Update on Elections

Hello everyone as you know that currently we are having elections so to make it a little bit more interesting and more democratic we have decided to do a question answer type of session between candidates and residents of LDU.Residents may ask any question from candidates about their manifesto/Agenda(which Candidates will be bound to answer).

Erimea

Sulasburg's general policy outline is in the factbook section of the nation page, and can probably answer most questions. However, if the factbook raises any questions, they can of course be asked.

You have my vote, Sjevre

My vote is in

Erimea has allowed polygamy.

Kyrze and Sparrow1

I am proud of my work in my nation.
In one day I went from being the # 35 economy to being the # 28 largest economy in the region.

When it comes to gross domestic product, I'm number 21.

Sounds like a party.

Erimea

What's going on?

Potenzia wrote:Sounds like a party.

I have also included it in my Constitution.

Erimea wrote:Erimea has allowed polygamy.

There are people who argue that polygamy should be as legal as same-sex marriage and whatnot because of the same reasons — it is not in the government's right to decide who you can or cannot marry.

That's exactly why I allowed it.

I had not had that problem before, it was the first time, and I knew that it would improve my civil rights, in addition to the fact that my country wishes not to interfere in the affairs of its citizens.

So I approved it because it brought benefits for everyone.

I’ve had 2 issues about incest in the past week.

Hello everyone,

As you all know I have been nominated for the election of President in the LDU. I am really looking forward to working with all of you. My plans are to get you ... the members of the LDU more involved in the policies of the region. This will not be easy, but what is already established in my program is that less stringent requirements are needed to stay in the region. My Civil rights are not good at the moment. I don't like that because I think you all know that I am different myself. So my requirements are going to be.

- Civil rights -every level- IF YOUR POLITICAL FREEDOM IS ABOVE AVERAGE

- Political freedom -every level- IF YOUR CIVIL RIGHTS IS ABOVE AVERAGE.

- Economy should not be a requirement. As long as you have 1 of the 2 above requirements you can stay.

We are of course going to recommend that you have everything above AVERAGE.

As President I also want to focus less on attracting new members, and especially large countries. If we have fun events in the region, we will experience many more activities in this region. Then we will have more people online. And then the new countries will hopefully come naturally.

My main goal is to rewrite the constitution of the LDU. Not the ideas of it, but more roles in the government. We are now with an additional (50-60) countries since this one was written! ..

regards
Sjevre - Ex-Interim leader and current Assistant of President for WA Affairs

I am officially endorsing Sjevre for President of the Liberal Democratic Union, even though it's pretty late for endorsements.

I agree with him on many of his proposals and I am in favor of relaxing the entrance requirements, and focusing more on internal affairs within the region now that we have grown, though growing is still important. Both Sjevre and Poland-bavaria have been very active in this region and have proved to be hard workers, though I think Sjevre's experience, as interim leader and Assistant of President have tailored him better for this position specifically.

In this election it is hard to go wrong though! Both are great candidates.

Madrinpoor,
Speaker of the Liberal Democratic Union
