The Lordship of Augsburg-Fugger, commonly called Augsburg, is a Lordship in Germany. It is bordered on All sides by Germany. Augsburg covers 76 square kilometers and has has an estimated population of ~340k. Augsburg-Fugger Is a Unitary state with 0 Subdivisions or States, Due to it's Small size.

The Lordship is Commonly called "A Window to the Medieval Times", With it's Buildings at the Center of Augsburg being Extremely Old, Some from Roman Times, With a Rich Medieval History, German Heritage, and Government. It is still unknown by Most people in the World, With a Measly Army of 20 Men, Being protected by Germany.

Etymology

The Name of Augsburg-Fugger is a Double-Barreled Name, with the First part (Augsburg) Coming from the name of It's capital and Only city, and the Second Part (Fugger) from the Historic Family that has Ruled the nation since it's Founding.

History

It was Established in 1547, in a Peaceful Transition from the Prince-Bishopric of Augsburg, Once the Fugger Family took Control. It stayed as a Very Minor State in the HRE, Usually just siding with Whatever Larger state is Next to it, Though it did achieve some Accidental fame, after Jakob Fugger "The Rich" became one of the Richest People Ever, with an Inflated Net Worth of 400 Billion USD, Which was about 2% of all of Europe's Money at the time. They associated with Bavaria, Then Austria, Then eventually Prussia. Augsburg, Which was the Only Free Imperial City Left after German Unification, Made a Deal with Prussia, basically assuring their Independence in Return for Siding with Germany and a Large pay to Germany. In WW1, Augsburg Supported Germany In Theory, But in Reality, was Neutral. In the Treaty of Versailles, the borders of the state were Clearly Defined and Cleaned up, due to the multiple Tiny Exclaves from the HRE Times. In WW2, Augsburg was Occupied by Nazi Germany, But Still maintained De Facto Independence, as Germany was Fighting the war and the Lord at the time assured Hitler that they and the city as a Whole were Nazi, and giving almost All money made in the country to Berlin. It's recognized by Most historians that the Lord of the time was Lying, and that the city was a Sort of safe Haven in Nazi Germany. This boosted it's Population.

The small nation is Incredibly Flat, With the Lowest point in the Entire Nation being around a meter below Ground Level, And the Tallest point being a Human-Made tower.

The Economy is Dominated by the Manufacturing and Tourism Industries, Which is what Produces almost 80% of the Nation's Income. The nation has an Incredibly Low Unemployment Rate and Low Taxes.

Culture

The culture is Quite Medieval, and German. There's a Great sense of Pride for the Country there, and waving Flags is Very Common. The Population is seen as Extremely Hard Working.

Energy
The nation is the First nation to Ever become Completely Carbon Neutral, Doing so in 2019, and 100% of the Nation is Powered by Nature-Friendly Sources, Usually Windmills or Solar Panels outside of Augsburg, In Germany.
