The Hellenes League wrote:Master Sgt. Alekos stirs in his sleep. He is dreaming of the woman he saw in his binoculars. Suddenly a buzzing noise brings him out of his sleep.

“Honey, your phone has been buzzing nonstop for 5 minutes. I thought you wouldn’t wake.” His wife says, smiling and holding a cup of tea for him. “What could have kept you asleep?”

“I was dreaming of the first time I saw you...and how you saw me. My cover was perfect.” Alekos cheekily says, sipping his tea.

“It wasn’t that good. I could see you coming from a mile away. Now, get moving soldier. Drink your tea, they need you. But come back, because I need you.” His wife says softly.

Alekos moves the curled hair from her face and kisses her. Shortly after he gets dressed and calls his commander.

“Time to go to Montana, Bulgaria. We have a mission.”

Bayburt, Mehmed Republic

Master Sergeant Alekos and his team make their way to the perimeter of a house after having landed just outside the city in helicopters. It’s the dead of night.

The team ensure the perimeter is secure and they kill the lights. The door is pushed open, flash bangs thrown in through the door and a side window, and the team rushes in.

4 shots are fired as they move through the first room, a living room of sorts. A picture of the President of the Mehmed Republic hangs on the wall, now covered in blood. They move to the next room.

3 shots are fired this time dropping three men to the ground. One of them holds an AK, another holds a copy of the Quran. They move onto a hallway.

2 shots are fired. Two men drop, and had been guarding a door to what may be an office or bedroom. Alekos motions for a stack on the door. They kick it down and a flash bang is thrown in.

1 shot is fired. A man alone in his room, sitting at a desk in front of computer monitors. Temel, newly elected leader of the Janissary is dead.

The men move through the house, taking photos, laptops, cell phones anything else with information and leave. A HAI Dory drone flies overhead and drops three bombs on the house, leaving debris and a massive fire.

Grand Parliament of the Brotherly Union
Delegation

Title: Bill to Prioritize and Restore Power toward the Grand Parliament

Preamble: The vast majority of MP's in the Grand Parliament of the Brotherly Union (including current Prime Minister Christian Busk) have concluded that the lack of precedence the Grand Parliament of the Brotherly Union holds renders both the Parliament and the state itself redundant. Considering the fact that local governments of nations within the Brotherly Union's laws and governance take precedence over our government and Parliament's laws and governance; a large portion of the nation believes this to render this very parliament irrelevant. The concessions toward the local governments in previous bills passed by this Parliament are hereby to be reversed, and government laws are to take full precedence over local laws.

Be it enacted by the Grand Parliament of the Brotherly Union with the consent of The Honourable President Rasmus Sinclair:

Section I

  1. Repeal Bill B-1, or the Bill to Encourage Unity & Repeal Bill A-20

  2. Render the Supreme Court of the Brotherly Union Between Sweden, Norway and Denmark the highest body of law in our Union; and the only body of law that can decide matters of national Security and Prosperity

  3. Revoke local nation's ability to over-ride laws passed by our government, allowing laws and Bills passed by the Grand Parliament of the Brotherly Union to be effectively enforced upon all nations within

Section II

  1. Grant the Prime Minister of the Brotherly Union Between Sweden, Norway and Denmark the ability to create and distribute Bills in the Grand Parliament of the Brotherly Union

  2. Grant the Prime Minister of the Brotherly Union Between Sweden, Norway and Denmark the ability to, with the consent of the Scandinavian Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Diplomatic Endeavours, solely manage diplomatic and foreign affairs and represent the country on the international stage.

  3. Grant the Prime Minister of the Brotherly Union Between Sweden, Norway and Denmark the ability to, in times of great crisis, declare a National State of Emergency, giving the Prime Minister emergency power*

Section III

  1. This bill shall take effect immediately if passed by the Grand Parliament of the Brotherly Union

Section IV

  1. Ensure that elections for local MP's to represent a particular district in the Grand Parliament of the Brotherly Union shall be held every 6 years

  2. Guarantee that the position of Prime Minister shall only be held by the leader of the Party with the most representatives within the Grand Parliament

  3. Guarantee that the position of Prime Minister shall be appointed by the Grand Parliament by emergency vote after every Parliamentary election

  4. Guarantee the right for the Parliament to convene at any time and hold a vote of no confidence on either the President or Prime Minister if the Parliament believes that the Prime Minister or President is not fulfilling their duties, or finds any inconsistencies or irregularities they believe can, will or is impeding their ability to hold the position

