Once I meet a plication deadline in March, probably mid-month, I'm inclinced to archive everything currently on the offsire forums, unless specific threads are identified to me to keep active. And even then, any kept threads will be spilt so that older posts are archived. Create a clean slate for a fresh start. Without any plan from those of you who should have been maintaining the content, I don't know what else to do. To idetify a thread that should not be archived, send me the URL for the thread either by TH here or by PM at the IDU forums. Also include the earliest date posts should be retained and not archived for that thread.
When this happens, it will happen in short order, it will not be weeks or months in progress.
I've waited for others to step up, and no one really has.
After the threads and subforums are archived, then we'll deal with autotools to simplify content maintenance and archive stuff as we go along.
Once we find someone who can edit the forum skin there, then we'll deal with that then.

What exactly are you looking for? Actual forum maintenance? Activity from the government here to do things on the forum? Both?

I should be able to help with all of the above, but kinda in the dark about what you're referring to specifically. What skin edits do you want/need done?

Cagontia

Least devout in the IDU....

Despite this we are a deep and spiritual people with a significant number of citizens practicing tai chi and yoga.

What I am trying to do as an admin of the forum is to clear out all the clutter that isn't being used now and archive it. Since I was busy for about a year and a half with deadlines 9MAJOR UPDATE OF BOOK, then a new edition of book, then a first update of new edition to fix publishing errors in three different formats) I didn't have much time. This revamp has been needed for a long time. ATM, I just need to know which threads are current and should/would/could be used now and are not out of date (regional departments, ministries, etc.) Even in current threads, I plan to prune excessively lengthy threads and archive the older portions -- more than six months to a year.) More people would use the forums if it wasn't cluttered with old topics. The topics will still be accessible in the archives (which should be in the same outlay but within the archives area. This forum is one of the older forums in Nationstates. It was refounded one time early on IIRC, and we've been stable since. But the place needs a clean up!

The only other thing we need is to refresh the forum skin which requires a working knowledge of the Zetaboards code in order to make changes to the existing skin, or from any new ones that may be in the support forums for Zetaboards. That's a separate project.

Gotcha. When it comes to HTML/CSS I'm pretty handy and can edit as much as Zetaboards allows me to with the code of the skin. Beyond that, I have no experience building an actual theme from scratch or anything, but there are hundreds of them out there to check-out if you're looking for a brand new one.

Also unrelated, but I think I'm going to bring-in my main nation (A classless society), because you have to look cool if you're going to write resolutions.

“Hrarroom!” (= “Greetings”), and a hearty "Welcome to the IDU", for Fire nation empire, Hells bells 13, and A classless society.

*(sends over a gift basket of this nation's produce, including a large jar of high-quality honey and a large bottle of high-quality maple syrup as well as assorted fruits and nuts, for each of those countries’ national governments)*

Everything changed when the Fire Nation came to the IDU!

“Hrarroom!” (= “Greetings”), and a hearty "Welcome to the IDU", for Mango peh peh.

I am praying to the Great Max in the Sky that he may bless my nation with issues that will allow me to finally reach Tyranny by Majority, the most blessed of government types.

I'm always hoping for issues that will help the Archipelago become a greener, more scientifically advanced nation which supports free enterprise but also provides a high standard of public services such as healthcare, education and transport.

Nothing worse than having to deal with awkward solcial and moral dilemmas that just take up time and tax ;-)

But we never get what we want .-.

I see that the founder of The Halls of the WA has been revived. Are we going to try renewing our embassy with that region?

Scientists from the Archipelago set to work and begin a program of cleansing the irradiated landscape in order that life may once again flourish in what had been made a nuclear wasteland.

No apologies needed mate - RL is a true drainer of time.

I can't help but fondly remember the salad days of my youth and early adulthood when life seemed so busy with so little time in which to do so much.

If only I knew what I now know.

What is 'srchibimg'?

typos.

“Hrarroom!” (= “Greetings”), and a hearty "Welcome to the IDU", for Svalbard and the faroe islands.

Leprechauns have appeared near our nation's capital city: Ah well, they're paying for their drinks...

(It's from an 'Easter Egg' issue that only appears around this time of the year: The trigger for it seems to be having 'gold' or 'golden' somewhere in the nation's customisable details.)

Proud to be number one for the IDU's healthiest citizens.

From Government sponsored gyms and leisure facilities to the Nova Sodorian love of outdoors activity (such as the island's famous annual triathlon that attracts participants from across the region) the average citizen spends a significant portion of their time living an active lifestyle.

In addition to this intelligent menu choices of mostly organic foods have led to a healthy and active populance.

5 Easter eggs down. Unknown quantity left to go.
