The Eurasian Union State is a federal one-party republic and is heavily involved with global and galactic affairs, and is generally considered a major power.

| LEGION

| LEGION is an organisation in the New World Union, founded in May 2021 by Unified Empiricus, for the purpose of providing an electoral alternative to a stale political tundra. Contrary to what some may say, is not a Political Party, but instead defined much more broadly as an Organisation, thereby giving it much more leeway in how it operates.

| Put simply, Legionist ideals maintain that the New World Union and its primarily Roleplay-orientated outlook marks itself as an escape from the real-life realities of the day. Therefore, we believe that the political posturing and politician talk that comes around every election does nothing but spoils the OOC Administrative aspect and OOC aspect in general.

— After all, when we play NationStates to escape the political realities and have fun, why then would we want to encounter those same problems on a game?

| Every time there's an election season, all the candidates pull out their speeches and their qualifications and all the great and wonderful things they've supposedly done in the past, passing it off as "experience". Or, they'll say something hyperbolic and emotive, like, "we are in a dark night", "crossroads" or "together". Or both. Essentially, they start talking in riddles because it's easier than talking straight. After a while it just becomes both tiring and boring having to read it. So most people just end up switching off, or at least trying to sift through all the nonsense to see if there are in fact any actual proposals in among all the talk. Does any of this remind you of a certain type of job in real life?

| As we've seen time and time again, it's simply a ploy to get your vote. Their attitude in their political ads is always upbeat and cheery, but soon once they're elected they either have no interest in listening or simply ignore things that are inconvenient. Oh and don't fall for the faux modesty either.

| Legionism believes in Strong Leadership. A concept which is defined by the ability to defend the interests of one's people and one's region, has the ability to listen and act upon the wishes and advice of the people they serve, and can act with the temperance and benevolence expected of any Strong Leader.

| ASSOCIATION

| Being an organisation first and foremost rather than an actual political party, Legion does not have "membership" as such, as the intention of Legion is that it can be much more fluid. Another aspect of this is the fact that Legion does not put forward a single candidate, either. Instead, multiple members can run as Legionaries. Theoretically, every candidate in a single election could be a "member" of Legion.

| IDEALS

These are a broad range of IDEALS that Legion generally holds about the status quo. We consider them as a viable alternative to what the political operators run on and never implement.

| HOME POLICY

• Maintain and Uphold the Charter of Liberty

• Unconditionally maintain the freedoms of speech and expression

• Adopt the Legion Vexilium as the Regional Flag in recognition of the Glory of the NWU

• Adopt the Legion Banner as the Regional Banner in recognition of the Glory of the NWU

• Creation of a deity, "Barman Barry" to watch over the citizens of the NWU and to keep beer chilled
  

| FOREIGN POLICY

• Maintain the tenet of Strong Leadership in order to deter raiders

• Consider a new Embassy Protocol

• Maintain the Sovereignty of the Region; not bending the knee to regions who dislike how we operate simply to keep an embassy open, and preempt them by closing the embassy ourselves
  

| JUDICIAL POLICY

• Expand the Supreme Court

• Maintain the independence of the Judiciary and its ability to adjudicate without unnecessary interference
  

| ROLEPLAY POLICY

• Continue running the Roleplay Department as it has been successfully and in accordance with the Constitution
