The Kufa Association of Law is a huge, sprawling complex, often admired for its sublime architecture inspired by the likes of Abbasid Baghdad and Nahrawan. For the people of Kufa it is a place of gathering and debate, a breeding ground of ideas and political movements. The climate is bustling with life, tense life, in a scene devoid of tranquility, there is a thirst for political salvation — for the people believe their politicians have sold them out.

Tragedy in Honduras
More than 50 have been rescued in poor weather near Cayo Gorda being one of the country worst maritime disaster of it's time.

Atleast 27 people have died and 9 reported missing after a lobster fishing boat capsized off the atlantic coast of Honduras due to poor weather becoming one of the country's worst accident at sea. A total of 55 people were rescued near puerto Lempira according to rescue authorities. The Carribean Commercial Fisherman's Association said nearby boats were also summoned to help pick up survivors.

President Nayib Bukele has declared 3 days of national mourn and expressed his feelings towards this tragedy via Twitter.

Vikslandian Response to the Ongoing Greco-Turkish Crisis

HELSINKI, UUSIMAA - Due to the ongoing political standoff between the Greek and Turkish governments, and recent racially charged attacks on Turkish residents in Greece, the Vikslandian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a travel warning to both Turkey and Greece. The travel warning to Turkey only warns people to exercise caution and follow the news closely if travelling around the Greater Selanik or Trakya regions. Similarly, the Greek travel warning advised people to exercise caution and follow the news closely if travelling in regions close to the Turkish border. It also advises tourists to not travel alone at night, and any Turkish or Middle-Eastern looking travelers should exercise extreme caution due to inflamed tensions.

President Korpela will be travelling to Paris, France next Friday for the EU Summit to discuss a multitude of issues and topics the EU is facing, one of them most likely being the ongoing crisis between the two nations. She was asked about the conflict earlier today, to which she responded with:

Korpela also had a phone call with President Aksener of Turkey to discuss the situation and wish for a peaceful resolution to the crisis.

"Soldier of Fortune Law" Being Deliberated in Parliament

HELSINKI, UUSIMAA - A group of MEPs belonging to the Patriotic People's Movement parliamentary group have set forth a draft for a law, already dubbed as the "Palkkasotilaslaki" ("Soldier of Fortune Law"), that would finally set the status of Soldiers of Fortune, or Mercenaries, in the Vikslandian law. So far, there are no laws regarding mercenary work, but the recent "Kiev Duo" situation has caused many MEPs and Military Officials to lobby for laws to be set regarding such work.

So far, the draft would make mercenary work illegal for any reservist unless approved by the regional offices of the Defence Forces. Reservists who join a Private Military Company would be released from their reservist status while working, so as to stop members of the Defence Forces working for foreign militaries. After ending their contract with the Private Military Company, the members will become reservists again. Establishing Private Military Companies would be allowed, as long as it provides necessary documents and information about it's activities to the Vikslandian government four times a year.

The Vikslandian Ministry of Defence did not respond to our requests for a comment regarding the draft of the law.

New Industrial Zone in Viipuri Bringing Thousands of New Jobs

VIIPURI, VIIPURI - An old initiative started by the previous government is starting to bear fruit as the Tammernummi Industrial Park has finally finished construction work and opened. So far both foreign and domestic companies have opened or expressed interest in opening factories, offices or storages within the new industrial zone, which is well connected to the Viipuri port and through it connected to the Baltic Sea.

Katri Kulmuni, the Vikslandian Minister of Economic Affairs, describes the new industrial park as a "resounding success, even though it has only just been opened, and we're thrilled to see our international partners bringing investments to Vikslandia". The industrial park's success is an important victory for the Vikslandian Agrarian League, whose support in Viipuri has been waning due to unsuccessful initiatives and some broken promises. If the park continues to be a long-term economic benefit for the region, it is likely to envigorate the party's support in the city and it's outskirts.

