-TELEGRAM FROM THE CENTRAL FOREGIN RELATIIONS COMMITTEE-

WRITTEN AND APPROVED BY CHIEF DIPLOMAT PRUSSIA WERDIN BY ORDER OF LORD PRESIDENT FIDE THOMAS RUSH

The Central Foreign Relations Committee and it's Chief Diplomat, Prussia Werdin, would like to ask for Empress Taihe of the Hightest Imperium of the Feng Dynasty to officially recognize the Federal Socialist Republic of Anderia as an independent nation for we are. Just because our former head of state, former Lord President Joseph Vargas excepted the non-aristocratic title of Vassal, does not mean that we gave up our independence as a sovereign nation.

You have in the past under the Vargas Administration referred to the Federal Socialist Republic of Anderia as a separate nation just under Fengese protection, such as the incident at Vander with Atlas and with the treaty at the end of the Anderian Fascist War. Yet, your national government does not recognize us as an independent state, which we all know is false.

We no longer have a vassal as Lord President, we have an entire different aspect of everything from the Feng homeland, you have referred to us as a separate nation. We are an independent nation.

As such, we would like to have a meeting with Empress Taihe to resolve this or just recognize us as independence. All will return to normal for us.

Hall Of Irene Partisan Detention Facility, January 2019

Wright sat against the wall of the gray room, a brutal cold consuming him as he lay against the metal wall. The eerie silence was interrupted by a low hum as hot air began to fill the room for the first time in a month. The warmth was the first time he had felt comfortable since he had been dumped here; his room was cold, and his bed was metal, and his food always stale. He recalled what it had been like before. Sitting in the control room of the Power Distribution Facility, a soft horn playing over the radio while he monitored the flashing lights and rattling dials. His job was simple; make sure the facility didn't explode and monitor the city's grid, occasionally dumping more coolant into the reactor and insuring his workers and equipment didn't fall into the slag. Most of the legwork was done by ranks of scrawny men in heavy exosuits, maintaining equipment and manually inspecting coolant and exhaust pipelines. He was simply the second line of defense and kept a heavy workload off of the archaic automated systems...
He could feel the warmth flood the gray room. He could feel it as is partner called him and cried out...
He felt the heat hit his face, as he was filled with anguish and hate...
He suddenly felt a greater heat, harmonious to when he cut the coolant, as the guards ran in and tackled him...

"You killed my daughter!" he cried out, as he snapped back to reality.

He scooted towards the corner as he recuperated, dissipating the heat of the moment, his rage towards the Cult of Irene the only thing keeping him motivated...

Down the hall, Piper started to doze off, the bright flickering lights slowly growing darker...

Irene's Light Weapons Platform, Low Utopian Orbit

Piper sat at her station as a low hum enveloped the station around her. Through her headset her commanding officer barked orders endlessly as the station began to stabilize about its axis. Her purpose was to monitor the unholy source of energy that supplied the station with its power; she had been conscripted because she was the only person in Jezabelstien even remotely qualified to do so. Even still, she had no idea what she was dealing with, the core seemed to pour out energy at immense rates for seemingly no reason at all. The technology was too advanced for Jezabelstien but she was glad it was being used for the greater good. The sensor packages and telescopes could be used for so many things with an energy source as powerful as whatever she was handling.

"We are over Kjanu. Lock coordinates on target, prepare firing sequence, Praise Irene."

Her heart sank. She was confused. She'd been contracted to maintain a scientific research station. She felt the floor shake and realized instead she was sitting in a weapon with the capability to kill billions. She was filled with shock... she'd been lied to. The propaganda had gotten to her. A primal instinct took over her body and the fight or flight response kicked in and she drew her sidearm and stood up, to the shock of everyone in the room. Before she could point the weapon and release the safety she'd been knocked out cold...

Piper snapped back awake in a cold sweat, looked at the door and quickly fell asleep again.

The unnamed specialist couldn't move. Only yesterday he'd been thrown in here after being beaten relentlessly. He was sore and tired and could only hope for Death's Row, for the punishments he could accrue from his crime could be significantly worse. He thought about what he had done wrong. Drove a cloaked Walrus right into a public broadcasting of Irene, with intent to kill. The only thing that stopped his plan - his perfect plan - was the shield surrounding the venue. The front end of the vehicle was completely destroyed as it made contact with the energy field, sealing off his escape routes with twisted metal and flames. Soldiers fished him out of the burning vehicle after the battery on his personal active camouflage wore out...

A very decorated officer treaded through the halls of the facility, walking up to the final bank of cells with a smile on his face.

"Open them"

Four simultaneous key turns opened the row of metal doors, a few dozen soldiers dragging prisoners from their cells and throwing them onto the concrete.

"Form a line, we're going on a field trip"

--------------------

Terminal 45

The prisoners boarded a Koheni cargo jet, all dumbfounded as the group of soldiers officers hurriedly and quietly loaded them onto the aircraft. All of them due for execution, the head officer had other plans.

"We all have one common interest, traitors. We intend to dismantle Jezabelstien for the greater good of Utopia. As of right now, however, we need to strike a deal. You all have skills that I need and I have the means to access the tools we need, collectively, to take down the most militarized nation on the planet. For now, however, I need your consent. Anyone who doesn't want to join the cause can disembark and be led to the gallows. Any takers?"

