Well done actually. Good formatting too, and it's not too drawn out but not too short either, and you kept it straight to the point.

I honestly thought it would be crap. Thanks man. I don't like drawing that kind of stuff out, because it's just useless

OoC: Tidrax how much data would I be able to retrieve fro your ships?

Would I get any of the following:
1. Xavier’s messages to Ienovo
2. Details of Tidraxian Command
3. Details of Tidraxian government
4. Details of Tidraxian forces
5. Xavier’s messages back to HQ
6. AI programs
7. Comms to current Tidraxian Forces

Just name off which (if any) I get from my retrieval

No.

You would know there is almost no formal military structure outside of the basic ranks. Xavier was given free reign to do what he wanted in the regard. With him gone the new structure is going to be made from scratch.

Uh. Lack of government perhaps? It’s public knowledge Tidrax is held together by corporate entities, primarily the ones owned by Natalie and Jo. The fact there are no details on government would be telling.

You would get the numbers in my fact book. It’s easy to narrow down where the 200 Diesel subs are what with their short range. No schematics or what have you are there. However they are the core of the defensive plans you find that Xavier made himself.

He did not communicate with any HQ. he was the HQ.

AI wise, you get a window into how it works; from what your guys can tell the grid itself is segmented and maintained by an possibly “intelligent” AI housed on the flagship of the grand fleet, who gives perogatives to the “dumb” AI housed in the regular battleships; this implies that a very large weakness of the current naval design is over centralization, and, had everything targeted said flagship, its entirely possible that the fleet itself would be without a nerve center; a body with no brain. No AI cores themselves sunk, however, it’s made clear from all the information gained in your scavenging efforts that these AI are the brainchild of Natalie herself, and might be a mainstay of things she manages.

Mechanics wise you just get data on how the dumb AI distribute information to the individual receivers/platforms they manage. A significant first step if you don’t know the first thing about networking mass amounts, but other than that it’s about all you get there.

OoC: Where did that flagship go again? Xavier bailed it, I remember that...

AI might be a dead-end, but I got plenty else...

For R&D, we now have railguns, huge finds for the Soviet Army and Navy. Artillery is going to a whole new level of lethality, were gun ranges are tripled and damage is maximized.

Also, the KGB now knows how the (dysfunctional) Tidraxian government hinges on Natalie. They know how valuable she is to the nation, and how she might be the best target for a “disappearance” should Tidrax strike again.

Soviet brass also know the Tidraxian defensive plans and protocols, and can now work attack plans off their flaws. That is a big find. The AI structure also makes a brand new plan of attack for Soviet Armed Forces. This time, a single SPETSNAZ unit could be used to take down an entire Armada with this knowledge.

That big ol F-You ship is currently in limbo depending on if The manchu republic is honest with its terms (they are free to go, as in universe the terms of surrender were met 2 hours before the fleet itself surrendered); it could very well end up docked if whatever sabatoge to the communications between the fleet and homeland isn’t resolved asap. I’m a D&D nerd so I’ll pry roll a two sided die, 50/50, for each hour it goes unresolved. Dice tell the story and all.

Yeah, the homicidal tendencies of this one guy who let power get to his head is going to force a lot of reform down peoples throat. With a cult indoctrinating millions on my tiny island and it’s largest military asset a wreck this can only end well.

This is for people who are familiar with Donald Trump’s campaign. Did he ever show any sympathy towards students or even attempt to come up with an education policy? Because my guess is no

Edit: okay so I looked, and he does have a “policy”. Basically it boils down to giving states more control while reducing the government’s role in education as well as promoting school choice and college access. Not bad, but I’ll believe it when he makes good on that policy.

I had to do something briefly about this for my degree, but can't remember much. From what I can recall/double checked with a quick google search, in regards to education, Trump appointed Betsy DeVos (who was controversial enough that Mike Pence had to cast the deciding vote in the Republican-controlled Senate). They had also proposed cutting the Education Department's budget by about $3.6 billion and spend more than $1 billion on private school vouchers and other school choice plans. One of the main issues with the school choice problem is that many of the private schools included taught creationism instead of evolution, with some even removing science from the curriculum and replacing it with religious education.

I don't understand too much about the American education system - its completely different from the UK, and I'm pretty sure that our national curriculum includes discussion of evolution and forces schools (at least at secondary level) to discuss various religious viewpoints rather than just one particular one - I know that GCSE Religious Education required me to know about Islam, Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism, Judaism, and various different Christian denominations (although mainly CofE vs. Catholic). We also have a different system regarding private and state schools.
But maybe you'll be able to make more sense of it?

"My fellow Ienovans. Today. I'm here to talk about the crisis that is taking place at the moment with the rebel situation. I want to make clear, that the Liberal party... Wants... The rebels to give their mind to the gov. I do not in any kind support the violence they or the gov make. Think of all the children and mothers and fathers. Dying. We condemn the countries who supports massacring innocent people. I am shocked to hear the Rossiyan government... Making such threats to supporters of change. This is a national problem we have. Many are in danger. Libertas in danger. I am calling for a embassy shutdown. All citizens cannot leave or enter the country for a few days until this situation works. We are working with the People's party to make a plan to make sure... Ienovans won't get into this battle. We are not attacking any nation. If they attack, we strike back. The government will be kept open so don't worry about those jobs. The Liberal party would also ask to not whatsoever disturb other countries. Thank you and may democracy, be victorious. Forever. Thank you

Well still, being able to choose what school you go to is a right of every student. As far as I know, Trump wanted to abolish Common Core (which has not happened as of yet, not to my knowledge anyway). Now this is one thing I can agree on, as Common Core forces students to learn the same things at the same time, which artificially slows down the brightest kids. Students need to be able to learn at their own pace, and this is something that should be taken seriously.

