Iran isn't the incredibly authoritarian hell state that the media says it is, Iran is about as democratic as the US (read: not democratic at all, just like America!).
Iranian women are by no means in a good spot but they're not in quite as bad a spot as you probably think. Iran has some dumb laws concerning hijabs and the like but they aren't as bad as a lot of south asian countries you never hear about.
This is not as big of an issue as Israel would have you believe.

Iran’s a dictatorship alright, but so is everywhere. The Iranian government killed communists, The only reason I have to “like” them is that the government of Israel doesn’t like them.
Iran absolutely abuses human rights, their prisons are terrible and their elections probably have some degree of fraud. Wikipedia isn’t a good source to learn about that though.
