How does one join this group?
Why? I have good ideas, I respect the rules, and I want to have a bigger part in the region. What is wrong with that? Everybody who runs says the same thing.
You ran a good first campaign SICE. Up against any other candidate you would've won easily

Scarlett: "I continue to run over and over, not letting anything stop me, even if it means running for a different position entirely."
gg man, but still time is left, you never know.
Tu quoque (Or, in this case, Ea quoque) has never been a good argument, even if your and Scarlett's campaign were comparable.

But the people who run as if its their life's calling are worrying, not just with how intent they are to win, but what they're willing to do to get there. You want politician advice? Never run like this. You seem to talk down to everyone when in campaign mode and honestly its rather disgusting

Maybe the real campaign was the friends we made along the way.
No but seriously, I managed to garner a lot of support despite not sending any campaign TGs, not writing a campaign dispatch, and generally acting as if the election wasn't even happening. I'm still shocked that I got this far and nearly managed to beat Scarlett, and I'm very grateful that despite everything, I managed to make this week a good one for both myself and Europe. I guess if there was one lesson I could take away from this election, it's that you don't need to blast people with campaign dispatches and campaign TGs to win. Running an honest and clean campaign will get you just as far as running a typical campaign, and that proof of concept will allow me to continue being an honest person and candidate. So thank you, Europe.

That's a pretty lighthearted thing that stems from the fact that I've been around a long time. It's not malicious in the slightest. I'm pretty chill with whoever ends up winning this election.

I will keep that in mind for the next election if you think so. But I don't want to look very aggressive. I just want a chance to prove myself to people like you who think I am too radical or too focused. Just give me a chance, and I promise I will deliver for the sake of the region.
That's how you run a good campaign SICE. Its all about the people and running a positive good faith campaign. I look forward to seeing you in the Commission soon 💗

Me too, I respect whoever wins, and I have never bullied or gotten angry at the winning candidate of the elections I have been in, and it is not going to start now.
The people who crave power the most are often the ones who do not deserve it...

Is the election a First-past-the-post situation or do we do a sort of ranked voting system where the person with the least votes has their votes moved to another candidate?

I'd like to leave this RMB off with a principle, not stemming from the Machiavellian ideas of power, but from a more realistic standpoint. Power, and the path towards it, expose the true nature of those wielding and working towards it. In other words, no matter how hard one might try, power exposes one's true nature whether they want it to or not.

Yeah I realised now that transitioning votes to the other candidates is just too long and is an inefficient process on NS.

I don't crave power like a mad power-hungry dictator, I just want to make a difference as we all do. Why is it me that is getting focused? I want to just help.
Machiavelli was brutally realistic, I think thay idea of power was correct.
Sorry for pointing that out, but I really love the guy, such a cool dude, he understood everything 200 years before political philosophy was in-depth studied.

Walfo it’s not so much they care what you will do as commissioner but they are mostly speaking about how you are trying to win this election
The fact that you think I'm talking about you is a very bad sign.
The New Nordic Union, Rivierenland, Libertandonien, and Drew Durrnil
Personally, I have three reasons why I wouldn't want to run. First, my own personal life, including school, means I have little time to be on here. Two, I'm not terribly interested in the game enough to warrant actually running, although if I had the time I might consider it. Lastly, I just don't think I would be good enough in any position compared to other people running.
The Champions League, Drew Durrnil, and Galician federation
I think he was a little... too brutally realistic. If you look at everyone who has ever held power, you often see that the "brutal reality of power" doesn't actually exist. It varies based on who the person is, for good or bad. That explanation actually explains most rulers (as sad as it is to say) much better than Machiavelli.
I want to believe that power universally corrupts, which is why I typically shunned it, But studying history gives you an odd sense of relief when you realize that it's not actually true. If anything, Machiavelli actually gives justification for dictatorships while undermining good, democratic rulers.
