A Red Faction shot and killed 1 star general Steffan Beckindorf in Oasis sector, the sniper escaped.
The next step in pushing the Red Faction from Venezuela district , in Oasis sector is the “island campaign” and the first step is attacking the aptly named Fortress Island, an island that has a massive series of fortifications including trenches, tank traps, mines, interlocking fire almost every from pillboxes, blockhouses, tunnel entrances, bunkers, sniper and machine gun nests and a massive castle serving as the command center, but miles of tunnels and cavities have been dug and the command structure can quickly and easily be moved underground. We must reduce the island’s ability to interfere with the coming campaign at worst, and completely wipe out the rebels at best.
The first strikes on Fortress Island have taken place sinking 7 Corvettes and around 130 small patrol vessels as well as striking several structures and defensive positions on the island.
991 rebels were killed by the strikes on the ships.