  5. Establish the Prime Minister as the official Head of Government, and the President as the official Head of State

White House official announcement regarding recent events in Panama

To the nations of the world and people of the Union. As you have likely learned, recent events in Panama have now come to an end following a limited operation against the now fallen government of President Juan Cortizo. This operation was carried out to ensure the flow of goods through the Canal went unimpeded. As a result of the this operation, it was decided that the city and metro region of Panama City be absorbed into the greater Panama Canal zone and territory of New Columbia. though the city's annexation is not yet official as Congress has yet to meet on the matter and ratify the treaty agreement that has been reached with Republic of Panama, it's citizens are now subject to Union law and aid will now flow into the city to get things back in order. This includes the cleaning of the city slum via investments and upgrades, mass law enforcement by Army troops to end the drug trade in the city until a new police force can be raised and government assistance to the city's population to apply for new tax forms and tie the city's mailing system to the rest of the Union. It will be a long road but once completed, Panama City shall reclaim it's rightful as the shining jewel of Central America and never again ant for anything again.

As the chamber convenes, hundreds of MP's from all across the nation flood into the building. These MP's proceed take their seats, the Prime Minister sits in his chair, and the President arrives a few minutes later. All seems normal, with quiet and non-distinct chatter between various MP's about various topics, and the Prime Minister and President discussing various issues, presumably related to the bill being proposed. After roughly ~10 minutes of this, MP to Fredrikstad's 1st District and author of Bill B-7, Finn Aspen, stands up and addresses the parliament.

"My friends," he begins. "The parliament has been summoned today to vote on a bill that has been long overdue. This bill I propose today, i-it's nothing new. We've talked amongst ourselves about this topic for years, and yet not one of us has dared write it. I have decided to change that. This bill, Bill B-7, seeks to address and change the simple fact that this parliament, as it stands right now, is innate and powerless. Simply a figurehead, a relic of times long past. Our power was limited many years ago by Bill B-1, a bill that utterly neutered our capacity to function as a capable, efficient and working government. It is my personal belief that this bill was 'overkill'. The Union was on the verge of splitting, and our parliament voted to completely dissolve any power it had at any point in order to grant more individual power to the states. This did save the Union, and I give credit to the authors of Bill B-1 for saving this country as we know it; but the solution they came up with has prevented our Brotherly Union from efficiently governing, effectively turning this government and it's leaders into figureheads, with all actual legal power going solely to the nations that are supposed to be a part of our Union, not ruling it."

Finn's passionate speech was well received by the parliament, with thunderous applause erupting as he once again took his seat. Shortly after this, Prime Minister Christian Busk stood up to address the parliament.

"Thank you, Representative Aspen. As Prime Minister and leader of the United Left, I tend to believe that people hold my opinion on a higher pedestal than an average MP... however, I could not speak with such conviction and passion, myself. I'm not the greatest speaker... Ironic, isn't it? The speaker of the parliament, not a great speaker..." He clears his throat. "Anyways, I think it's time to open the floor to any potential opponents to the bill. I trust you all used the time before this meeting effectively, and thoroughly read the bill. The floor is now open."

For the first few seconds, nobody seems to have any significant opposition. There are a few murmurs from across the chamber, however nobody stands up or offers much of anything, until an MP from Kalmar, the capital of the Union, stands up to address the parliament.

"I'd like to address the parliament. I thoroughly believe-". He's interrupted before he gets anywhere, interrupted by a different MP, also representing a different district of Kalmar. "I'd like to stop you right there. I already-". The original MP begins speaking again. "No no... I... I already... I know...". Unfortunately, he can't get a word in edge-wise. The two break out into full argument, speaking over eachother and generally being rude and disruptive. Prime Minister Busk steps in.

"Enough! ENOUGH!" He yells. "I've had enough of this... Please, can you let the MP from Kalmar's 3rd District speak?!".

"As I was trying to say. I thoroughly believe that the Union itself is not a nation, but a collective representation of the three nations within it-- the current state of this parliament represents this well, and I'd like it to stay that way. This bill offers far too much power to the government..."

Although the chamber isn't as elated as with Finn Aspen's speech, a small portion of the chamber seems moved by his statement. As debate rages, the debate gets more and more heated. Despite the original goal being to vote on the bill this session, PM Busk instead opted to suspend the session to let cooler heads prevail. However, judging simply by initial impressions, cheers, applause and nods, it seemed that the parliament was overwhemingly in favour of signing Bill B-7 into law.

However, we'll have to wait and see if that's truly the case...