In Scott Island, 5 men are sitting at the table. All were middle age, around in their end 40's.

"Greetings friends"

All 4 would look

"Is this a rebel group like Manchu?"

"No. We plan something more civil. Far too long, the power is at the hands of the french. Sure the President is elected in a democratic way, but in the 200 seats in parliament. 130 seats belongs to Quebec. Why does the parliament belongs to 40% of a group while the 60% gets the 70 seats. I call for a party to make Ienovo fair. English and French united. 100 to 100. Or make English more seats by a few, not like them"

I've decided that as I haven't really done much with my RP storyline, and with a new Secretary of Culture, I'm going to completely reboot my storyline (although relationships with other nations is still the same).

So the first major news story from Palait this year is in.

Today, the Palatian House has passed a new Equality Act, following months of campaigining from multiple human rights campaigns. Every change was voted on separately and compiled to form the new bill. Palait has always been regarded as a progressive nation, with its Prince being openly and unapologetically bisexual, and these changes appear to reflect that.

Sex and relationship education in Palait has been widely praised, but now it will have to explicitly cover other forms of sex such as oral and anal activities and non-heterosexual relationships. This isn't a radical change, however, as 98.6% of schools use the government funded company LoveFirst which have met this criteria since 2015. LoveFirst has been highly praised both in Palait and from other countries, ensuring they make informed choices about their practices in the future.

In the same section of the act, it also bans the use of Conversion Therapy in line with the Palaitain Psychiatric and Psychological Association's recommendations. Section 18.71.3 states that 'Any churches or religious organisations found to be encouraging this abusive 'therapy', of which there is no scientific basis and has proven negative effects on the mental health of patients, will face a review with hefty penalties including immediate closure.' Section 18.71.4 elaborates that this includes the use of excorcism, disguised pastoral care, among other forms of conversion therapy. Most religious groups in Palait have backed the new legislation, with the Adventians of Palait leader Douglas Harrison saying "This is great news. For too long has our religion been associated with these barbaric practices that the vast majority of Palaitians find abhorrent. This abuse of power has driven many away from our churches, scaring people away from the true meaning of God's love - that he welcomes all who are free of sin, to love thy neighbour". Some other religious groups have criticised the move as 'government taking too much control over religion'. Other religious leaders, such as the Void's Ascendant, have supported the legislation, as have the majority of Palaitians.

The act also forces any new facilities to have gender-neutral toilets, citing them as being more hygenic and that after independent reviews and pilot runs found no evidence that there was any greater danger to either sex. Some women even stated that they felt more comfortable; the main concern that people had in the pilot studies was simply the waiting times due to the lack of urinals. Buildings are being encouraged to ensure there is adequate facilities available, and if necessary due to a lack of room, to include urinals in a separate section of the restroom.

Another significant move in the proposal has classified feminine hygiene products as essential equipment, and therefore must be able to be obtained from stores, schools, and hospitals free of charge to Palaitian citizens. Condoms, among a few other products have also been listed in this category.

Prince Christopher has stated that 'this new Equality Act has come after a two-year consultation with both the Palaitian House and the public. I'd like to thank everyone who has made their voice heard. I am so proud that finally we are able to end period poverty by not only removing tax on feminine hygeine products but by offering them to individuals free of charge. We're also managing to end the barbaric phenomenon of conversion therapy, and ensure that the high standard of education in all domains is met.

Following the release of the new Equality Act, approval ratings have reached yet another high. 92.4% of people favour the leadership of Prince Christopher I, while 76% also have a highly positive opinion of Fionn Wilkins, the leader of the Palaitian House. Fionn Wilkins had seen a notable drop in approval ratings over the last three months following the revelation that he had been a member of the Adherents of the Void. While some have cited this as a case of religious prejudice, many believe it was simply due to the breaking of convention: typically the religion of House representatives is kept secret while they are in office, and they have to justify their votes, which cannot be on religious grounds to ensure a true separation of religion and state.

Man, version 3.2 of my military factbook is taking too long. Who knew creating new units would be so tedious?

Aaaand I messed up my math and f**ked up the numbering of the units. f** me!

The New England Patriots. I’m pretty pessimistic though when it comes to the NFL, which keeps me from being an asshole Pats Fan.

Favorite Football Teams not in NFL:
Division 1-FBS: Michigan Wolverines
Division 1-FCS: Sacramento State Hornets (School I will be attending after my stint in Junior College)
Division 2: Humboldt State Lumberjacks (Unfortunately they are now dissolving their football program)
Division 3: Whittier College Poets (YES, POETS) (For some unknown reason they recruited me for a bit shortly after football season my senior year. The only school to do so, so that’s my only reason for liking them)
NAIA: William Penn Statesmen (During this offseason, They asked my current program’s staff about offering me a job to do the same thing I’m doing currently, on a full ride but I may or may not get paid. Also I’d have to move to Iowa so nah lol)
JUCO: American River College Beavers (The Football program I currently am a part of the staff for. #ARCCCCCCCCCC)

It's really dumb too. With so much land to cover, trains are a lot more efficient in carrying large quantities of people and goods alike. Also there's something calming in the sound of a train cart as you watch the nature and urban landscapes pass you by.