Nationalists Protest In Tuzla

At least 6,000 protesters gathered today in Tuzla protesting recent events in Greece, with many carrying Bosnian flags, and a small but noticeable amount carried Turkish flags. This was quickly intercepted by police, who attempted to violently disperse the protesters. This resulted in clashes between the two groups, and some of the protesters threw eggs, flares, and stones at the police. It was reported that the mayor of Tuzla, Jasmin Fejzic who was dining at a local restaurant had Kadaif thrown at her face after a protester reported she was there on popular social media platform Twitter:

500 protesters also gathered in front of the Tuzla Government Building and broke multiple windows. A group of people also climbed the nearby SODASO and placed a banner on top of it saying "STAND WITH TURKEY." The sign was removed after the protesters were violently removed from the area.

At around the same time, protesters blocked traffic in the city center and broke the windows of nearby cars. It was reported that, at the end of the protest 24 protesters and 18 police officers were injured.

While the ruling party has not released a statement on the protests and riots in Tuzla, the Bosnian Movement of National Pride commended the protesters, stating that the protests should "intimidate the Greek pigs." Some members of the Bosnian Party also commended them, while a few, most notably Osman Alic, condemned them. In response, the same protester that reported the location of Fejzic also called upon his fellow nationalists to "knock some sense into him."

The mayor of Tuzla is expected to be in hot water after the violent response to the protests, and many protesters were furious at her, with one who did not want to be named describing her as a Greek conspirator. Most, however, did not see her as that, just someone who was sympathetic to the Greek cause. Some protesters questioned declared that they will not stop.

Former İstanbul Mayor and Trabzonspor Manager Recep Tayyip Erdoğan slams Greece in Selanik

Speaking in Selanik after he visited the memorial for Esin Demir, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan wiping the tears from his eyes spoke to TRT. This also comes on the heels of the Grand National Assembly voting unanimously to request Presdent Akşener to declare a State of Emergency in rising tensions, which she did shortly after.

Military drills held across Ege

With rising tensions, and the Greek governments past violation of Turkish airspace, the Turkish Armed Forces were on full display showing off the power of the Turkish State. The Turkish Land Forces holding drills with West of Selanik, the Turkish Naval Forces took part in massive naval drills across the Ege in regions where the most activity of hostile forces has been seen. The Turkish Air Force joined both groups of their respective drills, showing off the unmatched mastery of the skies the Turkish people hold over its enemies. Chief of the General Staff Hulusi Akar oversaw the drills, referring them as a safety exercises as the Greeks have been itching for a war, and that this is a reminder that they are not fighting an equal.

President Milo Đudanović takes flight

Today at 7:25 PM, Central European Summer Time, President Milo Đudanović of Priobalni left for Ankara to meet with Turkish President Meral Akșener to discuss the recent killings of Montenegrins and Turks at the hand of extremist Greeks.

To avoid the dangers of flying over Greece, the president's plane is flying over Serbia and Bulgaria to reach the city of Ankara in Turkey's Central Anatolia region.

The government also released the names of the 16 bodies that were identified in the ethnic Greek riots in the southern cities of Ulcinj and Stari Bar - Montenegrins Vujaš Gojković, Ivan Đurić, Crnoje Karadaglić, Šoro Marović, Andro Čelebić, Ema Samardžić, Zorna Bulić, Pavka Radončić, Vidosava Zverotić, Turks Akman Bayramoglu, Melih Kurtulus, Sezen Dinc, Akca Orbay, Gozde Ozmert, Dincay Kalkan and Bosnian Meliha Matić. The other bodies were all to beat to be identified quickly.