Magnetic Nanoparticles can be Manipulated to Destroy Cancer Cells recent research shows

Researchers from the Frederick Douglass Scientific and Educational Center 'Smart Materials and Biomedical Applications' have performed a joint interdisciplinary research work on the development of a novel approach for treating leukemia through nanomaterials. The research team was headed by Samuel Thurston was also assisted by collaborators from the Center for Immunology and Cellular Biotechnology from the Charles Darwin University. The researchers investigated how magnetic nanoparticles can be exploited in in vitro environments to obtain a selective antitumor effect. The new technique is built on the combined effect of permanent magnetic fields and nanoparticles on human cancer cells.

Leukemia, also called lymphoblastic leukemia, is known to be the most common type of blood cancer in adolescents and children. This medical condition impacts the bone marrow and causes the degradation of the immune system in humans. It is responsible for causing 75% to 80% of acute leukemia, which also impacts adults.

Existing techniques for treating leukemia are built on chemotherapy; however, chemotherapy is very costly and while it is toxic to tumor cells, it can also affect the entire human body. Hence, to overcome these barriers, new strategies utilizing nanomaterials are urgently required. In their new study, the team applied continuous magnetic fields and magnetic nanoparticles.

For their analysis, the researchers also used magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles, since they offer a potential basis for developing biomedical applications.

These are biocompatible materials and can be altered in the days to come, for instance, they can be covered with numerous shells and can also be modified with fluorescent labels (for microscopic techniques). To design targeted antitumor medications, the impact of the material utilized both on the tumors and the healthy cells of the body need to be studied. Mononuclear cells—the first cell line of human blood—were used as a model of healthy cells. Human lymphoblastic leukemia cells are the second cell line under the unique name, called “Jurkat.”

The researchers, therefore, were able to concurrently analyze the effects of nanoparticles and magnetic fields on both cancerous and healthy human cells. They used permanent magnets, which were attached in a fixed position in culture plates, as sources of the magnetic field.

Next, they supported the permanent magnets to avoid any displacement at the time of the experiments.

After all the required components were placed, the culture plates containing the cells were also positioned on top of the plates—this approach ensured that magnetic fields are evenly distributed on the surface of the plates comprising the wells with the cells.

The study results demonstrated that the combined action of magnetic fields and nanoparticles after a treatment of 24 hours affected the Jurkat cells—that is, their viability was reduced. It was observed that iron oxides enter the tumor cells and trigger the discharge of reactive oxygen species, disturbing cellular processes.

In particular, researchers were interested in the fact this “therapy” did not suppress the healthy cells (human blood mononuclear cells) in any way.

"Thus, the use of nanoparticles based on iron oxides with optimized characteristics (shape, size, chemical composition) will allow in the future to achieve a therapeutic effect by generating reactive oxygen species in cancer cells. The difference in the susceptibility of healthy body cells and tumor cells to the effects of nanoparticles will provide a selective therapeutic effect and, therefore, minimize side effects." Dr. Robert Downing stated in an interview. Dr. Downing is Dean of Charles Darwin University.

Dr. Thurston also had this to say

"The interdisciplinary approach in this study, namely, the joint work of scientists from various scientific fields, allowed us to demonstrate the interaction of these nanomaterials with cell cultures and, thus, to reveal the potential application significance of our developments. We also express our deep gratitude to our collaborators"

The research is open to any nation that wishes to take part and will go a long way to finding ways to either curb or outright cure different forms of cancer. Nations that are interested need only to contact either Dr. Thurston or Dr. Downing.

The MFA of the FEUSSR will attend the UAN session.

The FEUSSR proposes a motion to enact the following sanctions on Orange-Bourgogne from all UAN member states:

    embargoing of arms and related materials to the UKOB;
    bans on the export of aviation and rocket fuel to the UKOB;
    bans on the trade of gold, oil, precious metals, and diamonds with the UKOB or associated entities;
    bans on the export of luxury goods to the UKOB;
    restrictions on financial support for trade with the UKOB via the freezing of UKOB-owned assets, the removal of public subsidies for companies of the UKOB, or further;
    restrictions on FDI towards the UKOB via limitations in the share of companies' equity capital across the board, and/or nationalisations and expropriations of UKOB assets as recompense for stolen goods;
    and the prohibition of certain UKOB individuals from entering the territories of UAN member states.

