I hope that they'll be able to stop the fire before too much damage is done.

I saw it a few years ago, I love that church

Doesn't look good

The building itself can survive if the structure remains safe.

But there are so many things inside which can be destroyed by the fire, and the spire has just collapsed.

It's horrible, it's a tragedy.

We were watching it this morning

Thereís a reason Iím trying to travel unreasonably soon.

I saw it a few years ago as well.
Apparently some of the artwork inside had been removed a few days ago for the first time in decades due to the renovation, so at least thatís good.

The stained glass is also probably gone too which is a shame
I was there back in 2015 and it was an absolutely gorgeous church

LET THE ICONOCLASTIC FURY BEGIN. LONG LIVE CALVIN. DEATH TO OBJECT WORSHIP.

Mishmaria wrote:so i'm on cigarettes now

Why

Generation Kill and Jarhead are the only two realistic modern war movies.

Mishmaria wrote:LET THE ICONOCLASTIC FURY BEGIN. LONG LIVE CALVIN. DEATH TO OBJECT WORSHIP.

Or we could do as in the Byzantine Empire and start crushing all iconoclast heretics who don't understand basic church dogma

Feels great to not be worshipping any graven images over here.

Mishmaria wrote:Feels great to not be worshipping any graven images over here.

Feels great to know that we don't have any heretics here to fail to understand that it's not the images being worshipped

We have to prepare some wooden stakes

Why? There are literally no benefits to smoking cigarettes.

If you can't understand the difference that's up to you, religious freedom is a thing. As is the freedom to make jokes about other faiths

the northern stained glass window survived

You are required by Crumstaini Royal Porcelain Law to begin your posts with wheezing and coughing occasionally in the middle of your posts.

Enjoy the smokers circle though, you'll meet nice people.
