Quilaco wrote:Itati paused. This was a major point of scholar debate. Different interpretations existed throughout Quilaco. "The main belief is that Mictlantecutli is simply the manifestation of the void, a primordial force. It's an apparition of the ethereal in the physical world. As such, it cannot be "slain" in the physical world, only driven out of it. However, some shamans claim that Mictlantecutli reincarnates after some time, while others believe each apparition to be a different diety, and often will add a last name, such as Mictlantecutli-Iqesi, the destroyer, to signal the different "aspects" of the manifestation.
As for the mortality of the gods, that's somewhat more complex. Primordial forces, such as Mictlantecutli, but also patron love god Viracocha are untouchable. Then, major gods, such as the already mentioned sun gods can be defeated, and even "slain". However, they cannot be annihilated. That is to say, even in stories where they are killed, a part of them shall remain bound in this world, appearing in the different phases of the sun. That is why Mictlantecutli is the mourning sun. As the first sun god, we attribute the rising sun to him, despite his "death" at the hands of Mictlantecutli-Iqesi. Some claim that his apparitions can be seen during the early mornings if one wakes up just at the right time.

But I must ask, in Horizonism, if death is invincible, what happens to people, and gods, when they die? Where do they go?"

Much like Itati earlier, Dhalae paused at the question for a moment. "Well," she began, "when a mortal dies then Halal, the reaper, claims their soul and delivers it to a small realm of judgement called Emelk, where the Celestial Gatekeeper, Portas, will judge them based on different characteristics of the soul. If the soul is deemed worthy of paradise then Portas opens the gate to the heavenly world of Orom, where Sollis, Luna, and all the other pure celestials reside. But if they were sinful and deemed unworthy by Portas, he denies them access and opens the trap door beneath the soul's feet that dooms them to the work of Pokol, the hellish world where Gonsoz Malum resides."

"As for gods" she continued, "When a god, or celestial, dies it supernovas if it still has its energy. The holy text of Horizonism, the Eredet, never answers if any fallen Celestial met with Halal after a supernova so it is believed but not confirmed that the god's energy, called Star Dust, returns to the entranced body of Magnus, who created all Celestials. But critics argue that new Celestials appear in the sky over decades as others fade and Magnus is in no condition to create more so they must reincarnate and Janus shouldn't exist without Stardust. Personally, I believe that the Stardust is returned to Magnus, but Magnus isn't the one creating new Celestials, but instead his rod is, which according to the Eredet, grew out of control and developed a mind of its own after Magnus was paralyzed."

Blood-Like-Tea shot in "Is anyone ready for dessert?" he asked.

"I personally believe that we stick to pacifism against them cause if we intervene with the nations than that could paint us in a bad light and go to war we should instead just prove how much better we are than them"

Fred Acute stroke his chin as his comrade made his point. The ideals of pacifism were admirable, but Fred feared this may lead to complete inaction as a group. "Comrade, I'm happy to see you are a reasonable thinker, and I do beleive we should be careful with world opinion. However, I don't beleive we should create a dicotomy between intervention and pacifism. We can also contain, whcih is to say prevent it from spreading, or help out vulnerable countries. I don't beleive aggressive measures need to be taken. Only measures which may help us prevent the bourgois reactionary mouvement from destroying early revolutionaries. What do you think, Comrade Emilia, representative of New Camelot of Avalonia?"

Subject: Negotiations between Karnten and Morlond

Secretary of State, Elizabeth McCord:
Mr Hayreddin, after all this time I finally have the honour to meet you in person. I saw the Commercial Pact written by your Government and I would like to inform you that Karnten agrees with most of the points although I would like to clarify as far as points 1, 7 and 8 are concerned it goes without saying that any Karntenian or foreign vessels will be safe in Karntenian territorial waters.
It is proposed for points 7 and 8 to be joined together. Karnten will ensure safety and protection for all ships in the territorial waters of Karnten, therefore, Karnten is not willing to pay for an extra fee.

Hizmir, Karntenian Port
As the representative of Karnten was speaking, Hizmir stroke his beard. It was standard procedure to ask for a protection fee. He was fine with dropping it from the deal, however, he wanted to make it clear that this may place a strain on any working relation.

"Ms McCord, although I understand the source of this, I think we may need to clear up any misunderstandings. Karnten's primary economic activities are Weapons manufacturing and Technology Exports. Morover you have a large black market sector, about 10.6% of your economy. I beleive, and I may be mistaken, that your nation therefore, is at a high risk of piracy. Indeed, It's true you have a large army, one of the largest in Janus, however, even the might of your arms cannot cover the entire sea. Moroever, you simply do not have the means to protect servers and other network assets. Add to that the new comptoirs in Shajaea and Banu Asfour and you can see that althugh you may be able to secure ships in your waters, it will cost you.