This is due to the imperialist theft and/or pillaging of the following national treasures and/or cultural artefacts:

  • The burning of the Old Summer Palace, an intangible, irreplaceable cultural artefact that was destroyed in the name of European greed;

  • The looting of the Haiyantang Zodiac fountain with its 12 bronze animal heads (currently in the Musée Chinois of the Palace of Fontainebleau, Labyrnna - the heads of the rabbit and rats were returned to the National Museum);

  • The burning of bronze vessels, daring back to the Shang, Zhou and Han dynasties that were up to 3,600 years old in 1860;

  • The Forty Scenes of the Yuanmingyuan (currently in the Bibliothèque nationale de France, Labyrnna);

  • The Admonitions of the Court Instructress;

  • $20 billion USD in reparations and restitution as recompense for looting by the British Legation in the Boxer Rebellion of 1900;

  • Around 1.6 million looted Qing antiquities which currently reside in museums across the world, with more than half (~0.8 million) from the Old Summer Palace itself;

  • and other looted antiquities yet to be named or identified.

"One day two bandits entered the Summer Palace. One plundered, the other burned. Victory can be a thieving woman, or so it seems. The devastation of the Summer Palace was accomplished by the two victors acting jointly. Mixed up in all this is the name of Elgin, which inevitably calls to mind the Parthenon. What was done to the Parthenon was done to the Summer Palace, more thoroughly and better, so that nothing of it should be left. All the treasures of all our cathedrals put together could not equal this formidable and splendid museum of the Orient. It contained not only masterpieces of art, but masses of jewelry. What a great exploit, what a windfall! One of the two victors filled his pockets; when the other saw this he filled his coffers. And back they came to Europe, arm in arm, laughing away. Such is the story of the two bandits.

We Europeans are the civilized ones, and for us the [Qing] are the barbarians. This is what civilization has done to barbarism."

- Victor Hugo

Statement from the Imperial Federation

The injustices committed by the European colonists, Orange-Bourgogne chiefly among them, are great. Their unjust possession of cultural artefacts that belong to other people can in no way be justified and should immediately be returned. The Imperial Federation also recognizes the well-presented list of outrages that were committed in the name of 'civilization.' The United Kingdom should be compelled to return its stolen posessions to the respective owners, be they Indian, Chinese, Greek, or from any other corner in the world.

Nonetheless, there remain objections to this resolution. While the United Kingdom was a major force in colonial looting, they were far from its only participant. While the Imperial Federation strongly supports the creation of a committee to redress past wrongs, the exclusive targetting of the United Kingdom is unjustified. Moreover, the sanctions presented by the Far Eastern Union are far beyond proportion. These embargoes will hurt the people of the United Kingdom more than it will hurt the government or the museums that are responsible for the past wrongs. Targeting individuals to make up for the mistakes and crimes of their ancestors is in Infinian eyes both illegocial and morally reprehensible. An alternative set of measures should be proposed.

The Imperial Federation shall not support these sanctions in their current form.

Hospitals and clinics in Athens and Byzantium will be participating in an exercise over the next several weeks to help determine large city response to disease outbreaks.

The simulation will include a novel flu virus with a mortality rate of 3.5% with a peak mortality rate of 10%.

This exercise will help determine the hospitals ability to respond to an event like this. Ability to diagnose, isolate and treat will be examined. Additionally city services will be examined to see how they handle cases that do not make it to the hospital or those who are sent home. At home monitoring of patients will be included. Additionally contact tracing will be a crucial part of this program. Identifying cases, tracing who they were around is the difference between holding a virus back and having the flood gates open. Mask wearing in public will also be looked at.

500,000 people have volunteered to be patients, 250,000 in each city. Though open participation is encouraged.

This exercise will help examine Hellenic ability to respond and find areas we need to invest in to improve responses.

FEUSSR's economy poised to grow 8% next year from Juche Year 2

SHUNTIAN — Almost 2 years have passed since the FEUSSR's founding, and the nation's gross domestic product (GDP) is poised to expand by 8% in Juche Year 3 as the country continues to rebound from previous years of recession.

In pursuing development last year, the FEUSSR was given many helping hands. Economic growth was weak but due to improve rapidly. The country was also aided by good international economic and trade relationships with her fellow AU comrades, along with upwards pressure on the domestic economy. The Party Central Committee with our beloved comrade Kum Jing-In at its core rallied the nation's people and led them in surmounting difficulties and accomplishing the year’s main targets and tasks, thus laying the crucial foundation needed to reach the goal of building a modern socialist state.

This speed of recovery would not mean that the country has returned to a high-growth period as it would be from a low base in Year 2, when the country's economy grew by a measly 1.9%. However, for the remaining years it is expected that decent rates of growth, ranging from 5-7% could be attained, due to the renewed emphasis on quality growth and improved worker productivity.

