Part of the beauty of freeform roleplay lies in the creation of unique countries that, for geopolitical reasons would (and probably should) never exist in the real world. Large, sprawling military dictatorships. Alliances of small city-states scattered around the world. Huge empires which occupy many smaller lands. This is not possible on a map which is confined by rl boundaries, however would be possible on a new map with large undivided by rl nation lines.

This is what I've said all along. RL stats and facts have no place in RP. Baring things like Newton's First Law. Jashfania has half a billion pop, I don't care about "Australia".

Well we were more thinking allowing people to create them themselves... Or we could divide the custom map on areas with specific material creation.. like some areas could be creating more Gold others more Oil etc

It would help a lot import dependant nations to trade with export dependant nations and vice versa.

Note on option 4: running two rp canons is hard. I've tried it in another region and it didn't work.

Tbh Nexus Corporations and TOTALITE are universal concepts, my lore won't get wiped no matter what and I work with anything - especially since I have more...sci-fi goodies stored away as well. Most likely if we can go by lore of our own canon universes I coud be the most OP thing here...still though, since I am cartographer it is indeed my duty to represnt equality in chances of success and initial power, we'll have to see how well I can make up the new map with rules etc....might resign and hand over the job to someone else but....idk if I trust anyone enough to do that.

I think a fantasy map is a good idea, as well as ft. But we probably should get a few successful rps going before then to make sure we're not splitting our time too much.
