The best way to make sure that I actually see your claims/land changes is by telegram.
If you are posting your claims/land changes on the RMB, please ping me so I can see it.
An RP post is required to claim new land. It doesn't have to be long, just more than one line.

Thank you, Gonk nation

I wonder how many people would take that deal lol

Most would, although there wouldn’t be that many people coming to your nation because there are hardly any people that escaped
A few Gold Miner ships would try to keep smaller Gettysburg-like colonies in space, or would go elsewhere

removed tgm and a couple other inactive countries (and added a cringe seal nation don't think about it)

Nah the final RP post involves the Death of the Doctor so no one ruins his character.
My nation will basically be destroyed allowing for new lore from the ashes of Apollonia.

Fair enough, so I don't need to make a Gold Miner Autonomous Republic

Take inspo from everywhere. Theme is similar to X game? Or Y book? Or Z thing? Watch about it, read about it, see memes and music edits on YouTube about it, find the shadow dimension where the reddit-tumblr empire of the inbred Kardashiansburgs left the dying or hiding random corner at.

I basically blast music or see videos whilst making good RP posts.

I think I made a list of my inspiration for Hyperborea somewhere lol

Nah, too many Gold Miners are dead for that

This is not an RP post explaining my extended absence, which I announced a week ago. No, it is just me, explaining my permanent one from RP. Yes, this does mean I am quitting the RP. I thought it over for the past week, and I knew it was for the best. I know, I know, I made all these new characters, and now they’ll be gone. Why would I ever leave? Well, here’s a few reasons:

1. I have very little time. This has always been an issue, but it’s been even more apparent since I’ve started high school. Even in past years, I could RP fairly regularly, but now that is long gone. Even my summer could be hectic.

2. RP used to be my main source of entertainment and storytelling, to prevent severe boredom caused by COVID. I don’t need something like that anymore, and I haven’t for a long time. I’ve moved on. I have friends, activities, and I write my own stories.

3. I’ve been contemplating quitting for about a year now. I’ve tried to make new characters or do new things, but I really do have very little ideas. RP has gotten quite dull for me, which makes sense after so long. There are so many storylines and characters one can create before it gets too repetitive. I have gotten burnt out many times before, so now it is time to end it.

Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate all of the memories RP has brought me, and I will be sad to go, but it is about time. There will be an explanation later today or tomorrow as to what happens to my nation, and why it’s fallen. Once I write that, all of my land will be up for grabs, and all of my characters will either be dead or permanently retired.

If any Just Relaxers are reading this, or if anyone misunderstands me, I am not quitting the game. I’ll still be around to say hello occasionally, and I’ll still do things in Just Relax. I am just leaving the IOC RP with an overly dramatic exit, since it was a big part of my time on NS. It will help settle my lengthy addiction to this website I hardly use anymore.

Valkenburg Company, Association of Varmosan Merchants — Colonization of the Flita System

While awaiting the final confirmation of the exclusivity contract from the Free Nations, the Valkenburg Company would decide to go ahead with the final preparations necessary for the colonization of Varmosa's neighboring terrestrial systems. This, after news, would reach President Damcott of volatile events that were now gripping the People's Union; failure to act now would mean a Yellow Revolution devoid of Company involvement, which may deprive Valkenburg of important political clout and leverage for the coming months ahead, especially now that it was competing directly against the influence of the other major powers of the galaxy.

To begin, colonial resources from Valkenburg's research and development division, Valkenburg Technologies, would be spun off into a new organization called the "Association of Varmosan Merchants (AVM)" with Director Everardus Heyligen acting as executive head. Though nominally tasked with aiding the development of Varmosa, AVM was in actuality a corporate vehicle of the Company to facilitate the rapid colonization and expansion of corporate assets within Varmosa's neighboring planetary systems. In addition to Valkenburg assets, AVM was also to make use of resources from Etheridge Systems LLC and Dacmott Corporation—private security subsidiaries of the Valkenburg Company—to prepare for any anomalies during the course of the colonization missions.

In total, about 5,000 private security guards from Etheridge Systems, 750 Maximum Assistance and Disposal ("MAD") agents from Damcott Corporation, and roughly 20,000 privately contracted astronauts would be fielded by AVM for this mission, the bulk of which would head toward the terrestrial planets Flita-3 and Flita-5 for colonial settlement and atmospheric restoration. Flita-1 and Flita-2, the two terrestrial planets closest to its star, would be designated as mass fuel refineries and solar energy plants due to their extreme conditions. Lastly, Flita-6, Flita-7, Flita-8, and Flita-9 would all be provisionally designated as fuel refineries as well, though the Company would probe each celestial body for any moons that might be worth mining or even settling.

Of AVM's exact inventory of equipment, all associated personnel would be reported to be flying aboard about 50 titanium-hulled interstellar transport crafts purchased from Columbian surplus markets. While mostly dated especially compared to standard Columbian, Xeosian, and Ebottian military equipment, these surplus craft were still centuries beyond anything the Varmosans could field, the ships themselves possessing portabilized heat-seeking nuclear missiles, simple laser systems, and solid titanium hulls lined with reactive plating and kinetically resistant ceramics. Because the Valkenburg Company anticipated a large outer disk of debris while approaching Flita (similar to the Oort cloud), the ships would also be lined with disposable Whipple shields to protect against planetesimals and similar objects.

The colonization equipment for Flita-3 and Flita-5 would consist of large numbers of mining drones purchased by AVUM from New Landings LLC, another Valkenburg subsidiary, which can autonomously conduct strip mining operations, provide metadata on oil resources, and survey real-time meteorological and geological data for agricultural and residential development. As for the planets orbiting outside of Flita's Goldilocks Zone, large, resource-capturing "tankers" fashioned out of older spacecraft would be used to collect gas from the planets' atmospheres, which can then be synthesized into fuels, reactants, explosives, and fertilizers for shipping back to Varmosa or to support those projects on Flita's potentially habitable planets.

As for the equipment of the AVM mercenaries themselves, information would be relatively scarce, though it is speculated that Etheridge Systems would provide much of the force's body armor and utilities, while Damcott Corporation would provide much of the small arms and military logistics. There would even be rumors that the IEI Project would be included among AVM's manpower disguised as MAD agents, though these speculations would be quickly silenced by the Company's PR team. Heavier armaments such as coilgun artillery and vehicle-mounted directed-energy weapons would also be included in smaller numbers to stave off potential pirate attacks that might come from beyond the Flita system.

AVM's balance sheet, manpower, and mission objectives would all be recorded and uploaded onto Pathfinder 1 for the Varmosans to review, though the Valkenburg Company would deliberately avoid publishing AVM's available armaments, instead putting extra emphasis on the schematics of its drones, resource-capture systems, and other non-military components. Of the estimated time until the resources could begin reaching Varmosa's markets, the Company would give a range of anywhere from one week to one month, while agricultural produce such as processed meat and vegetables are expected to take a little longer.

TL;DR—The Company sets up a new subsidiary, AVM, which would begin colonizing the planets surrounding Varmosa. Heavy firepower is being brought, ostensibly to protect against pirates. Resources collected from these colonies are expected to take anywhere from one week to one month to reach Varmosa.

Pulling out.

With the Xeosian Hivemind not having a hive tendril close enough to the Flita system to intervene in the Valkenburg Company's mission, the invasion is deemed a failure due to inaction on the fault of the Arstonices present in the Hive fleet. The Fortess on Varmosa's moon is remotely imploded, leaving nothing but frozen charred remains and a crater in the moon where the fortress once was.