The economic structure of the country continues to improve, with consumption - both physical and online - acting as the main engine of growth. Advanced manufacturing and modern services - such as fintech, semiconductors, precision manufacturing, and aviation - registered rapid growth. Emerging industries continued to grow; upgrading in traditional industries accelerated. Business startups and innovation continued to surge nationwide, with an average net increase of over 7,000 businesses per day, aided by the Startup Subsidy Plan. Tax revenues are expected to rise in accordance to economic growth, netting an increase by 5%.

The FEUP's work report states that future economic plans will center around "stabilizing employment through the coordinated use of fiscal, monetary, and investment policies". The government will strive to keep existing jobs secure, work actively to create new ones, and help unemployed people find work via the JobSeekers programme. Additionally, the payment of corporate income taxes by micro and small businesses and self-employed individuals will be postponed to next year. The Ministry of Works will renovating 19,000 old urban residential communities and support upgrades to plumbing and wiring, as well as the installation of elevators in older residential buildings. The MoW will also encouraging the development of local community services such as elderly care, free meals for disadvantaged communities, and so on.

Red Bull GmbH Enters the Ussuri SSR

YIMAN — The small town of 27,000 will be welcoming a new bottling plant, after the local city government signed an agreement that would see Red Bull GmbH expand into the wider FEUSSR's burgeoning market.

The Ussuri SSR people's government has welcomed the new bottling plant, which will employ 500 locals and churn out thousands of cases of Simply Cola, the Carpe Diem range of herbal soft beverages, and the company's ubiquitous Red Bull energy drink for distribution locally. Domestic production permits the drinks to be manufactured in larger amounts and sold without taxes, which would increase revenues for the multinational company, particularly due to the under-penetrated energy drinks market in the Nanqiandao, Beihaidao, Sakhalin, Amur, and Ussuri SSRs. In addition, the city government has announced the acquisition of a 10% stake in the company in a "mutually beneficial transaction" that would significantly boost both stakeholders' fiscal condition within the FEUSSR in the near future.

A proposal that has existed for a long time, The Morava-Danube-Vadar canal will come into existence. Named the “Balkan Unity Canal”, this new canal will connect Thessaloniki to Belgrade via a waterway.

This waterway will shorten the time for goods to reach inland Europe by a significant amount. This project will also spur development not just in The Hellenic League interior, but in Donau-Bundesreich.

It has been determined that such a route will not interfere with current cargo traffic coming through the Byzantine Strait and Canal as shipping increases annually into the Black Sea.

This project will be a project headed by both Hellenic and Danubian agencies with investments being split 50/50 on both sides. Such a project not only helps spur further economic expansion, but also highlights the unique and special relationship that Hellas and Danubia have fostered. Balkan investments such as this push Eastern Europe and the Balkans further into focus and to help develop the region as a whole into a true economic powerhouse.

VinFast and NIO to expand overseas

HAIPHONG — VinFast, an Indochinese private automotive startup, has announced the beginnings of its first overseas Asian production facility as the company seeks to expand into the FEUSSR's massive automotive market.

In a groundbreaking ceremony in Haicheng, the new plant is expected to be complete in 3 years' time, being part of a brownfield redevelopment project within the city. The plant will be a 'green-powered', eco-friendly facility, with most of its power to be sourced from solar facilities as a means to promote eco-friendly manufacturing. The local city government has welcomed the new plant, which will employ 1,000 locals, and be capable of producing up to 100,000 vehicles per annum of varying make and model. Domestic production permits the vehicles to be manufactured in larger amounts and sold without taxes, which would increase revenues for the multinational company.

NIO, an electric vehicles startup based in Shencheng, has also announced its expansion into the CIS by greenlighting the construction of an assembly plant in Chonburi. Its Chonburi plant, labelled the NIO Megafactory, will serve as an organized attempt to rapidly industrialise, provide employment, and increase economic productivity within the CIS. It functions as a self-contained complex of commercial, residential, and industrial buildings, comprising of a 600,000m² 'Commercial' section and an 800,000m² 'Industrial' section.

The 'Commercial' section is planned to include 5 office buildings, each which include 120 offices spread out over 20 storeys, various conference rooms, spaces for 40 restaurants and over 80 shops, 4 convention halls, a 'green' urban park, a 10-storey hotel with 160 rooms, 1 movie cinema, 1 shopping mall (with 120 shops), 1 500-car capacity car park, and 1 swimming pool. Meanwhile, the 'Industrial' section will include 8 factory complexes, each 100,000m² in size, which can be sold or leased to businesses. Upon its completion in 4 years at a cost of $15 billion USP, it is expected that it will massively contribute to the local economy, and provide job opportunities for around 100,000 workers directly and indirectly. To promote a 'green manufacturing' push, the NIO plant will have over 2,000m² worth of solar panels on the roofs of the different buildings in the complex to provide clean energy to the complex.

