(Not RP wise but OOC wise yes 0w0)
(hewwo there)
Kanna Kamui and Dominion remnants
(It was a friendly race -w-)
(Idk you called it a Cold War.)
(I don't get it.)
no attacking anyone. war cannot occur today.
(I still don't get it...)
I am catholic but I live in a protestant country. (Sweden)
To avoid un-win able conflict, it is. However, just use it a little is okay... With factbooks combination of course.
My personal preference is to not use them, but I am aware that sometimes people end up with all sorts of craziness and no way to really get that to stop if there’s not objective baseline in place. So I’ve been in some communities where some stats are used, but even then, I actually usually kind of half ignore it because they don’t concern me too much. Personally, I think that if you want to use NS stats, go for it, but unless it’s a community rule, don’t expect other people to do the same by default.
Great britain and greater sweden, Dominion remnants, and The Armada of Refuge
(I saw two! They were both very cute and well behaved. Happy Easter! Can't have this be long, my dad's serving in the sound booth for the early service... *sigh*)
I wasn't referring to my stats to sound superior or anything, I was just using them as a way of saying we can probably kill dragons. Tbh I think using stats as a base is a good idea, just so you don't get crazily op. A privitive nation shouldn't be rolling out with futuristic giant death beams imo, but them using magic is fine. I'm rping as a pretty normal nation in a region with demons and magic and dragons. I have to have something I can fight back with so I use my technological advancement and large army.
(I can't use stats because it made no sense for my faction in the first place. So i just ignored it.)
United cult of britain, Great britain and greater sweden, Chichiyaku, and The Armada of Refuge
That's entirely fair. I kinda forgot that this place doesn't really feature an extensive set of rules other than the basics of "don't metagame, don't godmod, use common sense", which is nice because of the freedom it provides, but it can also be problematic in some cases. I'm not as used to that anymore, as Iwaku's RP died out years ago, which was the only place where I have been that featured a similar policy (until we introduced rules for the map stuff, which didn't succeed in reanimating the thing sadly enough).
In contrast, a rather recent region I really enjoyed had 11 basic RP rules, map rules, tech rules + tree, species rules, and lore about humanity. You can probably see where I became estranged from the system in this place.
(To be fair, as long as people apply common sense, a "here to write a story and not to win" mentality, and a policy of balancing yerself and not randomly powerhousing everything even if one is capable of it, things are usually fine.)
(Sadly the Hakurei Barrier is the barrier of Common sense.)
(Ah, THAT explains why the older RPs I've been in were always infested by at least one person without common sense! Because an Irish colonial empire and a 2018 liberal Britain in 1908 make complete sense. Wait.)
(No, not them. Me! I'm the Touhou one. Not them! -w-)
(And I already nerfed myself to the point of being weaker than pretty much everything. Which is sad... :( )
