FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS - The United Democratic States - ALLIANCE PROPOSAL
Dear fellow friends and family here in the Region of Lardyland, I am here on behalf of the Department of Foreign Affairs in the United Democratic States to propose the involvement of Lardyland in the Grand Alliance
The Grand Alliance would allow our regions to participate in each other's events and fully integrate our two regions into one huge family. This alliance includes several other UDS-allied regions, including Abandoned Branch, NATO 2022, and more.
This is fully up to the government here in Lardyland, and you may request changes if necessary.

Welcome to the Grand Alliance, a interregional alliance between The United Democratic States's closest allies. Together in this alliance, we work close together for mutual defense, joint events, and to create one big NationStates family. Our work will not be unnoticed, and our dream will not be unreached!
MEMBER-REGIONS
The Grand Alliance is made up of several regions, big and small. How do you become part of the Grand Alliance you may ask? First, must have an embassy with the United Democratic States (as the head region) and must be pretty active via communication with our region's countries. In our amazing alliance, we have the regions of:

THE GRAND ALLIANCE EVENT PROGRAM
The Grand Alliance Event Program (GAEP), is an area of the Grand Alliance, which operates over interregional events. Interregional Events are events that all regions of the Grand Alliance participate in. These can include:
- (Inter)Regional Events (within every member-region)
- Liberation (Anti-Raider) Programs (UDSLP, Arakeia, and more)
- (Inter)Regional Role Play (including UDS, Arakeia, and Abandoned Branch RP)

The head region, (The United Democratic States) looks over the alliance, and is obligated to keep the alliance in check.
The Executive Branch from each region must work together when creating new activities or adding new region members.
Member-Regions may NOT invite new regions nor allow new regions into the alliance without the consent of the head region.
Not all polls must be public to each region, regions may still have specific regional polls. Example: [region] as regional elections and wants only their citizens to vote.
Each region must include the Grand Alliance somewhere in their WFE (World Factbook Entry). We recommend:
"This is a GRAND ALLIANCE region".
If a nation is banned from one Grand Alliance region, they may not join another.
Any disputes between Grand Alliance regions will be held in the SCOTGA (Supreme Court of the Grand Alliance) when established.
THE HEAD REGION
The head region of the Grand Alliance (The United Democratic States) serves a life term unless given away.
The head region is NOT all powerful, the head region cannot:
- Control other region's role play or regional doings
- Favor one region over the other
- Completely control Grand Alliance events by itself
The head region can:
- Invite closely allied-regions to the Grand Alliance
- Kick regions from the Grand Alliance if necessary
- Accept or deny Grand Alliance events with the Executive members of each region

GRAND ALLIANCE ISSUES #1 12/9/24: UDS & NEW MUKO
Based upon the conflict, regions may conclude their availability for New Muko to join their region if the poll in the Abandoned Branch ends in a "ban New Muko" finish.

Status: Disallow
Reasoning: New Muko's past role as a hacker, deceiver, and an ignorant nation has led to the citizen-states of the UDS to form a sort of hatred towards the country. Following the November WA Delegate Elections, Petriland came into power, removing the former delegate the Nantucket Island Republic from the seat. Petriland and the governor-state of the UDS, Asucion, allowed New Muko to speak on the UDS RMB again. In response to this, many nations were angry and felt some sort of betrayal for the government allowing a nation like New Muko to speak again. Due to this, the UDS Department of Defense banned New Muko once more, leading to a poll in the Abandoned Branch to either keep or ban New Muko. A yes on this will lead to New Muko's complete ban from the Grand Alliance.
Status: Allow
Reasoning: Although the Abandoned Branch recognizes the things New Muko has done to the United Democratic States, they believe that as New Muko has done nothing to the Abandoned Branch, they should be able to stay. The Abandoned Branch established a regional jury system and created a poll (open to both the UDS and the Abandoned Branch) to determine if New Muko should be banned or not. The WA Delegate of the Abandoned Branch, Beeducalm, along with the UDS nations of the Arsens, Petriland, and FREE COMINTERN REPUBLICS, all expressed their support for New Muko and they believe against the UDS majority. Even with this, the Abandoned Branch is flexible and is opened to both.
Status: Allow
Reasoning: Even when the White Mountains is a small region, it can have a large impact. On 12/8/24, the governor of the White Mountains, Colonial Granite State, contacted the UDS governor-state asking for permission to send a telegram to the Abandoned Branch expressing the White Mountain's ideas for the New Muko conflict. With a UDS approval, the White Mountains sent a telegram stating that if New Muko is not banned but the Abandoned Branch does not want to carry the guilt of having a hacker in their region, then New Muko can be sent to the White Mountains. Whilst New Muko is in the White Mountains, they will still be able to contact the Abandoned Branch, NATO 2022, and Arakeia via embassies. Colonial Granite State has expressed that they do not support New Muko, but will allow them into the White Mountains for extra protection of the larger regions (meaning the Abandoned Branch and the United Democratic States)
POLL OUTCOME: Yes to Ban New Muko (Abandoned Branch Poll) | However, even with New Muko being voted out by the community and two Abandoned Branch regional jury, the Abandoned Branch WA Delegate allowed New Muko to return into the region and not be banned.