Kum Jing-In (Hanja: 金京銀) is a socialist revolutionary who founded the Far Eastern Union of Soviet Republics, which he ruled as the Supreme Leader and the Chairman of the ruling FEUP from its establishment in 2020 onwards.

Kum holds the titles of Chairman of the FEUP. He is also the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Supreme Soviet, the highest decision-making body in the FEUSSR. He has a position as Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and is referred to by local media as the "Beloved" or "Dear Leader". He has promoted the policy of Mogpyo-Juche, which was authored by him, referring to the simultaneous development of both the economy, nationalistic culture, and the military.

His leadership has engaged in a massive cult of personality, although he has also presided over an expansion of the consumer economy, massive construction projects, and greater militarisation. He took part in a diplomatic process, meeting with leaders of Eulumia, Duma, and Vashnal to create the Asian Union. Under his rule, he has also ordered the purge of religious extremists and criminals in the FEUSSR, a move labelled by Orange-Bourgogne and Romanovskaya as "tyrannical", leading to multilateral sanctions on the FEUSSR.

Early Life

Kum Jing-In was born in LinkXinyizhou in 1980, the only son to his parents. The Kum family was originally known as the Jin family; the family was a branch within the ruling Aisin-Gioro clan from the Qing Dynasty. The Kum family's ancestral home was in Mukden, with family members working as government "clerks" generation after generation. To move up the ladder in civil service, the men in these families often had to be transferred, and in the early 20th century, Kum's branch of the family moved to LinkKum City (then known as Pingyang). Even after the move, however, the family continued to view Mukden as its ancestral home.

Kum's grandfather and his granduncle were the first members of the family to move to Pingyang. His granduncle apparently passed the provincial examinations, and served as magistrate governing the city. His grandfather served as a prominent official in Shuntian. Years of intermarriage with notable local families eventually yielded Kum, the product of a mixed-race Manchu-Korean family. Soon after birth, he was adopted by his father's youngest brother after his birth father was killed in a car accident. According to Kum's own account, he was very close to his adoptive family and acquired his lasting interest in classical literature and opera from them. Kum was taught to read and write at an early age. He eventually moved to Xinyizhou to stay with his uncle, who worked in a government office there. Despite their pedigree, the Kum family was not especially politically influential, although they had enjoyed some revival of their political fortunes in the early 21st century. Kum's uncle was promoted to a magistrate in Zhili, and his sister joined the military as a high-ranking officer.

In Xinyizhou, he attended the Eastern Middle School. In 1993, Kum's uncle was transferred to Tientsin, and Kum was enrolled at the LinkNankai High School. He excelled in his studies there, having won several awards in the school's speech club, and becoming an editor of the school newspaper in his final year. He was one of the two valedictorians. By the time that he graduated from Nankai, his participation in debates and speech contributed to his eloquence and skills of persuasion. Kum left Nankai with a great desire to pursue public service, and to acquire the skills required to do so. Following many of his classmates, Kum went to Shuntian in July 1998 for tertiary studies. He was enrolled in Shuntian University, and his contemporary memoirs indicated a deep interest in politics and historical events, in particular, the Russian Revolution of 1917 and Bolshevism. He then embarked on a year of study abroad in Donau-Bundesreich at the LinkUniversität Wien. His experiences there opened his eyes to the ideology of pan-Asianism, after he witnessed prejudice, stigmatization, and racism against fellow Asian peers. He grew increasingly frustrated by the conservative Qing government and its unwillingness to further assert its nation's dignity, while also lamenting the need for reform in many aspects of life under the Qing.

At Vienna, Kum was described as a well-integrated and ambitious student who liked to play basketball, with good grades and attendance rating. His mother's sister, who served as the Qing ambassador to Danubia at the time, had a close relationship with him and acted as a mentor. Other reports described Kum as "a shy child who was awkward with girls and held radical political views, but who distinguished himself in sports." His active role in political movements began after his return to Chosun.

Political Career

After graduating with a LinkMaster of Laws in 2006, Kum returned to Chosun. Kum was motivated by a pan-Asian opposition to Western imperialism, creating the Pan-Asianist Coalition of the Qing in Pingyang which drew members from expatriates, workers, and soldiers.

