snicker-snack-swish-swoosh
Mossy dragon standing tall
No chortling today

Being at work dreams,
Hugging friends and colleagues close;
Awake now, it's Zoom.

*Someone sends to you
a diplomatic cable
from The Embassy*

Day to day I walk
My right hand covers my eyes
My left checks my pulse

Cuervos esperan
Máscaras nos esconden
Dentro del fuerte

The crows wait outside
As we hide beneath our masks
In crow proof bunkers

The grocery store
Feels like a hospital ward
Run by a madhouse

Been awhile since I visited, but sharing one I wrote and shared in my home region for Haikuesday:

Drying paint becomes,
as if by magic, a tree
forever in bloom

And through the painting:
painter's face is not beheld,
but rather, their heart

This poem you wrote
Warmed the cockles of my heart.
Much jubilation.

Let's all dance and sing
Said Joy with a carefree smile;
Thus Joy's granny died.

Joy denounced the end;
Granny's still alive and well
In Joy's memory.