The cabin stayed dead quiet, the exhausted and malnourished prisoners looked around and waited for a response.

"Alright, we will be en route to Pordiya in 15."

A sense of relief washed over the group as he walked out of the room, pain, suffering, and dread turned into hope.

The Thanedom Marines landing ships came to a stop on the yellow sand, squads of soldiers coming free, FY-45’s at the ready as they immediately set up a perimeter. Zeta squad moved from their own landing craft, Crocodile looking around their surroundings. “I did not miss this place. Let’s get those tanks in and move forward.” As he spoke, several Floyd-3 Ravagers and Dozers came from the back of the landing ships, driving up and lining up to head in.”Listen up!” Crocodile spoke up once more, pointing to the forest. “The Cherns won’t be here till we can establish a beachhead. So half of you are staying to keep this beach in our control. Alpha Company, that's you lot. Bravo company, with me. Let's take this place over. For Ragnar!” A loud war cry was sounded, as the tankette armored column moved into the thick forest. Alpha company setting up a perimeter.

As the men moved into the forest, guns were trained ahead and to the sides. Marksmen had their bows at the ready, explosive arrows ready for the likely very angry jeza soldiers. Zeta squad moved among them, a member of the squad was placed throughout the column, saving cohesion. Crocodile himself sat on the top of one of the ravagers, his RHC held lazily as he kept his eyes open for enemies.

Out of frustration, she crushed the mug of coffee in her hand. Turning away from the dull red glow of the terminal, Deputy Director Pipalli leaves her office. “Frustrated? That’s a rare sight from you, Chrisanthi.” Colonel Menelaos Callelis teased Chrisanthi just as the office door opens.
The Director glared at Menelaos with disgust. “Just die already.”

“Status report,” Chrisanthi ordered as the officers quickly lay out the papers on the dull plastic fold table. Pictures of a stream of white light shooting to the heavens were laid out above the detailed scientific reports. According to the Chief Engineer of Two-Seven, the Aliera reactor has a meltdown due to unknown causes leading to a controlled but powerful Gamma-ray burst directly into Outerspace. A hypothetical explanation was an overclock protocol was initiated at an unstable timing. The anomalous radio disrupting phenomenon above the homeland doesn’t appear to affect by wind current nor following the planet’s EM field.
“So you’re all saying her grace is lost?”
Chrisanthi leaned back on her chair and awaits the answers of her frightened generals who had their sight locked onto Chrisanthi’s pistol. “My eyes are up here.”
Chrisanthi smiled menacingly, she then takes out her pistol and points at the officers. The room remained silent as the officers stood still.
“Well then.” Chrisanthi puts down her pistol before lighting herself a cigarette. “Gentlemen, If all is lost… we Pheonix-1 will be the last Jezabelstienian territory. I’m sure everyone understands that?” The officers except for Menelaos nodded. “What is it, Colonel Callelis?” Chrisanthi asked the trickster. “Yes. But It won’t be very long.” He answered as he takes out a translated letter in Fengese. “According to my intelligence...” “You meant your livestock?” The other officers mock him for relying on the locals. “May I continue?” The room quickly returned silence once more, awaiting the Colonel’s report. “Unidentified but very small forces have landed at the south Pingtung.” With the power of this single statement, whispers began to rise within the room.
“Perhaps World Union or the Free Trade Federation are finally having the guts to attack us head-on,” Chrisanthi murmured with a smirk. “We must send our forces to wipe them out at once. More would become. Your excellency.” An officer suggested. “No. More would be coming, that is exactly why we cannot waste our precious human resources.” Chrisanthi replied, she then turns over to the communication chief executive. “I want you to let Atlas know our situation.” The Chief executive nodded before leaving the briefing room and ran down the hallway.
The remaining officers gather at the table with a map of the island. “We’ll leave the guerilla warfare to the locals and the mercenaries.” She explains her plan as she moves the pieces on the map. Chrisanthi ordered as she look at the red dotted line that splits the island into four regions. “And lastly.” She points at the southern dotted line. “Ignite it when their main forces have arrived. Have the second mobile division located on the hills above Dingjing, it’s where they’ll most likely occupy for supplies. Prepare to increase the core output, we’ll need to activate barries for the worst.” None dared to object nor bear the responsibility of the fate of the last bastion.
“Praise Irene.”

Pheonix-1, Radio tower
The sound of heavy rain slamming onto the window could be heard throughout the empty communication center. Following the Director’s orders, communication officer Katina Argyrou sent a situation report to the The Atlas Archipelago. While awaiting a reply from the Archipelago, she began to fall asleep.

Katina raise her head to investigate the unusual sound the terminal made. The terminal glitched and flickered before it was completely shut off. At first, Katina read it as an attack, however, the terminal then restarted itself. “This is…”
A logo of a broken halo with five blades in the formation of a wing could be seen for a split second before the system returned to its usual state.

Christopher Stargazer took some extra time to be seated in one of the chairs as the boy with him helped him into the Fengese chair, once that was done the boy would hesitantly sit down next to Stargazer, a bit awkward in the situation but would sit down nonetheless. The older man would look over at the younger one before looking over towards the Miota-Candor representatives, he studied them from his part of the table as he would get a message in his earpiece.