His Coalition allied with the RWA during the Second Nian Rebellion, looking to establish a pan-Asianist state over the Qing. His military leadership was pocked with mixed success; at Jiangning, he was defeated and forced into retreat. Following the suppression of the RWA under the Qing, he escaped to Labyrnna, eventually settling down as a florist for a year. Stressing that overthrowing the Qing would result in chaos and would lead to the country being carved up by imperialists, Kum asked for a levelled response, proposing a series of reforms to strengthen the country. He thought that a revolution to replace the dynastic system with a modern nation-state should be a last resort based on the immeasurable amounts of deaths faced in inciting rebellion. He continued his reformist work under the auspices of the Far Eastern Unionist Party, where he merged various former revolutionary groups into one. His infamous "Future of East Asia" speech aroused much popular support amongst the masses, both at home and with expats, leading to his eventual return to the Qing.

He took a leading role in the Red Revolution, eventually overthrowing the Qing and leading to its abdication.

Leader of the FEUSSR

Kum's economic policy, named "Kumonomics", is based heavily on his First Five Year Plan. The policies emphasise the lessening of disparities via the use of distance learning, welfare payments, and greater endowments to lesser-known universities to permit wider comprehensive literacy, research output, and academic productivity. Other comprehensive economic measures introduced in his plans deregulate certain aspects of the economy - for instance, the biotech sector - while also granting the government greater leeway in intervention to curb unsustainable levels of debt risk. Most of his market reforms are based on demand-side reforms, i.e: by reducing inequalities, the people's ability to consume goods and services will be improved, thus increasing long-term, sustainable demand for goods and services.

Kum has pledged government support for companies engaging in R&D in 7 frontier fields, including artificial intelligence, quantum information, integrated circuits, life and health science, neural science, biological breeding, and aerospace technology. He has also presided over an economic boom in the Ryukyu Autonomous Kingdom, as well as the consolidation and founding of the region's own stock exchange.

Kum's housing policy has been based on the "One Household, One House" policy, which sees the provision of one house for each household across the country. Over 1 million housing units are slated to be built, all organised into housing cooperatives to permit democratic self-management. He has also presided over another set of mass housing programmes, aimed at granting affordable housing for lower-income residents, although this one targets rural communities via the construction of over 9,000 detached suburban houses in the Ussuri and Amur SSRs. Presiding over a bull market, Kum's leadership has seen a construction boom in the new state capital of Kum City, helping bring colour and creative architectural styles to the city. While in the past there was a concentration on building monuments, his government has constructed amusement parks, aquatic parks, skating rinks, a dolphinarium and a ski resort in the area.

Cult of Personality

The magnitude of adulation for the Supreme Leader often borders on fanaticism. Kum's photograph is displayed ahead of the national flag and national emblem; the state capital and the best institution of higher learning in the capital is named after him, as is the country's national flower. All publications include "words of instruction" or quotes from his teachings. Additionally, his name must be written as a single word in one line, it may not be split into two parts if there is a page break or the line of text runs out of room (for example: Kum Jing-In, not Kum Jing-...In).

Students are taught in school that they were fed, clothed and nurtured in all aspects by the brave, valiant efforts of the Marshal. Many of the larger elementary schools in the country have a room set aside for lectures that deal specifically with the Supreme Leader's policies and ideologies. The size of the images of him which adorned public buildings are regulated to be in proportion to the size of the building on which they hang, while his place of birth has also become a place of pilgrimage, with the hospital he was born in, his schools, and his childhood home named as Iconic Buildings not to be destroyed.

Personal Life

Personality

The personal retinues to Kum tend to have similar descriptions of him: that he was a fan of cricket, an avid hunter, and was physically intimidating despite his soothing voice. According to the Sejong Hakdang, Kum has visible interest in the welfare of his people and engages in greater interaction with them than prior rulers did. Close personal friends described him as straightforward, crude, yet intelligent and well-spoken.

Public Image

In a poll of 300,000 citizens conducted following the FEUSSR's founding, 88% of respondents said they trusted Kum, compared with 70% approval a couple months prior.

He is a regular donor to the Labyrnnan charity organisation, the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature). He makes monthly contributions valued at $50,000 USP.

Wealth

It is unknown as to how many assets Kum holds, but most estimates provide a range in net worth between $40 to $50 million USD. According to diplomatic sources, Kum "likes to drink and party all night, while also frolicking about in his collection of private vehicles". Insider sources say that Kum's fleet of vehicles include a variety of cars, tanks, as well as a LinkKT-1 turboprop aircraft, which he usually rides with his children, and a Z-9 helicopter. He is a licensed helicopter pilot.

