks the end of winter. This is a time when weddings are traditionally held, and the celebration aligns with other carnivals held in larger cities. Farsang also includes the famous Busójárás of Mohács, which, according to legend, originated when the residents of Mohács island dressed in frightening wooden masks painted with blood and covered in sheepskins. Using makeshift noise-makers, they crossed the Danube by boat under the cover of night, scaring off the Turkish occupants of Mohács, who fled in panic from the terrifying sight of these masked figures.

Comrades, brothers and sisters of the Revolution,

Today, we stand together, united in triumph, witnessing the first anniversary of our great region, the Odessa Accords. A year has passed since we tore ourselves free from the constraints of the liberal hypocrisies and bourgeois cowardice of The League. That so-called League, which cloaked itself in false promises of "freedom" and "progress", was nothing but a den of craven hypocrites and self-serving paper tyrants - paralyzed by decadence, suffocated by ignorance, and driven by intolerance. They tried to banish us. They tried to silence us. They tried to break us. But we are not so easily broken. Each attack from their sanctimonious agents has only served to temper our resolve and sharpen our purpose. Each whisper of condemnation has fanned the flames of our will. For every attempt to weaken us, we will only grow stronger. For every lie they spew to undermine our commitment, we will only march further and strike harder! They think they are our equals? They think they can frighten us? No, they are but hollow shadows of a world that has no place here, in the Odessa Accords.

Over the past year, our ranks and allies have not only grown rapidly but also strengthened significantly. Our comrades didn’t come to simply play the passive role; rather, they have been dedicated to embodying a value that is above any else: quality. In terms of their commitment, the strength of their will, and their dedication to our cause, our comrades and allies surpass even the veterans of this platform. Among all our comrades, one name stands out for his achievements: Markus Sarasti-Varis. His name alone sends a chill through those who lack a deeper understanding and think superficially. With his lengthy essays, he strikes fear into the very forces against which our region was founded, embodying our region’s commitment to mutual dialogue. Though only an ally, Markus is also a tireless warrior for our cause, representing the spirit and enthusiasm I wish to see in every comrade within our region.

So let it be known - to the counter-revolutionary fearmongers lurking in the shadows, and to all their servants who think we can be driven from our path - we are far from finished. This is only the beginning. We will hold strong. We will grow in strength, in unity, and in our conviction to the ideals that bind us together. So let the world watch, let them tremble, for the Odessa Accords is here to stay, and we will not rest until every chain is broken, until every worker is liberated, until our cause is victorious. We are the red dawn, we are the hammer and sword, we are the future of mankind!

Long live the Revolution! Long live the Odessa Accords!

Yes!

You can be against me for that, but I think dr(•w•)s are bad (in one day, my country's recreational drug use went from ≈130 to ≈40)