NE Soldier: "Head Councilor, security personnel has been set up all around the city and near the Palace, were ready to move in at a moments notice in case anything goes wrong."

Stargazer would give a soft grunt in acknowledgement as he would glance back at the guard he had with him, but as he was focused on his message he would receive a small nudge.

Boy: "Father." He says quietly to get his attention, which worked as he turned to his son. "The Empress is speaking." The Head Councilor nods and would rejoin the current conversation just in time to hear the tea request, in which he would give her a soft smile and raise his hand.

HC S. Stargazer: "I have heard much about your nations tea from some of the people working at the Silver Tower back in my country, I would like to try some myself."

“Sigh… what a world-class embarrassment.” Kana Ichihara mumurred.
“We can hear that, Kana.”
“Ek!”

“Apologises, please allow me to introduce myself. I’m Fuyuki Mashiro, the current Grand Chancellor of the United Kingdom of Miotia-Candor.”
Mashiro then turns to the girl with brown long hair besides.
“This is Kana Ichihara, a friend, and a journalist. The man beside her is Mikely Blancy.”
Mashiro paused for a second then turns to Stargazer.
“I’m sure the LSC intelligence already have taken an interest in our Serp friend. He’s one of the Serpentuem special forces who survived ‘down there to witness the creation of the phenomenon knowns to Serpenteum as the God Tree Speranta. He is currently Kana’s assistance.”
Mashiro explained, nodding to Blancy before ending it with a smile at Stargazer. While she sits, a bandage covering a bracelet is on her right hand could be seen for a split second.
“I’m Soua Lam, the current Director of all Yotsubishi assets.”
Soua stood up and introduced herself with a Cantonese accent.
“This is my assistance, Edward Gyasviel. A Rikuran.”
Edward and Soua bowed at Stargazer as a greeting.
“We’ll be looking forward to working with ARC industries.”
Soua then returned to her seat.

“Didn’t you heard the soldier? They said to have the Palace surrounded, Soua.”
Edward whispered to Soua.
“It’s not like what we have anything to be scared of.”
She replied while looking at Mashiro’s bandage on her right hand before she sighed.
“I don’t know whether or we’re lucky or unlucky.”

PleikeNews broadcast 6/10/21

Reporter: Good morning, day, evening, or night for everyone watching this. I'm Zelea Jisneq, this is PleikeNews.

The round of 16 in the Villozene cup is now over. All the teams that have made it this far have played their games and half of them can rest for 2 days, while others have a match day tomorrow. || Kuzikstania Tigers and Kjarlemad Komets faced each other in PleikeStel Arena 2 days ago, which ended up in Tigers' routine victory 2-0. Kjarlemad City didn't manage to undermine the giant club on the first set, which ended in the Tigers winning the set 25-19. The second set was a little bit tougher, ending up 26-24. || Madia Orangers and Kaszniv Lentiz had an intense match in CyclOn-stadium. The sold-out stadium saw a sensational victory for Orangers, who managed to beat Lentiz by 2-1. Kaszniv won the first set maybe a bit too easily, the final score being 25-15. On the second set, however, Madia Orangers managed to get a grip from the game and won it 25-20, and their trance after the game was simply too big for Kaszniv to handle anymore, and the Orangers won the 3rd set 15-12. The game ended up in 16,200 Orangers fans invading the pitch. || Hyrdy Blitz and Saz Sazmonsters had another tough game in Dark Bell Center. Hyrdy Blitz thought that they had the game after winning the first set 25-21, but Sazmonsters surprised the crowd with a comeback from 7-point-lead. It seemed like Sazmonsters used all the energy they had to the 2nd set, as the 3rd set was a catastrophic failure for them, Blitz winning by 15-5. Hyrdy Blitz won the whole game 2-1 and continues to the semifinals. || Wyla Vikings and New Kuzikstania City faced each other in Kona-Brenden Stadium. Vikings with their veteran roster and City filled with future stars made the game quite tough. Wyla Vikings won the first set by 25-20, but lost the grip almost completely in second set, losing it by 25-15. Then again, it seemed like New Kuzikstania lost it's grip in the worst possible situation, losing the third set by 15-6.

Krysznas Kuzikstania played in the morning against Blue Bridge Blues, winning the game routinely 2-0. Both sets ended 25-17. || Port Jeff Grasshoppers' fans found a reason to celebrate, as they managed to beat Jhoelcen Pelicans in PleikeStel Arena by 2-1. The games were incredibly tight, the first set ending to Grasshoppers by 25-23. Jhoelcen Pelicans won the 2nd set by same numbers, but couldn't manage to beat the Grasshoppers on the 3rd set, which they lost by 15-13. || Aernaeb Wild had little to no problems in defeating newcomers Retqer Patriots, as the game end for Aernaeb by 2-0. Both sets ended up 25-18. || Jhoelcen Mariners and Zijaqle Thunder faced each other yesterday afternoon. Zijaqle Thunders won the first set quite easily by 25-15, but slowly seemed to lose the grip of the game by losing the second period 21-25, and lost it all in third set, losing to Jhoelcen Mariners by 15-12. The Mariners move up by winning the Thunder by 2-1, and Zijaqle will have to pack their equipment and travel back to home without the cup.

