Cybus1 wrote:Upon arrival, a pair of ships would be at the meeting place; a Newton Class Destroyer from the Technate, and a Warden Class Frigate from the Empire. The meeting-place was a small pre-fabricated base established by the Technocratic ship, sturdy and well-defended. A pair of Synths and Imperial Marines would escort the Mancers inside, where two men stood awaiting their arrival. One was tall, slim, with blonde hair and, unusually, crimson eyes. He was unnaturally handsome, despite the odd eyes, and was thus most likey a Baneshiek. He wore the black and red dress uniform of the Technocratic Fleet. Taylor Callax. The other, the Cybusian, was equally tall, but was more heavily muscled then his counterpart, and wore a suit of power armor. Jackson DeWitt. DeWitt spoke first.
“Thank you for responding to our message. We know your empire is in the midst of a catastrophe unrivaled since the Rebellion that befell my own. I am still waiting on our Corsahn allies to arrive, but we will briefly lay out our goals.”
Callax spoke up, striding forward.
“To put it bluntly, the catastrophe that has befallen the Sterkian people is but a foretaste of what is to come. We believe that a war between our nations and the Ocearan alliance system is inevitable, one that will obliterate both the great powers. We seek to preserve even a small part of our nation, our technology, our culture and history, so we may rise from the ashes. Given the historical closeness between the Cybusian and Sterkian empires, I felt the Sterkian people should be afforded the same opportunity as our Corsahn brothers. We may not share a genetic code, but we are brother nations nonetheless.”

Corsahnim, didn’t want to say your people had arrived yet, but I can edit this if you wish to say they did.

"I must give my appreciation for the invitation, although you may also want to get in contact with Section 04, they probably have a stash of technology from before the Calamity War." the Saguepol responded, removing his helmet, Liam Boriali a fairly young and well-built man, with scars on his head and neck resided underneath. Also motioning to the other Mancer to do the same, Sayri Hio, a female mancer of unknown type. She looked on with a fair amount of distrust at the Cybusians, she had heard whispers of Baneshiek, Sirens and Evolved from her time with the group of Drakul hunters. But she had faith in Liam, she would follow him to hell and back.

The Mancers were quiet when the Corsahnim agent arrived, clearly the Cybusians had a greater deal to discuss technology-wise with what was essentially their actual brother nation. Liam pondered which technologies could actually be useful should such an apocalypse occur. He spoke up in a free moment.
"I assume you'd look mostly for older technologies from pre-calamity Sterkistan. However an Ahab Reactor or two wouldn't go astray, power is necessary in such an event after all."
Sayri spoke up, catching a sideways cautionary glance from Liam,
"I don't understand why you'd want us here unless you want something specific? Your technologies are more advanced than what our nation has anyway."

The Orson Empire
Year: 2019
The Ocearan Military Representative to Edward has recommended that the Wagains call up their Reservists to dissuade Orson Invasion, as if the Wagains can bulk up their border territories they can make it so the Orsonians will not want a three on one war and only attack the Mamaran Empire to pull in Oceara without Wagain Entry into the war.

This would not only secure Wagain Territorial integrity but work alongside current allied strategy of using Wagondia's Industry rather than their manpower to overcome the Orsonian Juggernaut.

Timmy City wrote:Boeing is looking for a new global maintenance hub. The site must have an educated workforce and open land. Tax breaks, cash incentives, and other types of incentives are recommended. Sites with lower labour costs are a plus.
Its current location is in Tokyo and Osaka,SRA. The cost of labour is too high there and the sites are in different spots.

We can offer two premium sites for Boeing's operations. The first is at Clark International Airport, just north of Manila in the Philippines. As a former Air Force Base, it has a long runway and considerable land for expansion. It is also advantageously placed at the center of the booming East Asian commercial air network, making it easily accessible from major airports such as Hong Kong, Singapore, and Shanghai. We can also offer an Americas hub at Mexicali International Airport, which is better suited to maintain American and trans-Pacific aircraft. Located in the Sonoran Desert, the climate is dry and warm and there is plenty of land for expansion.

