As for embassies, I would disagree. The number of embassies is not as important as the quality of the relationships. You can have a thousand embassies but that will not be of any benefit if there is no diplomacy between the regions. I think we should look at the embassies we already have and work on enhancing those relations before trying to establish embassies with dead regions and puppet storage stations.

I think what Dawood meant is that there are two aspects of creating embassies: one is the "meaningful relationships" which you talked about. Which is fine.
The other is to ensure more visibility across the spectrum of regions so that we can attract new members. Dawood was talking about the latter. We won't have embassies with dead regions and puppet storage regions. But this aspect of embassies must be looked into while accepting or rejecting embassies. We are not a large region as the UEI. So our needs are different. Let's not carry baggage from the UEI while deciding on matters in IE.

I am not an executive in this region. I serve merely in the position of an advisor. I will of course base my positions on my own experience in the UEI and my understanding of global politics in the NaitonStates universe. However, I recognize that the Islamic Empire and United Empire of Islam are separate regions with different needs and requirements. There are certain decisions that this region will take that I personally wouldn't approve of in the UEI, but I try not to allow my personal prejudices cloud my opinions.

You are the constitutional head of the region as the Sultan and the election officer. You have the right to declare an emergency and take post facto approval of the Shoora. You have equal vote in the Shoora as the other two members.
So you are a permanent executive, a very exalted position of honour in the region.

The constitutional amendment delegate bill is hereby declared as passed as an Act of the Loya Jirga, unanimously by the Loya Jirga. I request the Sultan to affix his signature, so that it becomes law.
I would also request our regional historian to update the law books with this law.

Loya Jirga

Hmmm. I think I shall leave the region on exile, in the days to come, as I feel that we are fast losing our original character and may lose our independence in the days to come.

The amendment to Article 4.1 of the Constitution, as approved by the Loya Jirga, is now signed into law by the Sultan of the Islamic Empire.

I don't quite understand what you are referring to. If you believe the region is under threat, that's even more a reason why you should stay.

Don't go , Ali. You've contributed a lot to the region. We should all stand united in these times, despite our differences. Armisael has brought in a new sense of belongingness to the region. He is earnest and has tremendous integrity as far as I see him.
We all need to support him to lead us.