Family

The spouses of Kum Jing-In have remained unknown and a topic of speculation by the popular media. Some sources allege that he had as many as three wives, while others amend the number to one or two. Fringe sources also claim that Kum was homosexual, or that he has a plethora of past partners, although none of these claims are substantiated. It is know that he has three children as a result of his marriage(s) - two sons (Kum Han-Sol, Kum Tay-won) and a daughter (Kum Jae-Yong) - all of whom serve in the military. Various reports put his children's ages at 18, 19, and 22 respectively. Kum Jae-Yong is the most visible of the trio, being a mixed-race child of Russian, Ukrainian, Manchu, and Korean heritage. All three serve in the Air Force as fighter pilots, having flown in their father's collection of vehicles during their youth.

He is sometimes accompanied by his younger sister Kum Woon-hye, who manages his public image and organises public events for him. According to official documents, Woon-hye was a graduate at Shuntian University and has previously occupied research positions in state laboratories. She is a fluent Russian speaker, and was awarded prizes for her proficiency in Russian in university. She was also awarded a doctorate for her thesis on quantum chemistry in 2019.

The Chairman's Speech / สุนทรพจน์ของประธาน / ຄຳ ປາໄສຂອງປະທານ / Bài phát biểu của Chủ tịch

Citizens of the Confederation, today marks the beginning of an even brighter future for Indochina. We are moving alongside the Asian Union to better Asia and our Confederation. For the first time since the creation of this union, we will not have to rely on our own power and money to build better infrastructure, to build better housing, and to make lives of Indochinese citizens better overall. Your High Government is in talks with the Asian Union, primarily Eulumia and the FEUSSR (Far Eastern Union of Soviet Republics), to revamp the rail line between this city, the city of Nakhonruang, and the city of Singapura. For a long time it has laid either unused, or it has gone without maintenance in some areas. This will no longer happen.

For those that wish to fight for the Confederation, do not be turned away by the fact that we have many different types of vehicles, weapons, and vessels. That will soon become standardized with our Asian allies. As you have all seen, with a union, so much more can be done. The Indochinese have worked together to keep this Confederation strong and proud. With your help, and with the help of the Asian Union, Indochina will enter a future some have only dreamed about. There is only a brighter future for Indochina from this point on.

Be mindful, however, that there are people amongst us that do not believe this future to be possible for this Confederation. Even in my attempts to better the lives of all my brothers and sisters, to better the lives of you all, they wish to usurp me from my position of Chairman. They wish to stop the progress I have made, and prevent the progress I will make. They wish to push us back. They wish to see conflict reign supreme and they wish to see the blood of their neighbors fill the street. For the betterment of the Confederation, protect our unity. Do not let non-believers spit on your hard work!

If you need proof of the Confederation moving forward towards a brighter future, look no further than businesses that you see around you both here in Nakhonruang and other places such as Saigon and Ha Onny. With Project Krachaioukpai, businesses will soon be across Asia and the world. We will no longer be looked down upon! To help with this, VinFast will lead the pack for Project Krachaiokpai. The High Government has allotted ₭5,015,965,000 (US$5,500,000) to help the company move forward to a point to where it can open in other nations. We expect this to happen in the next two months, and that will mark the beginning of Project Krachaiokpai.

The final thing I wish to say to you all is this: do not fear the future as the future holds fortune for us. Do not worry about the things that I as Chairman do as I am working for you! I am working for this Confederation. Contrary to recent events, I am working to keep this union together, and working to keep it strong. I, sadly, must deal with people that do not feel the same. Our progress will not be hindered, however! Indochina will prevail! Asia will prevail! Hail the Confederation! Hail the Union!

Football Association announces state funded women soccer league

Feb 28, Cairo - The Football Association has recently announced a new league for Women's Soccer, with an initial 12 teams expanding into 20 teams by the 2023/24 season. The new league would be televised for the first time in Egypt women soccer's history, and fans will be allowed to attend.

"We hope that this league shows the women's place as an equal in Egyptian society, for long women's soccer was underfunded and underdeveloped which led to a very low quality of soccer being played. We hope that with this new league, complete with funding for academies and grassroot projects for women's soccer, would allow for women soccer to reach the same quality as men's football. Which is very likely to happen in the next decade or so." Said the head of the football associations, Ahmed Shokri.

So far Cairo, Alexandria, Luxor, Gouna, Giza, Port Said, Ismalliya, and Shubra El Kheima are all going to be represented in the league. Furthermore, plans to introduce a second Cairo and Alexandria clubs are in place. All in all, this is a monumental step for women's soccer in Egypt, and this move should provide a great opportunity for it to develop and thrive.