There are two options, I beleive, and this deal ensure the best:

The first is simple. We drop these clauses, and you do not pay the fee. The Coptoir magically remains. Any ship leaving Karnten would be at risk of being under attack. Your nation is therefore forced to use it's navy to escort every commercial vessel. Your fleets are forced to run around, and protect every fishing boat, every cruis ship, every surfboard going through your waters. As soon as the ship is outside your waters, it would be pillaged. Therefore, you need to change policy, and escort the ships to their desitnation. It's even more expenisve and you are thinly spread . Your budget doesn't cover every sea, and you find yourself making compromises, letting some things getting stolen. Morover, your navy moving through other people's territorial waters fsits well with no one. After all, ships can simply sail into a comptoir in Shajaea, were they are outside of your jurisditcion. You could place ships right outside Shajaea, but logistically, this would be expensive, and simply escalate poor relations.

On the cyber side of things, your networks will find themselves at a high risk, and company secrets may find themselves leaked. Not only are Morlondian's some of the smartest people, but technology wise, you cannot compete with us. Indeed your information sector is large, but that simply means there are more targets. Imagine your data gets into someone elses hands? After all, I'm certain Shajaea would love to know about your latest weapon design, and would be willing to spend a considerable sum. Slowly, you find yourself drawn in a war of atrittion, as your logistic are spread to their maximum, while we simply keep falling back on comptoirs and basses we have negotiated Janus wide. This is bad for you, it costs a lot of money, and it's bad for us, we loose manpower, and are hostile with another nation. All in all, not great for both of us.

The other option is you keep the clauses, and we haggle. Maybe there is something Morlond has that you may want. Lower tarrifs, for instance, allowing you to have access to the Morlondian market. Priorithy treatment, or other types of interactions. Keep in mind this treaty is a draft. I expect there are things you may want in return.

You gain, make a killing, while knowing that your ships, and internet lanes, will not get attacked by anyone. We make a nice profit, as well as a great trade deal. We are both happy.

Before Itati could respond, Hondas butted in "When was the last time anyone ever made room for dessert, Wine" the Elder laughed, "I'm full myself, not sure about the others"

"I agree," Merandilin announced along with nods from the others.

"I believe we are all done here, thank you" Dhalae smiled to Blood-Like-Wine before he dismissed himself to the kitchen.

"I hope you were well sated with the meal, Itati," Estiel spoke, "Tulivagian dinner etiquette has what I expect to be weird system but we decided to spare you of the wrath this time as this is probably different then dinner etiquette in Quilaco. When the majority of the guests agree to end the meal, the meal ends."

He continued, "I suppose we can make our way to Crystal Tower soon, if you have any concerns don't hesitate to let one of us know. And finally are you ready to begin the tour of the Commonwealth or do you need to rest for a moment?"

Imperial palace Tulivag
Itati nodded at Estil's question: "It would be a pleaser to tour the Commonwealth."

"Excellent!" Estiel exclaimed, just follow my lead, we will be heading towards the stables to collect our horses. It's not too long a walk I assure you. When we get our horses first place we should go is Crystal Tower and that is just outside of Alinor."

The rest of the dinner party said their goodbyes to Estiel and Itati as they left the Palace. Estiel led the way down the steps leading away from the Imperial Palace and through much of the city. The wide cobblestone streets were well occupied - but not crowded - with Tulivagians making their way on foot. Finally, they reached the outside of Alinor's thin walls where they arrived at the stables.

"Good to see you again, Nurrlon," Estiel said to the man who owned the stables.

"Ah, hello Estiel, here for a ride I take it? I'll go ahead and get Roses to fetch your horse. And you have a friend I see, I'll let her rent a horse" The stable head turned to the small building just right of the larger barn-like stable, "Red-Like-Roses!" he called.

"Thank you" Estiel spoke as a younger man with a similar golden like skin as Tea and Seas had ran up to the three.

"Yes sir," Red-Lke-Roses answered.

"Go and fetch Ambition for Mr. Stormian and um, Martin from the stables." Nurrlon ordered. Roses quickly departed to the stables and quickly brought out two horses; one was a white stallion and the other a black stallion. Estiel reached for his pocket and handed 15 Tulivagian Yen (TY) and handed it to Nurrlon.

Estiel spoke as he saddled the white stallion, "I should have asked this earlier, but do you know how to ride a horse Itati? I remember you said only part of Quilaco practiced horseback riding,"
