Construction of the HMS Rodney
________________________________________________
the shipyards hustled with life, filled with the sounds of various construction operations and the sounds of men working and moving around all to their positions. This was all to accomplish one job, these men have did so much to build one thing, the HMS Rodney. The first of it's kind, Rodney is armed with 8×14inch guns, 6×12 inch guns and a dozen of 6-8 inch broadside guns.

Whistle While We Work:

One cloudy and breezy morning, the morning express from Portsford would be thundering down the countryside at roughly 80 miles per hour. Onboard, many of those in first class cars would be dining on a delicious selection of breakfast items such as the Monte Cristo, Eggs Benedict, and the new delicacy known as Waffles while those in economy and commuter classes would be buried in the day's newspaper or a good book as the countryside rolled past. Sitting at one of the tables in the dining car, the Speaker of the House, Robert Smalls would be over viewing an infrastructure proposal he had been working on with experts to introduce into the legislation that week.

About an hour later as the train slowed into the beautiful, yet rather small, Duntry Central Station, the Speaker and another group of congress members would step off the train and onto the station platform. Even though many were from different parties, they all seemed interested in what Robert had drafted as their constituents were growing tired of not seeing the new benefits of industrialization. After a short walk of half a mile, the group would head to their respective offices to get their items in order before the new session of Congress began.

As the day rolled on and the docket items were called and voted on, the House would enter a small session where any single bill could be presented without any previous oversight by committees, although all members would vote on which one to hear prior to the session. In an almost unanimous vote, the Speaker's own infrastructure bill would be voted onto the floor. Yielding his role to the House Majority Whip, Robert would walk to a small podium facing the House members. He would begin to outline a well planned and thought out bill that would ramp up industrialization of farmland through subsidization, expand the measly rail networks and expand rail cargo by requiring separate tracks, increase air cargo capacity at the large air hubs, and further expand the river networks by enacting positive environmental regulations that would allow for rivers to continue their natural ways. To top it all off, the plan called for the requirement of all new homes to have electricity and require all cities to pave their roads and build state of the art sewage systems to allow for the inevitable growth of cities.

What was supposed to be a small 15 minute session, turned into the rest of the day and the House adjourned until the next day. After another day of fervorous explanation and debate, the bill would be voted to the Senate, where by the end of the day it was voted on to be signed by the President. On the third day, President Gibbs signed the new bill into a law, establishing new departments and requiring future budgets to include the new departments in. Wildelar was finally on a roll to building the most state of the art nation in the world.

Norvath

Middle predor wrote:Sophie raised an eyebrow. "The Valamori have been a thorn in your side for a while now, as I recall. Do you expect to need any assistance from us?"

“Not at this time.” Fenris answered her. The Norvs were a proud people but had a right to be so. They had perhaps the biggest military in Cairn as well as a delightful new battleship to test out. “Besides, we have no official alliance as of yet. That’s why I’m here, is it not?” He asked.

Saedesia wrote:Michael would shiver in the cold but would smile through and walk forward,
"Harlan! It is good to see you again Brother!"
The King would mildly hesitate before saying brother with his face in slight discomfort, he would then outstretch his hand for a shake.

“Michael.” Harlan greeted his fellow king simply. They were kin, but Harlan felt no real connection with his cousin. It was also slightly embarrassing to see someone who boasted of his Norvick heritage, shivering in the cold. Nevertheless, he would be cordial

"You are right. And with your battleship, you have become even more valuable allies to have. If this alliance were to come about, what terms would you consider acceptable?"

Michael would realise that his hand was not taken and raise it through his hair hiding his embarrassment,
"Certainly a strong winter... Harlan I have a few fears, may we discuss them in private?"
Michael would look glum and glance at his feet as he spoke.

Yet another floats
After the rise of the Mighty Spear, the military had plans to more than double in size by the King's return, this plan would be fulfilled, and much like it's sister, The Good Horse would float seamlessly over Maiden, this time however it would be accompanied by 4 destroyers.

The Concept of Revolution

With the industry finally being in good shape, the great Cholsky had decided that it was finally time to expand to the sky with the first ever flying battleship. It's design had yet to be made, but a name had already been chosen, The Revolution.

Harlan would nod and the two would board a small flying boat that would take them to the palace. About twenty-five minutes the two were in the king’s office of sorts and the norv was pouring both his guest and himself a glass of whiskey. "So what was it you wanted to talk to me about?” Harlan asked Michael, before taking a sip of his drink.

Michael too would raise a glass and take a swig, he would proceed,
"Harlan, the people are... In distress, they arm themselves, they are ready to take out "Constitutional" Duties, I fear I may soon die to... the Red threat..."
The king would look glum,
"Do you face them? Do they come this far north?"
