Start of the Calptionion Civil War
With tensions rising between the Moderate and Hardliner wings of government, the stage was set for the upcoming civil war. However, months of talks and compromises, an agreement was almost made that would make Calption avert the civil war. However, due to certain extremist members of the Hardliners fearful they would be booted off the next election, they killed multiple prominent Moderate Friedrich Yelo, Postmaster General of Calption, hopeful that it would fracture the Moderates, and reduce their power significantly. However, this plan did not work out, and grievously upset many Moderates, who now believed that peace with the Hardliners would be a futile endeavor. As a result, the Moderates led by Aletu Smith declared the Hardliners to be enemies of the state, democracy, god, and are power hungry warmongers who deserve nothing less than complete destruction. Thus, the moderates began to mobilize their soldiers to fight the Hardliners they so desperately hated, starting the Calptionion civil war. The initial stages of the Calptionion civil war saw cities such as Strason, Jious, Anchas, Bayent, and many others immediately fall to the rebel forces. However, with the victory at the second battle of Umbran Fields by the second army, led by newly appointed general Uni, the Hardliners were able to affirm their control of inland Calption, and most importantly retain control of the Capital. With the start of another Calptionion civil war, minority groups like the Hillpeople and the Wespers took this as an opportunity to regain independence, and as such rebelled. The rebellion of the Wespers wasn't crushed almost as soon as it started, due to a combination of unlucky occurrences, like miscommunication, and the Moderate third Army being there to immediately crush them. However, the Hillpeople, due to a combination of hard to navigate terrain, and the fact that Hardliner divisions were occupied in the North, had a much better time, liberating majority Hill people regions. This severed Calption dessert territories from the rest of Calption, and the government there proclaimed neutrality in the conflict in order to prevent them from destabilizing and completely collapsing due to their already delicate economy being unbalanced even more with the civil war, and preceded to send every last soldier they have to the Hill people border, in case they attacked.

I am going to go back to the South Pacific, and i will tell them that i found a new region.
