The Region of Dagon welcomes H. P. Lovecraft enthusiasts and scholars!

Dagon is a role-play region founded in honor of Howard Phillips Lovecraft, 1890-1937, inspired by the Cthulhu Mythos and Lovecraftian works of weird fiction such as The Shadow over Innsmouth and Dagon.

Civility is appreciated and academic study is well regarded in Dagon. Nazis and invaders are not welcome. Dagon’s nation-states may be villainous exclusively for role-playing intents and purposes.

After the 40-day operation which liberated ancient R'lyeh from the hands of foreign invaders, and a brief welcome stay in re-founded R'lyeh, Arlyeh has returned to its home region.

Old Rlyeh was founded by a nation-state which ceased to exist in NS more than a decade ago… may the new region live countless times as long!

Iä-R'lyeh! Cthulhu fhtagn! Iä! Iä!

For the successful liberation of Rlyeh, which had been previously occupied by barbarians neither Lovecraftian nor Cthulhuian, Arlyeh acknowledges Lovecraft_Country's Wilbur whateley for planning and commanding the campaign, and Rlyeh's native The necrotelicomnicon for being the region's delegate throughout the operation.

Honorable recognition is also given to Ostermarche and Reawakened cthulhu for founding old and new Rlyeh respectively.

Note: Archive.org's catalog (e.g. the "Nearly Complete H. P. Lovecraft Collection" entry) is a noteworthy repository for Lovecraft's stories in spoken-word audio file formats, such as the notable Dagon and Other Macabre Tales anthology, typically extracted from old cassette book readings.
