The Sheikh Council has passed the Modern Republic Infrastructure Bill in anticipation of the street and highway building Connected Nations Program nearing its completion. The bill sets 5 trillion Baleers (250 Billion USD) over the course of three years to fund small and large infrastructure projects such as modernizing hospitals in population dense areas, building a better public transportation network, repairing bridges and roads from the previous regime, investments into the national power grid and alternative power sources, et.

One of the most notable sections of this bill includes adding a second nuclear reactor to the existing Bushehr facility and the construction of Dhan's second nuclear power plant, the Makran Coast Nuclear facility, that is located 45 Kilometers East of Chabahar.

Minister Fatema Yousef of the Ministry of Infrastructure has requested that the workers that have worked abroad for the projects of other nations compile reports on the possible setbacks to these Dhanian infrastructure projects.

Preliminary testing of the Warrior Platform future infantry combat system has shown promise amongst the initial testing units, but the PDF High Command, under consultation with various technical experts from various branches of the PDF, has greenlighted the further inclusion of an exoskeleton platform with an additional cost of $5 billion USD. The exoskeleton platform, which will be mounted to an individual soldier, are agile and non-powered. The exoskeletons are tailored to the harsh environment of high-altitude regions, but can be used in situations where aerial or land supply missions may face difficulties reaching their intended destinations due to challenging terrain. The exoskeleton is meant to save 5-10% of the energy expended in walking, climbing and carrying goods, 70-80% of the energy used in standing, and increase each soldier's individual load-carrying capacity.

The exoskeleton, dubbed the Tianshan Support Skeleton (TSS), is built from carbon fiber materials and weighs only about 4kg. The TSS can be equipped in less than a minute, and does not make use of any plastic components to counter the extreme cold and wear-and-tear risks. Built by the Far Eastern Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, it will take about 20 days to build a first batch of exoskeleton prototypes, with the first production samples to be introduced in 2 years. Priced at $7,565 USD each, the TSS will increase the Warrior Platform's unit cost from $5,300 USD to $12,865 USD, but it is anticipated that mass production will cut down production costs to $10,000 USD.

The current "Warrior Platform" system involves the application of cutting-edge technology to provide PDF troops with greater abilities to exercise their missions. Its components will include a variety of multipurpose items, including modern protective and communication devices, weapons, ammunition, as well as two-side camouflage sets, a backpack, means of radiological and chemical control, a medical kit, and filtering items. The current, tested components are two-sided aramid fibre camouflage coverings with Arctic/forest camouflage patterning based on the Xingkong/Starry Sky scheme, a Samsung-produced IP68 smartphone with a GOST R 50744-95 Class 3 backplate that can be used for linkage with C2 networks, a load-bearing vest with bullet-resistant plate inserts, a 60-litre Assault Pack with lumbar support to carry large pieces of equipment for long periods of time, a PVS-11K RDS, a PVS-04K Night Vision Scope, an attachable suppressor for an individual firearm, new lightweight polymer & reinforced-plastic magazines, a FL5 integrated flashlight/IR aiming laser/IR illuminator for an individual firearm, MoTaV style Body Armour with GOST R 50744-95 Class 6 boron carbide/titanium armour plate inserts, a new QGF11 Ballistic Helmet with a modular design and ergonomic helmet liner, an onboard medical kit, a hand-wound Geiger counter with iodine supplements, new dust-resistant anti-fragmenting impact goggles, a combat shirt with improved breathability and moisture-wicking fabrics, along with new insertable knee pads and shin pads.

Chosun SSR to discontinue single-use foodstuffs containers

KUM-SOK CITY — The Chosun SSR People's Government has pledged to eliminate all single-use foodstuffs containers within 5 years across the entire territory, by implementing the widespread use of reusable and renewable containers as part of the nation's “resource positive” push. To do so, the People's Government has ordered manufacturers of disposable foodstuffs packaging and containers to take the "adequate steps necessary" to actualise this goal, and bring such solutions into production as soon as possible.