Turkish-Montenegrin meeting

Today President Meral Akşener hosted President Milo Đudanović in Ankara, including a visit to Anıtkabir, where a series of topics were up for discussion ranging from the EU all the way to trade between Turkey and Montenegro. After a long and successful meeting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced what was discussed. First Turkey and Montenegro have agreed to sign a mutual defensive pact amidst current tensions, with Montenegro leasing a military base to the Turkish Armed Forces in Ropojana that can house around 7,500 Turkish soldiers. Next the two governments agreed to strengthen economic ties by granting tax incentives for Turkish business to open shop in Montenegro. And finally in a joint effort the Turkish government will begin working with the Montenegrin government, similar to how they have with the Bosnians, to help lift Montenegro up to EU standards so they to can join the Union. This increased cooperation has been welcomed by both governments, and will hopefully open more doors for increased cooperation between the Turkish government and other Balkan states.

FINANCE MINISTER PETROVIĆ CONFRONTED BY HEAD OF ECB OVER FUTURE ROLE OF STATE BANKS IN SERBIA

In his speech in Skupština, about the reforms that are planned to start before the end of 2019 and to last for the whole 2020, Finance Minister dr Palve Petrović informed the public that starting from January 1st 2020, all those who are saving in Serbian state banks and certain domestic banks would have the exact benefits in paying with cheques, as well as interest rate cuts when taking credits. The measure, that was seen as left populist agenda by opposition, was later called "an act of clear economic patriotism" by Prime Minister Adam Marković himself.

"Set of different reforms that we have implemented from the February this year made it possible for our state banking system to provide far more fair interest rates on credits and far more attractive conditions for all those who are saving their money in state banks. We saved certain money by reforming exactly those areas that needed to be refromed a year ago, and now is time to return saved money to our people, because the state is no more than the greatest service for its citizens." - Ministar Petrović said.

Then he got an immediately answer by dr Milorad Denin, also former Minister of Finance in Serbian Government (2010-2018) and current head of European Central Bank. In his statement made on press conference, Denin highly criticized proposed measures, and accused Serbian Finance Minister for destroying the atmosphere of healthy competition between state and private banks in Serbia and creating an area of low interest rate monopoly of state banks, that makes it costy for private banks to continue working.

"But not just in terms of creating an area of monopoly for state banks, this is a dangerous measure for Serbian economy itself. If you choose in the middle of the year to tell people that from start of next year they would be able to take far more attractive credits by state banks, then you are sending a message to them to sit and wait and do not take credits until January, and that way you are ruining your banking system, both state and private, for next 6 months, which would have serious implications on entire economy later." - concluded dr Denin.

For now, there was no answer made by Finance Minister Petrović nor Prime Minister Marković himself, but the news over confrontation between them and head of ECB Denin echoed loudly in Serbian press, leaving the question over the course of Marković reforms and their implications on Serbian economy.

The Pacific Alliance “Great White Duzza” opens

After it’s foundation last Spring, The Pacific Alliance has been a powerful fledging force in the world’s largest ocean. From the South China Disputes to the economic growth of Pacific nations, the alliance has benefited all who joined. Until recently, however, it hadn’t had a proper place to call home.

That was until today, when TPA Australian Ambassador and former Australian President Tony Abbott announced TPA’s new home, the ‘Great White Duzza.’

The Pacific Alliance Headquarters, coined Great White Duzza by the locals for its white appearance and location in Dutton Park, is situated on the northern banks of the Brisbane River in Brisbane’s inner southern suburbs. Located between the park the suburb is named after and a smaller nearby garden to the parks north, the new building will be home to the sitting Pacific Council, Defence Council, Economic Council, and Cultural Council, as well as other TPA head offices and head of operations.

The Great White Duzza will be taking over operations from a rented office building in Nightcliff, Darwin.

TPA is a military-economic alliance comprising of three nations. TPA’s motto translated from Latin, ‘Peace in the Pacific,’ greatly sums up the aims of the alliance, which hopes to guarantee peace in the Pacific, advance the economies and successes of member nations, and to set a good example for other nations, hopes to recruit more pacific nations and possibly observers. The Alliance, when formed, promised to never allow a superior power (US, China, and Russia) into the region, as the alliance believes that everyone needs a voice. The alliance currently consists of Australia, Indonesia, and Central America.