The Round of 16 begins on Tomorrow, and here is the schedule:

A blue hologram appears behind the reporter, who steps aside from the camera for a moment so people can see the schedule:

7/10
Kuzikstania Tigers (favorite) VS Madia Orangers
Hyrdy Blitz (favorite) Wyla Vikings
8/10
Krysznas Kuzikstania (favorite) VS Port Jeff Grasshoppers
Aernaeb Wild (favorite) VS Jhoelcen Mariners

As the hologram goes away after about 30 seconds, the reporter steps back in front of the camera and continues the news.

Reporter: That's all the news for now. Have a nice morning, day, evening, or night. We'll see you soon.

On the vast rails that connect the nation together, it is no surprise that there are a plethora of trains of all types; from cargo-haulers to the average passenger locomotive, there are sure to be some that stick out. None of them stand out more than the steam and steal giant, the Class 500 Armored Train. Since its creation in 1938 until its retirement in 1965, the train has been used in a multitude of ways: a mobile command center, troop transportation, and even as an emergency shelter and transport for the most important government officials. It is no surprise why it was used for so many roles, however. The batteries on the train alone could take on some of the most heavily armored tanks of the era and defend from relentless aircraft above. Military historians and train enthusiasts would flock to the tank-on-tracks whenever it made its anniversary debut in the capital's central station.

Unfortunately, after five decades of running the parade, the corroded material and aging interior could not support its own, and the train eventually fell into disrepair and was left to be showcased in the National Railway Museum in Parfi. That was until this Monday, when the trains firebox was re-kindled and the pistons of the beast brought it back all the way to Pont Central Station for its anniversary tour. After a decade of refurbishing, the Ministry of Natural and Cultural Reserves along with the National Railway Museum had been able to get the old wheeled fortress back on the tracks to continue the train's anniversary tradition for current generations to see.

Gertbland Gazette #3 | Drought Is Down But Not Out

Two weeks have passed since the announcement made by the Seltian Governor aired until yesterday's expected press briefing when the governor declared good news to be on the horizon for farmers and homeowners.
The governor stated:
"After two months of tribulations regarding this lack of rain, we finally come with good news that will be welcomed by all, water restrictions are to be lifted by the end of Sunday, October 9. The Seltian people have proven to be strong under challenges, and we successfully reduced our water consumption by nearly 30%, meaning we can finally bring water back to the table for everyone in the province!"

This hopeful news has spread like wildfire across the province as citizens begin to make plans for refreshing activities over the weekend, like Bill Wurser and his family who are planning to head for the pool this Saturday.
"Well, its a great fortune that we get to enjoy what we really have been missing. I have many friends who own farms here that have taken a hit, but they have assured me they can bounce right up by the end of this month. I'm sure everyone feels immense gratitude for our government acting quickly, or else we could have been in bigger trouble!", exclaimed Mr. Wurser in an interview.
And he is right, a pole for the provincial government showed an increase in nearly 10 percentage points after this incredible recovery. As for the 4 year plan announced by the Governor's Office and the Seltian Provincial Council two weeks ago, they have already petitioned the federal government for the requested forints for the renovation of water infrastructure in the province.

Gertbland Gazette #4 | Tax Bill Breaks Though Bureaucracy

A recent bill has broken past the halls of Parliament as one of the largest pieces of conservative legislation to meet the Head of State's office since the start of the new administration. The bill lowers the taxable income of middle to higher class citizens throughout the Republic. Currently, the lowest number that is estimated to include an average family of three for a reduced taxable income is 50-55 thousand forints. Conservative leaders celebrated their victory after the vote with a press conference in Parliament this week. Most leaders expressed their approval of the bill, saying it will save the money that they work hard for and for an increase in job growth to the working class. Reports from the Ministry of the Treasury show that nearly 83% of families are a part of the large group middle and higher classes in the country will benefit from this bill.

Liberal politicians and party members alike have not taken this conservative victory as an outlying event. Plans are being drawn by many liberal leaders on campaigns throughout the country to see an increase in voter activity for their side, with their final goal being to take back or swipe seats away from the conservatives.

A young woman is standing upright in a scissor lift in a hot and smoke-filled factory. Her welding helmet covers almost all of her face and hair as the bright blue sparks of the flames of the nearby welding bot jump out like grasshoppers in a field of grey metal. Then an electronic siren goes off, signaling to everybody that their 8-hour shift is done and they can go home. The woman presses a button on the panel next to her which lowers her down quickly and automatically. She opens the little doors and walks to get her things from the bench near-by. She takes off her welding helmet and puts it to the side. Her light black hair shines like a bright room creating a harsh shadow.

She goes into the bathroom to freshen up a bit and comes back out. In 12 more minutes she say goodbye to her co-workers and newly elected manager and heads off walking to her home, just 2 blocks away. She looks up at the concrete jungle of Omni City. An electronic clock from atop of the Jessamine Clock strikes 4:00 P.M. Standard Central Region Time. She pulls out her Andrejz SmartCelluar and checks her notifications. She is reminded of the upcoming Parliamentary Session, this is special because it will decide if Fide Thomas Rush should still be temporary Lord President or instead go through another election since this is the longest any Lord President has been temporarily appointed.

