Ah, Jagged Little Pill. Some decent songs from that album, although I have the feeling there were some parts I could have enjoyed more.

Honestly ? I gave up. What's the bloody point.
So I found contentment in silence. In the quiet appeasement of emotional shutdown. No one is allowed in my own, private world of Grace and Beauty.
Like great actress Greta Garbo said,
I want to be let alone.

Finding contentment in silence I can imagine, but when expressed as emotional shutdown, ummm that does not sound ideal. I did not know Alanis Morisette, not really, except that she’s from Ottawa. It was deep stuff. Je te remercie.

Deep beyond her age. She was just 21 when the album was released.

Being alone doesnt mean being on a desert island. It's giving your feelings a choice of direction without the interference of others.

Ah that’s good. I understand that.

Mmm...thanks. I wish it sounded more committed to solitude than it did.

The idea of being able to travel to the future is mind-bogglingly massive that I can barely fathom it.
Of course I would want to travel to the future.
With enough insight and learning, it is possible to at least fathom what the past was like, and get a gradual understanding of events. Heck, we learn such things in Edmigitian school! Starting in like the semi-advanced grade!
But the future, I, you, and everyone else here will never experience it, never even get a written slip of paper that would hint to us what the future is like.
The idea of being able to know something impossible, to learn something that I will never learn, I would give anything for.
And sorry for being so Gun-ho about such a simple poll. But if you know me, which of course you don't, I am very passionate about a plethora of simple things.

Yes not Louis himself but Madame de Maintenon, the secret Queen, his secret wife.

Ummm as much as the past fascinates me I wouldn’t want to be stuck in a period where life was short and brutal and homosexuals are despised. I’d rather take my chance on the future, maybe thirty years from now, and see what has changed.

Homosexuals being despised is, as far as we can tell, a kinda recent thing. Although this is the historian definition of recent, not the normal one that actually makes sense.

I mean. Ancient and Classical Greece was unique, there were a few Gay Roman Emperors (and at least one Trans Emperor/Empress), Emperor Ai of the Han Dynasty in China notably had a male lover (Dong Xian), and I could keep going on honestly.

Historians in the past 200 years have done a lot of damage to the presentation of LGBTQ+ history. Heck, Akkad & Sumer had a myth involving a nonbinary person.

In Homosexual Love, banana distribution among collective farm workers is an important topic in public discourse.

yeah that's why i'd skip out on the boring and bigoted recent past and go to the based and interesting ancient past. start a farm, end up with my own city-state.

Introverts leading. What a surprise (not).

I wanna say introvert, but I ask people to hangout way too much to be an introvert.