Both of these sites are near large population centers which can offer an educated local workforce as well as housing and entertainment for Boeing employees. As is the case throughout Wagondia, land is cheap and labor is relatively inexpensive, in keeping with the lower overall cost of living. Both Metro Manila and the Tijuana-Mexicali urban corridor have extensive heavy industry, so equipment will never be far away. Our central government, in collaboration with state and local authorities, is prepared to offer substantial tax breaks and discounted land, with the provision that at least 50% of the workforce is Wagain. At the Mexicali site, there has been interest in creating a technical aviation training program with the University of Baja California and the Tijuana Institute of Technology, which will directly funnel workers into Boeing's operations in the area.

Prime Minister Barrachina has met with the Emperor and decided to follow the advice of our Orsonian colleagues. Over the next week, the Territorial Guard Regiments of Angola, Equatorial Guinea, São Tomé, and the Philippines will be called up and dispatched to the border. In addition, three elite regiments (two from the Marine Infantry and one from the Foreign Legion) have been dispatched to Angola. Our strategists view the threat of invasion to the Philippines as somewhat lower, given our large naval presence in Subic Bay, though a strike force led by the carrier HSMS Francisco Miranda has left Guam en route to the South China Sea.

Currently on the Hill, if you guys were curious of how people are viewing the Admins action then its wanted to act, but people around him stopped it from doing anything.

Boeing is interested in these offerings however would like the communities to offer more than tax breaks and land. They are also looking for direct financial incentives from all government levels, infrastructure improvements, preferential financial terms, and having the communities pay for some of the cost of the new facilities. An Amazon type deal.

Reduced property and corporate taxes will function as the financial incentives. We are willing to cede the land required for free and upgrade road and rail infrastructure in both areas, though we will not contribute to the cost of construction. Doing so would be in contravention of ethics laws that prevent the issue of monetary grants to foreign corporations.

The Ocearan Military has put in an order for one billion rounds of ammunition to Wagain Munitions Corporations, hoping to get them to start expanding output so that in wartime the corporations can better handle the even larger orders necessary to keep millions of troops supplied in the field in wartime.

But it would be legal since they would be using their novoian based subsidiaries.

Since I'm working on the new Canon for my nation: Is there anything that you guys believe I should keep in my nation and its history? What are some things that I should leave out?

It'd be interesting to see what you guys choose.

I like the corporations.

Corsahnim has always been technologically focused, always keeping on par with the Cybusians in sheer prowess alone

While we're more focused on economic development in conjunction with tech, we already made strides to make our military more powerful with the introduction of a new Frigate, the Scrambler.

While not necessarily the best for assaulting any huge force directly, the Scrambler's smaller size than most frigates makes it a great choice for orbital combat and protecting flagships, especially in bigger numbers. Equipped with an astounding 146 turbolasers/missile bays, even one could pack a punch in a smaller defense force, and with some modifications can be made into a poor man's flagship despite not having a hangar bay. However, their current use in the military are as protectors of the Main Fleet, with specific orders to protect the largest ship in the Imperium, the Arcadian.

Interesting!
I’m guessing the Arcadian is a dreadnought of some sort?

Cybus1 wrote:Interesting!

That it is. One so big that, as said before, can cause severe tidal problems to arise if anywhere near the orbit of a planet.

We are currently increasing the size of the Fleet to its protection, with several other models on the way.

Corsahnim wrote:"The Library would rather have the blueprints to those weapons, but I think that my fellow agents would rather have information of the expensive kind. Specifically about the Wrack. I'm sure you have Torchwood contacts that can give us information about some rather obscure groups. That and many of the criminals we've chased down went there, and we're looking to close those cases. As for the other two, you can ask of them what they demand yourself in the next meeting. By this time next month we'll have a station in a place of your choice inside of an asteroid. It's cheaper than cloaking."

“I can try to provide it if you wish, but what do you mean by obscure groups?”

