I'm a Pecan tree (Carya illinoinensis). The seeds of the pecan tree is an edible nut used as a snack and in various recipes such as praline candies and pecan pies. I love to eat pecans, praline candies and pecan pies. :)

we "plant" lots of them in public places in dry climates and where kids would be too hard on real ones.
of course they don't have branches they can climb on and break, and the tops are way up where nothing but birds can reach them.
not only do they conserve water, but produce a fair share of our nation's energy consumption.
of course they're never meant to replace real forests, which cover more then 98% of cameroi, but as a common vandel resistant feature for public spaces such as open farmers flea markets and other public plazas. and their shade is always welcome and prevent open spaces from being empty and dead. and this helps keeping people from being board and wanting to decorate in ways less aesthetic.

I'll say I'm a Pacific madrone (Arbutus menziesii). They are endemic to the coastal areas of the Pacific Northwest and Northern California where I am from.
I would have to say that I'm the kind of tree that needs forest fires to reproduce.