This bold new sustainability and environmental impact plan will slash packaging and water waste across the entire foodstuffs industry by ~15%. The government-owned rePAPER enterprise, which produces 100% recyclable foodstuffs container materials, will provide production licenses of its materials to over 500 packaging manufacturers across the Chosun SSR, free of charge, while rePAPER itself will engage in the competitive manufacturing of its products as well. Additionally, various companies based in the nation will begin introducing circular models to promote the adoption of reusables.

For instance, starting from this summer, the Hite, Oriental, and Taedonggang breweries will launch a container deposit programme for cans and bottles at supermarkets, along with a metal recycling campaign to recycle used crown seals through a voluntary bottle cap deposit system at licensed vendors. Additionally, over 600 restaurants at 6 cities across the territory have launched a ‘borrow a cup’ program that would allow customers to get their drinks in a cup they can return for rewards. Samyang Food, a notable food manufacturing company within the region, has committed to use recycled materials for its food packaging.

Other environmentally conscious measures include the reduction of carbon emissions by various retail vendors across the country, who have pledged to renovate brick-and-mortar stores with energy-efficient technologies, such as LED bulbs or solar-powered air conditioners, and eco-friendly building materials.

The High Speed Railways from Dortmund to Hannover will be reconstructed to be able to run 300km/h this will cut times by 1 hour and 30 minutes. The project will cost 5 billion 490 million dollars.

Ministry Of Foreign Affairs

After a productive summit in Jeddah, the heads of State of The arab-african republic of egypt, The mashriq khilafat, and Eulumia came to a historic agreement to form the Global Muslim League.

The Global Muslim League shall be an organization aimed to be the collective voice of the Islamic world and to safeguard the interests and ambitions of the Islamic world in the spirit of promoting the true and correct vision of the Qu'ran of peace and harmony among the great Muslim people. It shall not have divisions based on sectarianism, but will be a true unified voice for the betterment of the Islamic Ummah. All Member States shall have an equal voice, and a summit, like the one held in Jeddah, will be held annually in one of the Member States.

The decision to create the Global Muslim League came after long discussions between the heads of states that centered around the rise of radical Islamic thought, that defamed and corrupted the true vision of Islam that promotes unity, peace, and tolerance at it's core.

Speaking in the Summit, Interim President Shawqi stated "We are today faced with a great danger, a danger that has been facing us ever since the early 20th. That danger is the danger of reactionary islamist thought. We have seen what happened in Egypt and many other states when these reactionary elements managed to gain power, we need to combat these reactionary thoughts that promote violence, and that starts by promoting Islamic thought that echos the actual teachings of the Qu'ran. Which is peaceful coexistence and unity above all."

Work on Dubai Hilal Waterfront resumes

Dubai | 14 April : After initial suspension in 2008 due to the global economic crisis, work on the waterfront has resumed again, after approval from His Excellency Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Leader of the Faithful Khalifa Muhammad bin Omar Aladeen and the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure & Development.

The Dubai Hilal Waterfront is expected to become the largest waterfront and largest man-made development in the world. The project is a conglomeration of canals and artificial archipelago; it will occupy the last remaining Persian Gulf coastline of the Emirate of Dubai. It will consist of a series of zones with mixed use including commercial, residential, resort, and amenity areas. The vision of the project is "to create a world-class destination for residents, visitors and businesses in the world's fastest growing city".

Waterfront is now being developed by , one of the world's largest real estate developers. The artificial islands would be formed to resemble the most widely recognized symbol of Islam, the star and crescent. This would produce a shelter around the Palm Jebel Ali, one of the two Palm Islands.

Waterfront is planned to add more than 70 kilometres to Dubai's coastline and encompass an area of 130,000,000 square metres (1.4×109 sq ft) of water and land developments. It is expected to house an estimated population of 1.5 million people.