3000:
Nyarlathotep appeared in the Imperial Throne Room. Alex formed a blade-arm, preparing to engage, when he was suddenly crippled by agonizing pain as Nyarlathotep snapped his fingers. He fell to his knees. Nyarlathotep smirked cockily.
“It’s amusing seeing you think that little Crown makes you stronger than me…I don’t see it on you now, so I can have my fun with you.”
“No. Soko-“
“Nobody can hear you. Your all alone here. Well, there’s always your darling sister, Dana. I wonder…how would you fare without her to give you good advice and keep you from reverting to your base instincts? I think I would enjoy watching that.”
He strolled off to Dana’s room. Several blasts from Dana’s Reaper shotgun were heard, as were the sounds of energy weapons being discharged, but then there was just screams and the sound of fine shoes on the marble as Nyarlathotep dragged Dana by her hair before Alex, still on his knees, fighting to get up.
“Watch your sister die…again. Unable to do anything about it but watch as I kill her in front of your eyes.”
“LET ME GO!”
“No, I don’t think I will.”
Dana’s ice blue eyes were filled with fear and panic, and she looked to Alex. He, barely able to think, nodded. Dana looked oddly surprised, but a moment later her eyes flushed dark red, like Alex’s sometimes did, before settling into an unnatural purple. Nyarlathotep’s expression became quizzical, before a shockwave of energy hurled him away.
“GO AWAY!”
The Crawling Chaos stared, confused.
“What? I killed you and you didn’t do this before? What is-“
He was silenced as Dana used telekinesis to clamp his jaw shut.
“My brother and I do not deserve to be bothered by the likes of you, Nyarlathotep. I’ve watched you terrorize my brother for centuries, only to be thrown back to The Dreamlands over and over. Now I can do it too. Does it hurt when an avatar dies? I hope it hurts.”
With this, Dana stretched her hands out, arcs of purple lighting arcing from her fingers, a simulations flame enveloping the Crawling Chao’s avatar. She began applying more telekinetic force to compress the jaw into the skull, teeth shattering. A few moments later, he vanished. Dana fell to her knees, exhausted.
“Are you alright Dana?”
“Yes...tired, how do you do this all the time Alex?”
“In time you’ll be able to do it too. More importantly, Nyarlathotep knows he cannot kill you anymore, at least not without a fight from the strongest Banshee alive."

OOC: Dana is not normally strong enough to stand up to Nyarlathotep, she caught him by surprise.

"I'll see what I can do. We haven't been able to collect samples of Mancers that we can use in cloning or gene replication. Because the Mancer genome is a mutation of Sterkian DNA we haven't been able to identify, there is a chance that biological samples taken from Mancers will not contain the Mancer gene, and if it does, any clones made from that gene may not come out as Mancers."

As news of the Ocearans beginning general mobilization and the Wagains calling up their Territorial Guard, this would only provide an excuse for the Orsonians to continue their military build-up and call up additional reserves, seemingly validating Turner's claim that Orson was being backed into a corner, surrounded on multiple sides by hostile nations. Already, there were calls for a pre-emptive strike on the Tri-Imperial Material Alliance; of course, the general public was unaware of Turner's "Grand Plan", and Turner was already several steps ahead of them. It would take years for the Ocearans to reach peak mobilization, while millions of Imperial troops were already in place and ready for an invasion. However, the vast and exceptionally powerful Mamaran Empire was expected to be an even harder nut to crack, as they possessed a population and manpower advantage over Orson. It was clear that the next war would have to be started in Mamaran territory, and the Orsonians would have to launch a devastating blitzkrieg that would send the Sultan and his forces reeling before they could be brought to bear against Orson.

The disposition of Imperial troops worldwide reflected the Grand Plan. There were currently 18,000,000 active personnel in the Imperial Military, with hundreds of thousands more being called out of reserve every month; of this amount, 11,000,000 were stationed throughout Africa, India, and Southeast Asia, ready to strike at Mamaran territories, while 4,000,000 directly on the African border with Oceara, manning the thousands of border fortifications and bunkers located in the area (collectively known as the "Nigerian Wall", and meant to help delay the war with the Ocearans while the Orsonians could focus on the Mamarans). Additionally, many elite Imperial Commando divisions, and the vast majority of the Empire's well-drilled, crack veterans (who had been serving the Empire for over 5 years, and were highly experienced) were stationed near Marmara and Oceara.

