I don't think I could ever become a politician lol. In DK we have a tradition of making the last yearly parliamentary debate into a marathon debate that can last hours, and this year it was 14 hours 😩 Imagine showing at 9 and then debate until 23

I’m weirdly good at creating webs of lies which in theory should make me a very good politician.

Yesterday me and my football/soccer ⚽️ team got a video greeting from David Moberg Karlsson ⚽️🇸🇪😱
David Moberg Karlsson is born in mariestad, Sweden and I am also from mariestad🇸🇪 And David said in that video:🇸🇪det spelar ingen roll om man kommer från Mariestad som är en liten stad man kan bli fotbollsspelare oavsett.

In English:🇺🇸🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 it does not matter if you come from Mariestad which is a small town you can become a football player regardless.

Mate you said it before.
Congratulations.

Gonna be honest never heard of the lad, either.

What is your nation based off?

Well yeah, obviously you can become a sports player starting anywhere. Believe it or not, football/soccer is pretty much the world's most popular sport, people from small towns the world over play it. Pardon me if I come across as overly apathetic or pushy about it, but you don't need to keep posting this, we get it and are glad that you enjoy playing the sport but if you keep posting the same thing its going to begin counting as spam. Just a pro tip.

Today is Cyrillic Alphabet Day :D

My neighbors in New York have cancelled the US History Regents Exam for this year due to the Buffalo Tops Massacre earlier this month. Apparently they said there was content in the test that would be sensitive given the circumstances (shockingly, US history has some not pleasant stuff in it). I'm not saying it is right or wrong, but it is certainly an interesting debate over the extent to which present events should affect student testing.

(For those of you who don't know, the regents are high-school level exams in the Northeastern (and maybe elsewhere) United States in different subjects. They've been mostly cancelled for the past two years due to Covid)

Statement from the Council of Ministers of the GDR

by Den deutsche demokratische republik

Ministerrat der DDR

24 May 2022

Today, Chairwoman Katja Kipping of the Council of Ministers of the German Democratic Republic received Gennady Andreevich Zyugonov, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, for bilateral talks in East Berlin. This is only Comrade Zyuganov's second visit to the GDR since 1996.

Upon arrival in the Capital of the GDR, the Communist Party delegation joined GDR government officials for a wreath laying ceremony at the Soviet War Memorial, in
Treptower Park. Meetings will be held at the Palace of the Republic beginning at 10:00 AM, until the two sides break for lunch at 1:15 PM. A state dinner will then be held this evening, at the Palace of the Republic.

Tomorrow, General Secretary Zyuganov and Chairwoman Kipping will begin touring the factories and towns of the German Democratic Republic, as meetings will continue to be held between the delegations of the GDR and the CC KPRF throughout the day in East Berlin. The KPRF delegation will return to Moscow in the evening of 26 May.

As a New York teacher, I was familiar with the new Regents Exam structure. It's very possible that it did include sensitive content. President William McKinley was assassinated in Buffalo. Nonetheless, I believe that, given the recent surge in infections and sickness, plus the fact that New York is the last state with Regents, and that children in New York haven't really experienced that "regular classroom experience" until March, forcing every student to take these examinations is a little unfair. It should once again be left to the judgment of parents and students. They just made all of the exams more difficult while also making them shorter. 😬
