Another weak radio signal echoes out into the depths of space, coming from the Olympia Majoris System...
"...to the surprise of the Alliance, the Legion of Iron seems to have ceased its advance forward into the remaining free City States. While some cite the recent formation of allied city states as the cause of this lack of action, yesterday's rocket launch shattered this assumption. Although initially assumed to be some form of long range ballistic missile, the craft's trajectory was towards the fifth planet in the system. Confirmed to be habitable by previous expeditions to the world, the local population is in a far more primitive state and banded together into tribes. While the possibility of the Legion recruiting these people to their cause, the slow pace of modern rocketry has dissuaded this concern. In a potentially related note, Allied scouts have noted several new expansions to the industrial sector of the Legion's capital, Pólisidírou. It is believed that this part of the city rests on top an ancient library once maintained by the Ancestors, and many are afraid that it is sector that is the source of the Legion's advanced technology. Experts hypothesize that if this is the case, it is very likely that the rocket launch to the fifth planet may be an attempt to find more libraries. A scramble has followed suite to try and pull together resources to send teams after the Legion forces..."

I have taken multiple samples of the dense soil in the region. It is rich in nutrients, great for farming. Grass like plains cover our field of view, allowing me to explore easily across the terrain. It is beautiful here, not that it is any better than Colagrio. I just have to adapt to walking more, like everyone else here.
The commander, Yabon Filly, had received orders to build a mine where he knew where resources were. Apparently some scouts had detected large resources, similar to what we have back in Colagrio. We needed these mines, helped us improve in technology. For me..these mines were not my side of expertise. I am a biologist, more so a geologist..no no, I don't know what I am. Just look at me as a researcher. Fulfilling the job as one is a great, I love my job. In fact I am going out to research today.
I'm taking the buggy with fuel and food. I snook behind the guards and in the vehicle bay and I pushed the buggy out of the bay without being noticed. I've ventured probably a mile away from the colony,no sign of any extraterrestrial technology. I have found a small part of a forest, as much as I want to go in I wont. The trees are very large, and its seems you can get lost very quickly, also I am unaware of any dangerous animals or lifeforms that may lie in there. Yes! I have found something. It seems to me metal fragments, do not know what is. I have gathered all the metal fragments and the seem to be a part of something bigger..a door? I was right, there is a metal door leading to inside a mountain. I am going in because there seems to be a hole in the door. This flashlight is great! I can see everything in this passageway, but I do not know where it is leading me too. I have found a room.. it seems to have some writing on it which I can not understand nor translate. It seems abandoned, I'm scared. The walls are covered in plants, it seems as this place has been untouched for years. What lies beneath these stone walls or further down the passageway, I cannot predict. I have been walking down the passage for a while now, it seems as it is never ending. The positioning of this alien facility, or more so place, is positioned through the mountain. The mountain seemed very wide, so I am going to guess my trip is going to get longer. I have found something else, something..beautiful. There is a room, a large one covered in shiny ores, I cannot identify what kind. I took one of the ores to inspects, they are large and heavy. Whoever covered this room with these things, they took a hell of a lot time. They look to be hand picked, authentic. I think I have found something else. There is a weapon of some sorts, it looks to be a projectile based launching system. A gun? I will keep it for further research. From what I can interpret, this is some sort of technological facility, it has many alien items and weapons and things of sorts. If I can bring back this information to the commander, maybe I'll finally get a real job as a scientist. Not some fake freelancing researcher who does it for the sake of it. It looks like I've hit a dead end, its been about 30 minutes since I've been in this passageway, time to head back. The mechanics in the vehicle bay do maintenance checks of all the buggy's and vehicles every afternoon, and I've gotten out o the facility and its starting to get dark. I think I'll stay here, I've got food and water, and besides its beautiful out here. Also, who know what else may be lying behind these walls and further down the passageway, maybe I can break it somehow, logging off for tonight.

The message was short and did not last much longer than a minute, but it was enough to turn the anguish of everyone, who expected news, into joy. In many places parties were celebrated after they reported on the success of the mission. Soon after, the Beetle ship, loaded with supplies to begin the mine, was launched. This day will be marked in history! A celebration is taking place in the main town of the Zavamaniry and will last 4 days.