Located near the new Al Maktoum International Airport, and with direct access to Sheikh Zayed Road, Jebel Ali Freezone, and Abu Dhabi, the city would be fully accessible on a local and international scale.

The hub of the development would be along the shoreline, stretching in-land to offer a range of residences, commercial districts and industrial areas, with a number of major tourist attractions and leisure amenities. Extending from the coastline into the Persian Gulf would be a series of connected islands featuring villas and high-end accommodation.

The plan consists of 10 key areas including Madinat Al Arab, expected to become the new downtown and central business district of Dubai. Madinat Al Arab was developed by an international consortium of architects, planners and urban developers featuring resorts, retail, commercial spaces, public spaces, a broad mix of residencies and an integrated transport system including light rail and a road network.

Other key zones include Al Ras, Corniche, The Riviera, The Palm Boulevard, The Peninsula, Uptown, Downtown, Boulevard, and The Exchange.

Major civil works and infrastructure commenced on the first phase of Madinat Al Arab. Construction of the 8.0 kilometer Palm Cove Canal, which runs parallel to the coastline, began in February 2007 and was more than 65 per cent complete before the project was suspended. Now with the resumption of the project, it is set to complete soon.

The first phase of Madinat Al Arab (30%) was unveiled to private property and investment institutions from the Caliphate in July 2005. Within five days, it had been completely sold out, for over 13 billion AED (3.54 trillion USD). When the project is complete, foreign investments are being invited in the waterways, with MARCO POLO Inc., a joint venture between the oil company and infrastructure company, who now have purchased the Dubai Waterways Company which is incharge of the site, owning 51% of the stakes.

Far Eastern Reserve Bank: The Results of Corporate Deleveraging

SHUNTIAN — The Far Eastern Reserve Bank (FERB) has announced new policies aimed at curbing debt and to deleverage the corporate sector just last night as part of its wider deleveraging campaign to improve the financial health of the FEUSSR economy.

Previously, the Reserve Bank had employed a variety of techniques to minimise financial risks, such as standardising the country's credit rating agencies or imposing limits on bank lending to property developers. Initially targeted at property developers, the campaign gradually spread to cover various other sectors, prompting property developers and various firms to cut leverage, spin off non-core assets, and bolster balance sheets by raising equity for affiliates. The deleveraging process is occurring faster than market expectations, as many firms remain driven by a combination of intention to meet regulatory requirements, and are further incentivised due to the tightening of credit from borrowers. Companies that deleverage and cut risks down face less hurdles when negotiating with financial institutions, which is extremely desirable.

Most property developers showed the biggest improvement in the ratio of their cash to short-term debt, while the number of companies breaching the liquidity gauge shrank 64% from half a year earlier. This was done through cutbacks on land purchases, the extension of debt maturities, and cutting down on borrowings. However, there remain 30 major firms that continued to struggle with the ratio of liabilities and assets.

To furthermore cut down on debt, FERB has requested various steelmakers across the FEUSSR, such as Ansteel, to re-assess production levels to make steel products more profitable, prevent overproduction, and nurse the steelmaking industry away from a glut so it can become marketable once more. Similarly, it has asked heavy industry groups such as DSME and HHI to spin off unprofitable affiliates to consolidate its financial state.

The World islands are composed mainly of sand dredged from Dubai's shallow coastal waters, and are one of several artificial island developments in Dubai. The World's developer was Nakheel Properties, but is now in the hand of several state-owned companies. The construction was done by two Dutch (joint venture) specialist companies, Van Oord and Boskalis. The same companies also created the Palm Jumeirah.