She walks to the intersection of Louis Dane Boulevard and Neo Republic Street South where she sees a poster on the Communal Cityside Community Board sponsored by one of Central Local Democracy Bureau here in the 23rd Omni City Southern Municipal Zone. It shows a hard-working woman with a red filter all across the poster. At the bottom, in bright purple is says 'A HARD WORKER MEANS A WORKING ASTANA-ANDERS, VOTE FOR THE HARD WORKER, THOMAS WILLOW OF THE SOCIALIST REPUBLICANS' in reference to the upcoming 23rd Omni City Southern Municipal Zone Parliamentary Election coming in 10 days.

She continues to walk before walking up towards a table with a green colour scheme and some people handing brochures to passer-byers interested. It's from the Omni City Southern Municipal Chapter of the Green Party of Astana-Anders handing out pamphlets and brochures decrying the recent Rearmament Campaign by Fide Thomas Rush as against peace and the values of Dimitri itself. She takes it reads it and nods to some of the talking points.

She then heads home finally to see her son laying on the carpet of their flat playing with his toys. She asks him to head to his room to play inside before kissing him on the cheek. She then undresses until there is nothing but her tank top and bottom undergarment covering her. It was a long day but hey, that means she'll get more money today, as for the amount of money to create by working, the same amount you get back everyday. She usually makes 180 RC a day. She sits comfortably on the sofa as she watches the news about another 100 thousand men and woman signing up and 30 thousand conscripted into the army.

Good afternoon to everyone, I have deleted my post from a while ago as it is now completely irrelevant and as such, I'll be searching for new ideas. With this said, I'll be working on a government factbook and possibly a factbook on the largest companies. I'm open to taking ideas from everyone via telegram on what my arc could be about. I'd prefer to keep it mostly internal considering both of my other arcs failed because of the causes of another nation which was involved, and doing so would mean i can progress at my own pace and with my own creative ideas.

Budaia

Internal RP
Once again, the ashes of fate blew eastward, signifying the beginning of a new Dynasty to rule over Budaia. Sutra Gyatso stepped up to the throne and challenged fate by releasing ashes into a storm. The ashes blew westward, meaning he had won the throne. On this day, Fate marked the beginning of the Gyatso Dynasty.

The following weeks, Sutra promised that he would see to it that the entire Budai bureaucracy would change. After a month of legal battles, the last member of the previous bureaucracy was officially fired from office. Gyatso and his entourage of monastics gained full legitimate control over Budaia.

Over the course of the following Months, Budaia would see economic growth, the first upturn in its economy since the mid 1900s. The primary sector of the economy flourished, and many sincerely believe that the Universe specifically chose Gyatso to be the Promised Shah of Budaia.

Just Off of Kosmos Naval Base, Atlas Eternal Battlegroup
Diplomatic Mission to the Highest Imperium of Feng Dynasty

The waves were calm this morning and the clouds hung over the Utopia in a beautiful elegance, Karu looked up at them from the deck of the SUS Atlas, a small smile coming to his face. "Ma armastan Rigalli hommikuid..." he said quietly, looking back behind him to the two turrets, each with a set of four cannons on them. The same was for the rear, a total of four turrets on the vessel, each having four twenty point one inch cannons, various secondaries ranging from eight inch triple naval guns to CIWS, autocannons and missile tubes. The massive superstructure itself rose high, sprouts of autocannons and CIWS emplacements dotting it to protect the high-rise structure. He took a deep breath before letting it out in a long sigh and began his trek to the bridge, a long journey, the ship was of formidable size, six hundred meters in total length, a weight above two hundred thousand tons. And this vessel was going on a military excursion? No, actually, on a diplomatic mission to the Phoenix Kingdom, to impress the Fengese with the great might of Atlan military prowess...or maybe something deeper than that? By the time Karu had reached the bridge, the enginemen had begun to fire up the great diesel engines and the battlegroup was preparing for their departure. Karu gave a small sigh, looking over to his quartermaster before gazing back out at the vast open sea far towards the Phoenix. "I have a weird feeling...not bad but, just funky?" he said oddly to the quartermaster who looked at him, a bit concerned. "Pardon me, Commandant?"

"Ah, it's nothing."

Their departure had begun and slowly, the massive battlegroup cast itself to open sea, the Atlas sat at its center and was surrounded by defensive vessels, a single small carrier, four missile spitters, three destroyers, a cruiser and four submarines. The amount of needed protection was massive, the journeys were expensive but would not be in vain of all spent and sacrificed. The Feng were valuable allies and Karu had been itching to meet with the Fengese imperialists since his appointment as the military ambassador to Wasaru, and he knew their alliance to the Feng was extremely important so solidifying a relationship with Feng was crucial to the success of a formal alliance. He watched the sun rise as the battlegroup slowly made their way south to the imperium, the phoenix's light shining in the distance...

Taijing shone in the morning light, the Atlans had arrived the next day and so the sun had come above the horizon and casted a beautiful glimmer from the ocean and onto the golden city. It was true that the Phoenix shone, Karu stood upon the bridge and watched as the massive Atlas attempted to fit itself into the Port of Taijing, his eyes fixed on the walls which were erected in the distance, the palace where the empress was. His heart began to race some, his mind confused as his stomach began to turn. What was this feeling, so foreign and odd. He dismissed it though, gathering his needed belongings and meeting the diplomatic envoy at the gangplank. Beside them were five paladins in their dress armor, knights armor from the tenth century, ceremonial in nature yet effective against conventional ballistics. Karu breathed in deep, looking at those surrounding him, an ambassador, a military advisor and CEO of JMI, Kirkland Jericho. He looked at the approaching caravan of Fengese transport and took a deep breath.

