My knowledge on the matter is still pretty limited, but it's pretty bad that Boeing is responsible for this whole MCAS disaster

Those safety features were optional. Maybe if the airlines paid more dinero they would not have crashed obvs.

Yeah of course I mean, why do airplanes have to remain in the air? Taking off is guaranteed, landing safely isn't. If you don't buy a premium package we'll just crash you midway

Or literally just after takeoff. This is what happens when you don't buy the season pass.

They were originally going to design a whole new aircraft but then Airbus released the A320neo and American placed 300 orders for them so they rushed the development of the MAX. The MAX is based off of the original 737 Classic series which is now over 50 years old.

Which is in my opinion simply not acceptable. Money is important, but you have an entirely different level of responsibility when you're designing flying containers that can take hundreds of people to their deaths.

What I can't understand is, had they announced the MCAS and mentioned it to pilots, would that have been enough to break their selling point of no retraining for pilots?

No, it's the 7 Pro. OnePlus launched two phones today, the sucessors to last year's OnePlus 6T, the OnePlus 7, a normal flagship killer device like the ones they always make, and a more premium device, the 7 Pro, which is meant to play in a higher segment but is still cheaper than comparable Android alternatives.
