You could have done that on the forum but I'll take it here, thanks

"Hi! I'm Erroria, just joined this region! You can call me Dust though.
Although I'm new to NationStates (joined the day before yesterday), I do have nations in other regions. They're Dustalma, Cardiata, Mirroria, and Invertablia."

My first message seems perfectly standard. But hoo boy my third message is definitely something.

"I'll mash the potato up and slather it inside their shoes, or on the slippers, or whatever they wear as footwear."

You monster.

My 2nd, 7th, 8th, and 9th messages were all responding to a nation that got banhammered. x_X Your third is beautiful, Dust. I don't think it takes more than a couple messages to get settled in. We're friggin' chill XD

Hello everyone, there's a new dispatch up related to the celebrations of founding day!

It is about the founding Sages of Karma, if any of you would like to know a bit more about who created this region here's a good tool for you!

THE FOUNDERS OF KARMA

When Karma started, 3 years ago, the Sage titles each came with a duty connected to them, and while every Sage still helped the others when necessary, the Sages were the de-facto heads of the department associated with their title.
Sometimes we tend to forget that those who lead and guide us are also people just as we are, and for this, while we celebrate all the hard work put into the creation of Karma to give us what we have today, we also take the opportunity to celebrate the Sages as the people they are.

These are the first Sages, the ones who paved the way for the region so many of us now call home.

KAWAII
RIN SAGE - MILITARY

The choice for someone to lead the military was not a difficult one. Kawaii is an experienced R/D player and while good and effective at that, she also is someone who often lifts the spirits of all those around her, making us laugh, smile or just simply filling us with energy, her presence is most certainly always felt!
She is not present in the region anymore, her path in life lead her somewhere else, but the people who got to know her still appreciate every little moment we can spend with her when she does pass by!
Kawaii, we thank you for being ready to dedicate yourself to helping your friends even when you were unsure how much you could give, we thank you for always bringing joy when you peek your weeb head into our lives again!

HALO
PYO SAGE - DIPLOMACY

Halo was in a way the perfect fit for diplomacy! After all, he is the nicest kindest person in all of the NS world, why wouldn't we want him to be the face of your region? Only crazy people we don't want to be involved with anyway would ever dislike Halo.
You can ask any of the old people who have interacted with Halo often, he is the most loveable guy ever, and he always has the kindest of words for everyone who needs them, friend or foe.
Halo, we thank you for being who you are and bringing your kindness with you everywhere you go, we thank you for always having love to share and rest assured it is always felt, we thank you for being Karma's eternal lovely old grandpa!

PETER
TO SAGE - CULTURE

Peter became our cultural Sage for two reasons: 1) he screamed DIBS ON CULTURE! and no one can argue with dibs and 2) because he was coming right off the heels of helping run a really successful RP region with some other friends. The first thing he did when joining the Karma planning process was make a google doc for organization and canceled out the chaos. He started off as one of Karma's biggest idea machines and eventually grew into the glue that holds the whole thing together.
Thank you, Peter, for always being willing to think up creative solutions, take the hard jobs, and organize us when we refuse to be anything but frantic.

LUCI
SHA SAGE - ORIENTATION

Luci was the first face that new nations were likely to see when they joined Karma. Centered mostly on the RMB, Luci personally welcomed each nation entering the region and helped them find their place.
Thank you, Luci, for being the welcoming face that brought some of Karma's most treasured people into the game and helping to create a space that was welcoming for all of us.

CHRON
KAI SAGE - INTEL

Chron has always been a shifty character... And we love him for it... We also hate him for it. But I guess it made a good choice for intel.
Chron shrouds a watchful nature behind sarcasm and bully culture. He set a dream and a plan to create an Intel situation in Karma that would match any region on NS and used these skills to help with security in Karma.
Thank you, Chron, for helping to keep Karma safe in its infancy and teaching us how to be watchful.

JJ
JIN SAGE - JUSTICE

JJ wrote Karma's first constitution. Though he spent little time in Karma after it had gotten off the ground, JJ was always our go-to law expert, he built the Foundation for Karma as we knew it and was the clear choice for our leader in justice.
We thank JJ for helping direct our scattered ramblings into a complete and productive government and being the first suave British folk music enthusiast to grace Karma's fair shores.

RIGEL
RETSU SAGE - SAFETY

Rigel became the Sage that represented what she loves most: kicking butt and taking names. Tasked with the overall security of Karma both onsite and on discord, Rigel trained and directed Karma's moderators and admins to help create the no-nonsense, wholesome Karma that we know today.
Thank you Rigel for being a tough love advocate and an understanding voice at the same time and keeping our home safe, and thank you for always trying to shine light unto our paths.

ALTINO
ZAI SAGE - VOICE

Altino is the founder of the region, and as the one who gathered all the Sages together it only made sense that she'd be the voice of the councilÖ And in a way Altino as a person represents everything Karma stands for, with her stone cold spirit that allows her to always relentlessly work as hard as she can no matter the hardship, she brings meritocracy; with her warm heart that makes everyone feel welcome, she brings the kindness (or as some call it wholesomeness) we have become known for; with her bright mind that always has the right words for anyone in every occasion, she brings community and togetherness, along with improvement and progress; and with her strong self made self owned energy, she shows us that everyone is capable as long as they are willing to try. She brings us a space to be ourselves, a home to share with loved ones, and a school that teaches us not in the ways of maths or sciences, but in the ways of life.
Altino we thank you for being you, as thanking you for anything less than that would do you no justice.

BADGER
ZEN SAGE - TEACHING

Badger is the voice of wisdom in Karma. He spent the beginning days of Karma deep in thought, actively seeking to teach young minds lessons that stretch far outside of the game and touch us in our actual lives. Many of us can attest to the insight that he has given us and the personal realizations it has helped us come to.
Badger, thank you for taking the time to be our teacher and caring enough to share your wisdom with us. There are many trials that we will never have to face because you gave us the opportunity to learn from you instead and that has made all the difference.

Now, with the celebrations quickly coming to an end we once again pass the torch to you, the people of Karma!
Head over to our Discord and you'll find #karma-shrines, a place where you yourself can dedicate something to the many people who have led Karma throughout the years!

Read dispatch

Also if you head over to our discord we got another type of "shrine" set up in there, go take a peek!
This is, along with the Quote your First RMB, our last event before the closing of the celebrations, I hope everyone had fun, and if you enjoyed it I promise that I'll keep the Culture Department working to bring you more stuff until they can no more! Hurray!