Construction of the 300 islands began in 2003, before halting due to the 2008 financial crisis. Though 60 percent of the islands were sold to private contractors in 2008, development on most of the islands has failed to initiate. Only the Lebanon island and the Heart of Europe islands have been developed and are the only islands that have so far been developed commercially, being used for private corporate events and public parties.

v) The Arabian Canal: The Arabian Canal is a planned 75 km man-made canal in Dubai. The canal construction plan was on hold until today. The canal begins at the Dubai Marina, where some excavation has begun, and will go round the Al Maktoum International Airport before entering the sea again at the outer end of Palm Jebel Ali. The primary canal design and planning is being done by the Dubai based private company Limitless.

Calthorpe Associates and Barrows Construction Inc. have investments in this project, along with TD Group US Holdings LLC and JPMorgan Chase & Co., who fund part of the work with loans numbering in a few billions. Equipment for the construction of the canal is being brought from Imperial Eagle, while ensuring all safety measures and work ethics are followed along with local customs and traditions.

Subject: Asian University Students Mobility Program and other projects

The Ministry of Education of the ROC would be happy to propose the creation of a project to implement the movement of university students of Asia, to give the possibility for students to study or do an internship in a member of the Union for a period ranging from from 3 to 12 months.
The basic idea is that, by studying abroad, students can improve their communication skills, knowledge of foreign languages and intercultural skills, which are particularly appreciated by future employers. In addition, the comparison between different education systems enriches students, providing them with new perspectives and useful insights for their educational path.
In case of your acceptance we will be happy to organize a summit to discuss the matter further.
We also propose the creation of a common fund to subsidize projects in the educational field: the Asian Youth Found, for which China has an initial budget of 2.4 billion yuan (380 million dollars).
Still in the field of science and education, the ROC formally appointed Dr. Emma Lin, a graduate in computer science from Zhejiang University of Technology as Chinese representative to the Pan-Asian Scientific Ethics Committee.

Waiting for your reply, please accept my best regards.

Ministry of Education - AU Communique

The Ministry of Education of the FEUSSR wholeheartedly endorses the creation of the Asian University Students Mobility Program (AUSMP), alongside the Asian Youth Fund (AYF).

The AUSMP is an exchange program meant to support education, training, youth and sport within the AU. Additionally, AUSMP students can participate in internships and/or professional networking opportunities as part of the provisions stipulated within the Asian Union Closer Economic Relations (AUCER/AUER).

A standardisation process with regards to academic credits will proceed, allowing academic credits earned by AUSMP students during their time abroad to count towards one's qualification. The system works by providing free movement and education exchange between a compendium of registered universities and institutions for eligible students, and AUSMP students are not required to pay extra tuition fees or payments to the university they end up attending overseas. The FEUSSR will pledge $5 billion USP towards the AUSMP budget, and the following institutions will formally participate in the programme:

Varkia-sologaria

It has now been 3 weeks since the election. Blue Harper is in the Executive Headquarters, he is catching up on all the latest happenings in the world of Geopolity. It has been not a very easy transition of power. After he won, Charles Hoenn had declared the election illegitimate and tried to convince the National High Courts that the election was illegitimate but instead was banished from politics for this maneuver. Then, he had to endure 6 attempts on his life from both left-wing and far-right Varkian and Sologarai ultranationalists. He knows he will soon have to find a way to heal the country but first, he must pull the country out of an ever growing recession. Blue Harper looks out his window... maybe... just maybe...

He asks that his Head Diplomat of External Affairs', Joseph Ono to come to his office. "Yes, my Arch-Chancellor?" Asked Joseph when he stepped into his office. "I want you to go to the nation of Far eastern union of soviet republics and ask them about something I am planning on doing. Tell them that if they have time... if they would like to set up an alliance between our two nations." Said Blue. "What kind sir?" Asked Joseph. "... All encompassing. Economics, Political, Military, Cultural, Immigration, Trade, Technological, Scientific. All of that." Said Blue Harper. "... I will send them a telegram at once sir." Said Joseph walking out of the office. If their Supreme Leader agrees, it could become the start of another plan in the back of Blue Harper's mind...

... a Geopolity Union... but that is for later.