Wagondia was not directly included in the Grand Plan, as it was risky to launch a direct invasion as the Cybusians would certainly intervene. However, if the Wagains entered the war on their own accord, there were 1,500,000 troops in Africa and Indonesia drilled and ready to execute War Plan Wagondia, which called for a direct invasion of the Phillippines and Angola. The Imperial Navy also possessed large bases in the Indonesian islands and the Spratly Islands in the South China Sea, where a number of islands have been artificially expanded and military bases constructed on them (OOC- I explained more in this post: page=rmb/postid=33968791). There are heavy railgun batteries and missile silos installed throughout the Spratly Islands, which could bombard the Phillippines and Mamaran territories in the area.

"We simply mean anything that's new and not well known. We're aware of experiments with Drakul, for instance, but we have no idea who's behind it. We like being kept in the loop on such things - even with the recent government crackdown on criminals, we still have enemies more than capable of using resources in the Wrack that we can't even touch, let alone imagine. The Library itself hasn't assigned anyone there, mostly because it's foreign territory. I myself, however, take that as a weakness."

Another swig of Evol'cor Whiskey, this time no coughing. "One of my friends had also been taken at gunpoint by one of the groups who ran there. I don't, however, have any authority in the Library past this mission to either find him or ask Torchwood anything. Let's just say he's important, and he and my dad were war buddies."

The Ocearans have a high war enthusiasm, believing that even despite being outnumbered in the field 2-to-1 that they have the advantage with the Orsonians focusing their more offensive-suited assets and air units on the Mamaran Front... Just the same kind of forces that would be most useful in defeating Oceara's breakthrough forces.

The real challenge will be defeating the Orsonian Commandos in fortified positions, no doubt the ones on Oceara's border will be positioned almost exclusively on the Flanks of the Niger Salient as those are the critical points where the entire Orson Front could break. The Ocearans would stand to lose all of their offensive punch in that one attack, so if the Commandos succeed in holding their ground they will succeed in their mission in keeping the Ocearan Front inactive for years.

High Command is getting impatient waiting for the Sultan to make their move, and are considering attacking themselves. But the Emperor isn't quite convinced such a move would be the right choice as the Sultan hasn't responded with their own declaration of support.

Global Trotter,UPS, Fedex, and other airlines will be withdrawing any novoain staff members from the orsonian routes for the next two weeks, to ensure they don't get left in Orson if there is any battle.

I've sent a telegram to Andrew regarding a potential change in China's involvement in Taiwanese history, though I have to say here that regardless of whether or not he agrees with the change, I will not be able to implement anything as of right now.

Me and my family are going to be waking up at around 6 AM tomorrow (the 21st, just for clarification) to leave for Florida as a sort of vacation during Spring/Easter Break. As I've stated multiple times in the past, my family's laptop is pretty messed up, and therefore we will not be bringing it with us on our trip....Because of this, I will not have access to my files while we are gone. I will still have my phone and pop in every once in a while, but I will not be able to do anything major.

All non-stop and ones that stop in Fiji, New Caledonia, Tahiti, or Vanuatu noncargo flights operated by our airlines that go from orson to novo or vice versa will be canceled for the next two weeks because of ongoing unpredictable tensions. Passengers will be booked onto other flights on other airlines that may lengthen their travel time. Many people may have to transit through the US, Canada, Europe, Qatar, or the UAE due to the new temporary restrictions.

Flights to and from Luanda to Lagos are exempted under these restrictions and will continue to allow novoian/orsonian employees to work on the route.

Corvus Airways has proposed regular airship services between Germany, the U.K., U.S.A, and the Wagain Empire.
The proposed route is:
Berlin, London, Rapture, New York, somewhere in the southeast, Havana, Santa Catalina, and then back again.

Other proposed routes include a line from Germany to Italy, then down to Mamaran and Wagain Africa. Another proposed route is from Germany to China, then on to the Phillippines or the Japan, making a stop in Istanbul along the way.
However, the proposed African route would necessitate traveling through Ocearan and/or Orsonian territory, neither of which we have good relations with, or undergoing a detour over the ocean.