---- The men in the blue vest ----

Zameszky, Quiners Province, Jazkovn - 1901

It's a calm Sunday morning in this little town set along the Zames-river, which branches into Blue River in few hundred meters. A brand new struss bridge crossing the Zames-river has been recently finished, finally uniting the 2 sides of Zameszky after 51 years of being separated by the river. They used to be connected by a wooden bridge, but it was destroyed during the collapse of Kuzian Empire in 1850. If the amazing views from the river isn't counted, Zameszky is pretty much a casual town with a small population of about 10,000: It has 2 paved main roads crossing each other, and the rest is dirty mud road. The main streets are filled with 3-4-story mixed-use buildings made of brick, and they're the most busy roads used by a few early cars, stagecoaches, horses and pedestrians.

On this busy Sunday, hundreds of people are moving all around the city, either going to the work, shopping or back home. It's quite a hot, about 25 degrees celsius, but there is 2 men who for some reason wear a navy blue jacket. What's even weirder is that they are not wearing a hat, like everyone else does. One of them looks at the other man, who nods at him and they both walk fast on a small alleyway. They hide behind empty boxes so they couldn't be seen that easily from the street. They take their jacket off, and they appear to wearing a white shirt and a blue vest. They take a blue cavalry hat they hid in their jacket and wear a black neck scarf found in the pockets of the blue jacket. Then they start quickly shoveling the muddy land with their hands. A big wooden crate slowly appears from the depths of mud. They open it together and take a bolt action rifle, dynamite and a semi-automatic pistol. The pistol is completely white with blue baroque-style engraving all around it. Both of the men hug each other quickly, holster their weapons and casually walk back to the main street. One of the goes back to where they came from and heads towards the train station. The other one goes to another alleyway right next to the Jazkovnian barracks.

As the man steps in front of the main entrance doors of the yellow-colored train station, he looks around him just to make sure there is no dark-green uniformed soldiers nor law enforcement units behind him. He takes a deep breath and kicks the doors open, rushing inside. He takes his pistol out and fires at 4 Green-uniformed Jazkovnian soldiers who were guarding the insides of the station. They all fall on ground with a hole in the head. Few seconds later 2 more soldiers rush inside from another entrance and opens fire at the man in the blue vest. Unfortunately for them, they miss their first shots and face the same fate as the 4 other soldiers. The man runs out of the train station and takes a dynamite from his bag. He lights it up and throws it to the train tracks and rushes back inside. As he barricades himself in the train station terminal, a big explosion can be heard outside: The railways are gone.

Meanwhile near the barracks, dozens of dark green-uniform soldiers rush out of the barrack doors heading towards the other side of the town centre where the train station is located. One of the soldiers bumps on a stagecoach, which makes the horse get scared and causes even more havoc in the streets. Everyone's running inside as the panic erupts in Zameszky. The man in the blue vest slowly approaches the back entrance of the barracks, takes out his rifle and goes inside. Only 3 soldiers were staying in the barracks, and they became the first victims of him. He shot the officer standing still at the entrance hall and killed other 2 who rushed down the stairs after hearing the gunshots. he then went upstairs to the local document library and took several documents out from there before setting the whole building in fire with a fire bottle. He went back outside and stole a random horse from the backyard, and fled the city, unsure if his friend is still alive. He could hear the rapid gunfire stopping instantly as he managed to get out of the center of the town. He is 100% sure his friend did not make it out. He thinks in his mind: Why me? Why am I the only one always leaving alive?

He has been in the same situation several times before. He has killed a lot of people. He has done it all because he wants to be free. That's a mindset of a member of Kuzian Resistance Movement, K.R.M. These were the times of Unrest of the New Century.

One of the most important things to the new Dynasty is balancing the quality of life of their people with equality and oneness with the Universe. As such, a large cut of the government funds previously backing corporations, the military, and industry will be reallocated to welfare and education.

Due to the rising concern for the economic future of Budaia’s people, the court agreed on the creation of economic deals with outside states. The current primary customer of Budaia’s resources is Middle Gertbland, which consumes about 8% of Budaia’s oil supply. In return, Budaia will be granted access to a handful of Gertblander ports and will be given Machinery.

In recent news, the Sacred Bonfire of Heavenly Tranquility tilted it’s flames southward, meaning that today will most likely have great weather, so make sure to wear your Saffron Kasayas when walking outside. As always, remember to be kind, caring, and considerate. Khoda Hafiz!

Gertbland Gazette #5 | International Interests Break Isolation

The Head of State has recently announced the nations economic interests in the theocratic nation of Budaia after a weeklong visit to Mangdue. Over the years, Middle Gertbland has increased it dependancy on oil in the landlocked, Buddhist state. Current statistics show that nearly 8% of crude oil imported into Middle Gertbland originate from Budaian drills. This increase in oil purchases and the Budaian economy's need for manufactured goods to arrive overseas and from Middle Gertbland itself has led to an agreement between the two nations. The first major cargo vessels headed for the Budaian Market are expected to arrive within a week in Port Parfi.

