What's your favorite color? =P

Mine is dark silvery turquoise... kind of like the sky on the right of my flag!

Beer leader and the twins are back from camping. Although it didn't rain while they were there, thankfully, it's been raining pretty well non stop for most of the year so they are covered in mud. Beer leader didnt sleep much last night on account of the bull frogs at the pond and therefore it's time for everyone's favorite new beverage caffeinated beer leader summer lager!!!!!

OOC: All results are random. I've also updated the dispatch with the results.

IC: In this second International Tournament, no players will be eliminated immediately. There will instead be seven rounds in which winning players are awarded points. Every player will play each other, and the players with the more than 3 points will move on into the next round. This process is repeated, until there is a winner.

Round one

Commentator's comments: There were some very close games with masterful tactics from all players.

The Mzeusia-Perchan game was especially close, and both players ended up with only a few pieces on the board, but Varion was able to pull ahead with a well thought-out manoeuvre with a pair of heavy infantry.

The Hanguk-Nippon-Leonism game seemed for a long time to be going in Hirschberg’s favour, but Kōmun, was biding time, and managed to outsmart Hirschberg’s with a clever trick, and from there, Kōmun was able to snag a convincing victory.

Snoodum’s Veranik and Your imaginary friend’s DOF played the longest game in this round, both not willing to take any unnecessary risks. They both moved into strong positions, and the game appeared to be heading towards a stalemate. However, DOF had the slightest of advantages, and made use of that well, seizing a win at the end.

Sinyal and Loftegen 2’s game was a fierce one, between two clearly committed players. Hope showed the crowd some interesting tactics however, probably stemming from his chess background, and Sinyal’s Katie Flames was caught off guard, resulting in a win for Loftegen 2.

Snoodum wrote:After some deliberation, the Snoodian government has decided to temporarily buy back all foreign embassies, knocking them down and replacing them consulates. These consulates shall be state-owned and under full state-control. If any country wishes to purchase one, send a telegram to the Snoodian Foreign Ministry and talks can begin.

To facilitate state control of these new consulates, the Consulate Safety Act has been drafted and a link below provided.

The Snoodian Consulate Safety Act

TWENTIETH OF SNOODIMAY, 2038

The Almighty God-Emperor Snudgeskooge has hereby declared that all foreign consulates within Snudgeskooge’s Palace shall be required to be bugged, have their phone lines tapped, be fitted with listening devices, cameras and metal detectors.

The aforementioned precautionary measures will be generously provided by the state. Counter-Terror Command will have full unfettered access to all information taken by consulate surveillance equipment. If any equipment is tampered with, consulate staff will be taken in for questioning and a skeletal crew inserted into the consulate for the duration of the investigation.

The new law will go into effect immediately as of the time signed and will be enforced with full authorisation to use brutal force by the ever vigilant and glorious police force. If needed, the military can be called in to conduct an extended consulate siege. Any laws in conflict with this new legislation are hereby declared null and void. Any protestors to this magnificent law will be shot on sight for endangering national security.

This law was introduced by God Emperor Snudgeskooge to ensure the longevity of Snoodian interests both at home and abroad.

How can we buy something that is owned and controlled by the state? Methinks 'God'-Emperor Snudgeskooge needs to adjust his meds again! :P

Ignoring the barbs, the Snoodian government wishes to inform Loftegen of the concept of renting a building. Perhaps that rings a bell? More likely it flies over the heads of all Loftegen's citizens. The Snoodian government would truly not be surprised by the latter.

Perhaps the Snoodian government should consult a dictionary and check the difference between 'purchase' and 'rent'. :P

Riot at Fyyrig Maximum Security Prison engulfs three cell blocks.

The nation’s largest penitentiary, Fyyrig Prison, is currently wracked by a riot engulfing a third of the complex. Prison staff have been pulled back to the safe wings and riot police from the local Domestic Influences branch have been sent in. Emergency services are poised to be sent in while the government considers the best course of action.

Prison guards say the new influx of political prisoners set off the riot, pulling stakes and bats from hidden places and arming the other prisoners. The prisoners in Cell Block B broke out in the early hours of this morning and the riot spread to Cell Block’s A and C. No fires have been sited yet though given the savage nature of the inmates, the local fire department are on scene with more firefighters been called in.

The government says the death toll among prison staff is minimal though the prisoners shall be dealt with accordingly. Snipers on adjacent buildings have been alerted and the Urban Disturbances branch of the Snoodian Special Forces is currently on standby.

Police negotiators have still be unable to find any prisoners willing to talk to them, prompting some to suggest a more forceful attempt at negotiation though no feasible plan has been devised.

More on this story shall be released as events unfold.

That's an interesting question! Hmmm.. ^-^

I'd never want to give up my lovely internet friends and PC gaming soooo... I'd probably be a bit of an oddball for messing around with technology things in Imaginary. I might also be unaccustomed to working as hard as Your Imaginary Friends do (most spend a lot of time producing food for themselves) but I have some experience gardening and such things so I'd like to think I'd do okay!

Aigania wrote:Now, that's food for thought, what would likely we will experience if our RL like self would be dropped in our imaginary nations, here in Lazarus

I think I'd do well enough in Mzeusia. I've made it as much of a nice place as I can, so I'd be very happy there. Nice question!

I expect that if I found myself in Loftegen 2, it would be a lot like visiting another English speaking country: most things would be the same, or at least similar, with enough different stuff to make the experience slightly surreal at the same time.

The thinking about the consequences is mostly when I pause to RP o read the text and stats again and wondering what kind of nation I am doing. Something that drift me in interesting directions. The contrast between the comic slant of the game and the over thinking can be quite hilarious.

On the other hand Your imaginary friend I suspect that if I got my RL self dropped in Aigania I would land in the uncanny valley or near. At the least it would be safe and I could solve some personal issues (including health ones).

This is very cool! Thank you for doing it. (I can't wait to see how DOF will do in the next round!) =)

Were the descriptions also part of some random generator or did you write them yourself?