Some conservative members of Parliament have protested against cooperation with a socialist government, others are calling it good business. Polls show a fairly unopposed reaction from the people around the country; however, manufacturing and automobile companies are rejoicing the new economic deals.

Baolian Hall, Yongan Palace, 10/08/2021 North Electrica United Kingdom of Miotia-Candor

“Movements of all soldiers of North Electrican origin recorded to be stationed around the city and near the imperial city. The Taijing Guards-hall shall implement standard precautionary procedures.” Her head chambermaid had whispered to the Empress in Court Fengese, a fengese dialect of the palace almost incomprehensible to most outside ears. The Empress nodded, whispering something back.

[i]“Most sublime, do be sure to prepare for anything. North Electrica may be an ally, but precaution is always good after all….”
The Empress smiled as the servant left, switching back to english. She spoke with a faint lilting accent, making her sound almost absent-mindedly amused.

“My most auspicious greetings to the high graces of Miotia-Candor and North Electrica, indeed it is a great honour to play host to guests of such lofts of virtue….”

The teahouse was peacefully silent, despite the crowd of luxuriously clothed courtiers standing around them in audience. Servants wandered to and fro, while several were stationed near their table with fans. They seemed there only for ornamentation though, this hall seemed to have its own air conditioning system but it was so well hidden among the opulent architecture that it was hard to believe it existed here.
A Phoenix had wandered in from the gardens, chirping a warbling song. The Empress cleared her throat softly. Her face was an enigmatic mask of oblivious daydreaming as she fiddled with her fan.

“Today, we gather to discuss the deep intricacies of economies, alliances, trade… and our most interesting situation with the Jezabel nation. Firstly, on would like to stress that our imperium, all our holdings and estates in the Fengese motherland and Huazheng, would be committed to support our cause with our great wealth in coin and recourse….”

The Ports of Taijing The Atlas Archipelago

“Oh~? Coming with the big boats eh?”
Princess Rongchang giggled as she watched the ships dock. Her voice rang with a seductive allure, velvety soft upon the ears. “I wonder why they’re trying to impress… for us to fear them, or for us to admire them~?”

She was surrounded by an entourage of courtiers, all luxuriously clothes in robes that trailed several feet upon the ground. Taijing’s docks were unlike the busy trading ports of Donghai, these were filled with opulent pleasure barges and cruises instead of the enormous cargo ships. Behind the Princess was a carriage coated in gold and jewels….

The Atlan ships docked, out of place among the beautifully crafted boats. Princess Rongchang came forward to greet them as the delegation descended, her eyes glimmering in soft amusement.
“Greetings to the delegation of Atlas…. My, you’ve come quite a long way to see us~ was it hard?”

-THE LEADER-

Fide reads the letter sent by the Fengese. He is... suspicious to say the least. His predecessor, Joseph Vargas, accidently allowed himself to be not only a prison of the Feng during the Astanai Fascist War but a vassal as well, forcefully putting under the thumb of Taijing. Fide doesn't want to make the same mistakes of his predecessor and mentor.

However, if what they say is true, then it could be possible he can negotiate a deal with them to get them not only to get him to recognize them as an independent leader, but after reading about how members of The Atlas Archipelago are there, he maybe be able to also negotiate a non-aggression pact that he so desperately needs in order to not only final get his nation as a world power, but also a way to finally do something about pesky Atlas.

He decides to agree. He leaves his Arch-Chancellor, Joanne Lee in charge until he gets back. In the meantime, he decides to go himself, deciding to take a risk with the Feng. But he will come prepared, he's also bringing the aging Prussia Werdin, the only man to have the most impressive track record when it comes to the Fengese. He's also bringing along with him the head of the Central Bureau of Foreign Affairs'-Wasaruan Division, Andrei de Olsa, a trusted party member and head of the Party Financial Negotiation Division, Christina Oswald Gregor, and 10 Presidential Republican Guards, just in case of course.

He leaves for Taijing at once and arrives just a mere few hours later.

-TALES FROM Astana-Anders:A POEM-

"I once had a dream turn into reality,
and that reality turned into a dream again.
Where I could at the snap of my fingers, change the world.
Now I sit here, fallen from grace..."

- Joseph Vargas

Wrote Joseph Vargas in his winter home in Hansk City. The city was getting ready for the upcoming anniversary of the defeat of the fascist forces of Blue Harper a year ago.

" A year... time goes so slow and fast at the same time..." Thought Joseph in his head.

He was in his desk, writing poems and stories, a common thing he used to do to relax and clear is mind. He could only remember what life was like in '14. There he was, on a platform beaming with light against the cold and blue, dark sky. A crowd of more than twenty-thousand were there, standing, jumping, screaming, happy over the man they elected as Lord President to run the country after the reign of William Water Rivers. The sky would be filled with trains honking, yells, screams, cheers. Oh how he had been so hopeful...

... And that hope soon turned into tragedy. He had the charisma and popularity of the legendary Dimitri Castro, but not even half of the skill. He bungled with @United Brennia, failed to stop riot after riot in his '20 re-election campaign, did not see Blue Harper slowly manipulating things from behind the scenes and committed a coup against him, made a mockery of himself in other countries, and launched wave after wave of failed programs, treaties, and ideas for peace and to boost the economy.

The economy of more than 39.23 trillion Lien was reduced to less than half, 23.92 trillion after Blue Harper destroyed the economy with his war. The subsequent occupation of Astana left resentment everywhere and war was almost ignited again, it was only due to luck and the assistance of the Feng that caused these nightmares to not happen. The popularity of him at 91.005% was dropped to a 40.2% by September.

And during all of this, he struggled with everything. The amount of problems he had to fix left him no time for his family, hobbies, or even maintaining himself. It got so bad, his wife left him, not divorce but went to simply go until he got better. He sometimes couldn't take showers or sleep for more than 4 hours because of all the problems he had to fix. It got worse when he had Fide elected by the parliament as Arch-Chancellor. In a bid to to gain support from members outside of the Left for Progress faction of the Socialist Republicans, he chose Fide to be his pick.

At first, it seemed like a good choice. Fide had a record for being up to any task no matter how large and being Arch-Chancellor just meant vetoing bills one saw unfit and being the 2nd in command to the Lord President. Not only that, but at the time, the Young Radicals were quickly becoming a major faction, almost bigger than his Forward! faction. So he picked him to gain votes. It quickly became clear that Fide was something else however.

Fide would often veto legislation that Joseph wanted and allowed what he didn't wanted. And they would argue for hours over policies of foreign affairs', the economy, and most importantly, the ongoing occupation and treaty of Yongan and how to fix Astana. It all came to a head when Fide threatened to call for the dissolution of the parliament if Joseph dared to go through with his plan for creating a Northern Utopian Union. He went along with it and Fide did it but failed to gain enough votes.

Joseph had it with Fide's infighting and threatened to force him to resign from his post if he contiuned to act against his wishes. Fide agreed and what was left was a tense relationship between the two. Then it happened... a week before he resigned... the Veoannish Parliament along with Bridgette Coleson rejected to form a NUU with Astana.

... The second he heard it... he went into a psychological collapse. He had spent so long trying to fix both his nation and the world and instead of peace he only saw more dissatisfaction and anger. Distrust between the Veoannish and Astanai was continuing to rise, the economy hadn't improve by a lot, the nation itself was becoming more disheartened and fractured along lines.

So when Kuzik and Jezebel finally began to slug it out in the fields and oceans of war and blood, he'd resign. He knew Astana-Anders would have to do something and he knew he would not be up to that task. So, he prayed to the father that Fide would not do the things he'd fear he would do.

But... life often doesn't go the way you want. Fide immediately began to dismantle the treaty that was paid for by foreign and domestic blood. He began to egg on Kuzik and the war and re-ignited the hostilities that were slightly cooled between them and The Atlas Archipelago. And when he heard that he was putting frigates into the Red and Jessamine bay, he considered going back to Omni City and reclaim his post. But his mental health still wasn't good enough.

Now here he was, writing a poem, drinking tea, and watching the news about the talks between Atlas and the Feng Dynasty. He put down his saucer and cup and once again began to write.

"As I watch from afar these events unfold,
I also watch and the write the history being made as well.
I ask myself, 'Will the sacrifices for peace and liberation last until the sun dies?
'Or, will the blood on the beaches be washed to sea like common sand around it?'

We stand on a precipice never before in history.
Not even the great Dimitri could predict such things.
I ask, again, 'Will the sacrifices for peace and liberation last until the sun dies?
'Or, will the blood on the beaches be washed to sea like the common sand around it?'

Riding inside a blacked out van with tinted windows was a male person in his early 30's. Wearing an officers uniform christened with a red star and a hammer and sickle in middle of the star and a Novoroyskian flag on his sleeve it was clear that he was apart of the Novoroyskian Army. Disembarking from his van, two heavily armed soldiers followed him, he grabbed a folder with several documents inside and headed into a tent where several men in Altikarian army uniform was waiting for them.
Sitting down on a wooden stool, he began to talk with the Altikarians.

Novoroyskian Officer: "So...You called for us?"
Novoroyskian Officer: "Sorry for the wait, getting into the country was a bit complicated on our side."
Novoroyskian Officer: "Anyways...What do you want?"
Altikarian Officer: "We need your help."
Novoroyskian Officer: "Oh?"
Altikarian Officer: "We've begun a coup against the current monarch in order to fix this country."
Altikarian Officer: "This country is controlled by quote unquote socialists but you and i know that's a lie, a bad joke."
Altikarian Officer: "And i know for sure Novoroyska would be willing to help another communist depose a monarch."
Novoroyskian Officer: "Hm...I need to talk with someone, i'll be right back."

Walking outside the tent, the Novoroyskian Officer headed towards the van where he pulled out a military radio and began speaking into it in Rouvskian.

...Several minutes later

Walking back into the tent a slight smile on his face, he began talking to the Altikarians once more.

Novoroyskian Officer: "Good news, my higher ups have accepted your offer."
Novoroyskian Officer: "You should be expecting a large force of naval infantry arriving soon enough."
Novoroyskian Officer: "In the meantime we'll be leasing out equipment to you till the end of the war."
Altikarian Officer: *Pulling out a bottle of whiskey and several shot glasses* "Happy to have you onboard!"
Novoroyskian Officer: "You too." Said the Officer as he shook the Altikarian's hand.
